Very slow write for USB 3.0, but good read = value

I purchased four of these 32 GB drives to use as Restore Disks for Windows Backup for the PCs in my home as I wanted something large enough to not hit a capacity limit (Windows 10 asked for "at least 16 GB free") yet not with too much extra capacity that would be wasted. These fit the bill size-wise and price-wise, but the speed is not great. I immediately tested one and found that transferring a 3.97 GB file to the drive held a pretty poor transfer rate of barely 13 MB/second (once Windows caching is exceeded), so making the backup disks was going to be slow. I then copied three more copies of this ~ 4 GB file to the drive, removed the drive (to clear any caching by Windows) and re-installed it, and read back all 4 files (~ 16 GB) to my laptop's NVMe SSD, and the read rate held a consistent 115 MB/sec. A truly fast USB 3 flash drive should write closer to 80 MB/sec and read at 160 MB/sec or better. Just to check, I also wrote & read back this same set of files to an (older) 480 GB SSD I had placed in a USB 3.0 external enclosure, and they wrote at 180-240 MB/sec and read back at 320-370 MB/sec, so it definitely wasn't my laptop SSD that was causing the performance issues.
I definitely would NOT recommend these for people needing to transfer large files around on a regular basis, but for my use (where I'm much more concerned about read performance than write performance), these are more than acceptable, and the price was very reasonable.

For a 32GB flash drive, the speed rate is good, it works great and has no problems being recognized by the devices I've been using it with.

PNY's Elite Turbo Attache 4 32GB USB 3.2 Flash Drive is a solid performer in the portable storage space. It's sleek and compact, with a gray finish that gives it a professional look. The slide-out design helps protect the connector when not in use, which is a neat touch.
One of the major advantages of this flash drive is its use of USB 3.2 technology. With faster read and write speeds compared to USB 2.0 drives, it's great for quickly transferring or backing up files.
However, at 32GB, it might be a bit limited if you're planning on storing larger files like HD movies or extensive software. But for documents, photos, and general use, it does the job nicely.
All in all, the PNY Elite Turbo Attache 4 is a dependable option for those who need quick, portable storage on the go. It might not be the largest capacity on the market, but it makes up for it with its speed and reliability.

This review is for the PNY 32GB/Go Turbo USB 3.0, which is not identical to the one depicted in the picture sent to me for review (mine does not have the thumb indentation to help slide the port area cover--a better design). Price was around $16 which I considered great for a 3.0 at this time. It is the right size for my hands and for my purpose. My gig does not have 3.0 ports but I could swear the transfer speed was faster than with a regular 2.0 flash drive. I am removing one star because the US only gets one year warranty while Europe gets 2.

The agent recommended the PNY Elite Turbo Attache 4 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive when he backed up my files which I really thought were forever lost. I very much like the fact that I can refer to the data when needed. Also like that it's small enough to carry on-the-go.

This FlashDrive is a great tiny little guy that you can push in to make it smaller and pull to reveal the insertion pin. I think it looks sleek and classy. It looks better than most flash drives out there. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Got a few to share some of my photos. I was very happy how fast the pictures loaded onto the drive. Turbo and 3.0 must be the secret. The 2.0 drives I had hanging around seem to take forever to load.
The price was also great and I am very happy with my purchase.

I added this thumb drive to have a decent size with USB3 speed. It is noticeably faster than my older USB drives. As far as I can tell it will ultimately hold what is says and deliver files at a higher speed than I previously had. And it works on my older computer that does not have a USB3 port. Transferring data has been smooth.

Purchase this because it was at a good price. Didn't think there would be much difference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 but WOW, i noticed the difference. Only fault i found on it is that it's kind of hard to push out the connector when it's concealed. Other than that, it works like it's suppose to and have had no problems so far.
