    I have purchased two of these. One which serves as a read only boot drive for an ubuntu server and is still working fine. The other gets slower and generates more errors as I try to use it as read/write to move very large files. It didn't really work for this very well even from the start, very slow from the start and lots of errors. After a week of this type of use (daily read write, re format read write etc) it is pretty much toast.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
