Amazing upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible speed, unbelievable performance, This is the best computing decision I ever made, laptop boots up in seconds, hopefully giving me much more use out of a computer that was on it's last leg (it replaced a HDD which even new was nowhere close to the speed of this SDD).

Great upgrade for any desktop or labtop.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install , great price. I highly suggest using EZgig data transfer software to migrate your data. I have had issues with other data migration software , and EZgig worked flawlessly each time I have used it. This SSD will speed up any computer , highly recommended

Fast and Quiet SSD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great SSD hard drive for my laptop. It sped my laptop boot time dramatically. On cloning the old HD, the SSD made the time go by fast. And, it quieted my laptop greatly by not heating up the laptop thus not using the cooling fan as much. Excellent cost to performance value.

Good size, inexpensive, and fast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been a while since I purchased an SSD (and am used to Macs now, for which their internal SSD specs command a significant premium), so I was more than pleasantly surprised to find a SSD in the 500 GB range for just a little over $100. Simply stated, this drive is big for a SSD and it is fast. This was an upgrade from a 5400 rpm hard drive that was in my gaming PC. My Windows 10 boot time went from 30'ish seconds to under five seconds with this drive. The 480 GB also gave me plenty of room to install the OS and numerous games. I still have another mechanical drive in my computer for storage of videos, songs, and other media as 480 GB is still on the small size for storage of those files (at least for me). Given the speed and price, however, I have no complaints with the size, which is still pretty good for an SSD at 480 GB. This upgrade was a no-brainer for me!

Fast hard drive in lieu of a standard hard drive.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This hard drive performs very well. It has a good price to storage ratio and comes from a very reliable company. It would be best if it came with and adapter from 2.5 inches to 3.5 inches to make it easier to replace a standard 3.5 inch drive.

awsome and fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.over all....its a keeper...installed into my desktop pc, used the given PNY mirror image program was easy to do. the only bad was; you need a SATA cable to USB to transfer the info(sold separately ). after I installed it. my computer starts in 5 sec. from OFF and from login screen to desktop screen its 3 sec.My old HD drive took total of 30 sec to boot from OFF to desktop.

Roomy SSD drive, great price and performance!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roomy SSD drive, great price and performance! I love that these have no moving parts. I used this to upgrade a laptop. Now, no moving parts, nothing to break. I have been using SSD drives since they first arrived on scene. These are great!

Great upgrade for my Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This upgrade to Solid State Hard Drive has resulted in much quicker speeds and reliability of my aging MacBook Pro. The installation was fast and easy and I was impressed how great an improvement it was for a very reasonable cost.

A decent drive for what I paid.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this at Best Buy when it was on sale so for the price per gig it was a great deal. The build seems sturdy and it was easy to install. The performance is good for a triple cell SSD. It came with migration software, drive utilities and the latest flash version. For cons I'd say at it's price point you could get a 500GB SSD Samsung EVO for a little more than would perform better with extra space This SSD wouldn't perform a RAID 0 with my Sandisk Ultra II 480GB SSD when it should of. I couldn't load Windows 10 on it in a RAID 0. I guess it's best to have matching drives from the same manufacturer and the same storage capacity. I was however able to still install programs on it after it was formatted. A little tip for some people that may have a problem with this. Sometime you'll get a drive like this and a Windows install won't recognize it. It's best to make sure the drive is formatted before trying to put an OS on it. I ran into that problem before and after a format it was not an issue anymore.

Value for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several SSD drives already in laptops. As the prices for SSD drives come down, the PNY CS1311 480gb proves itself to be a great value for a fast, cost effective way for the home enthusiast to upgrade older laptops with newer technology.

Excellent Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible speed increase under Windows 10 for my Dell laptop. The only problem that I had was that the transfer software that they provided a license for did not work. I was able to use Micrum Reflect eval copy. Worked like a charm. Minor tweaks required after I did the transfer.

Great SSD for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous SSD in my laptop died unexpectedly and I needed a replacement quick. I pulled up the BestBuy website and found this one on sale (woohoo!), and it was in stock at my local store (double woohoo!). I was pleasantly surprised that it was double the capacity of my previous drive and about half the price. I'm on a Macbook and was trying to restore from a Time Machine backup, so it took some time and some Googling to get things moving, but that is specific to my configuration and no fault of the SSD. I was on my way and it's been smooth sailing ever since, and I'm really appreciating the extra storage space :)

Great Value SSD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed in an iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011), replacement for the original (now dead) hard drive. Recognized, formatted and installed El Capitan very smoothly. The only issues were Apple related (limited SSD support in older iMacs, cooling fans going full blast after the install) but a quick web search tells you how to fix them. Much faster than the original drive, and a higher end SSD would have offered negligible benefits due to a lack of hardware support in my machine. Great SSD for the price if you're replacing an older drive in older hardware, or if you've never had an SSD before.

Great bang:buck ratio, fast drive!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently bought a new PC and wanted to increase the size of the included SSD w a fast reliable drive. Soooo...I did my homework and this one came up as a winner again and again. Imaged the original drive, swapped in the new one, burned the image and off we go! It was just that simple and about as fast! This is fast enough to make whole-drive backups a reality [I'm the type that gets everything configured and burns a whole-drive image periodically vs an OS restore and then patching and patching and patching...no more!]. No brainer here....
