According to online sources, the PNY is comparable to the Samsung EVO series and costs significantly less. I purchased this to speed up an ACER laptop who's 1TB 5400 RPM was somewhat lacking in terms of speed (read: slow as a turtle). The PNY sped up the laptop tremendously, making me want to actually use it again!

I've install quite a few of these PNY drives. They are simple to image with the "included" downloadable software. The speed increase always brings a smile the my customers.

With adapter and cable (not included ),supplied software cloned hard drive and fit into the desktop tower just like the one it replaced. Booted up. Couldn't ask for more.

My 14 year old son actually installed this in a computer he built a couple of years ago. He made a bit for bit copy of his boot drive onto this and simply swapped this in for the "old" spinning disk. His computer boots in about a third the time it used to and anything that has to do with accessing the drive takes a fraction of the time it use too. One big advantage is there's no need to ever have the computer "put the drive to sleep" so it's always ready to access immediately! It really gave new life to an old machine! Not to mention that the machine runs about 7 to 10 degrees cooler!!

Night and day preformance from the 5200 mechanical hd i was useing. Revitalized my aging comp. Cloning my hard drive was a bit of a chore but i figured it out.
