This one is slow for a "fast USB 3" drive. I got a really low price but... still too slow for the price.

I purchased this as it was a great price and had great reviews. However, the drive failed after first use. Copied a large file and the next time drive used would not mount and could not be recognized. Returned in first 2 weeks. Tried in several computers and various USB ports, but drive would not work. Returned and replaced with a Sandisk.

Locks up, I think I got a dud

I must have gotten a dud. It can't transfer 32gb at one time without locking up. I first tried running Linux Mint from the drive and it was horrible for this purpose. The system would lock up just trying to run simple updates. I got 130MB read and 40 MB write which I would have been okay with it it didn't lock up. For contrast, I've used usb 2.0 drives with Linux and they ran faster than this and didn't experience system hangs.
