If you dont care about RGB and want pure POWER!

I went from an MSI 1060 6gb gaming X to this card.. And while this card feels cheap.. Its actually not. It has almost the same heat sink as the gaming X, and also has two fans as quiet as the Gaming X.
Temps were averaging 32c while idle.
XLR8 is PNY version of "Gaming X"
Also ANY gaming cards temps can reach up to 95c depending on the workload, so adjust the fan speeds accordingly!
This card has no RGB lighting, no back plate(sold cheap on ebay).
It fits well on my build since I hate RGB and only care about power!

Solid Budget GTX 1070

I purchased this PNY GTX 1070 from Best Buy after weighing options for an upgrade to replace a failing AMD 290x that served four years of gaming. I decided on the PNY 1070 from Best Buy as it was a lower cost ($429.99 at time of review) GTX 1070 during the bitcoin and ether bubble of raised GPU prices for mining. I'm satisfied with the card, it's not too loud and has not reached temps over 69* MAX during long hours of gaming in games such as GTA V and Player Unknown Battlegrounds. I saw a vast improvement in overall visual quality as well as FPS in these games. I would recommend the card for an above average gamer playing in 1080p graphics.

I used to be a 'gamer' in the 1990s but at some point the 3-d based games started to give me motion sickness. As a result, I've stayed away from the latest and greatest 3-D graphics cards for a number of years (decades?). Well, perhaps either I am over my motion sickness, or maybe the technology has improved to where the effect just doesn't happen as easy. Since I got this card, I've been playing a couple of 3-D based games (Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, and started a little on The Singulairty) and am enjoying the games without the nausea effect. I also have several 3-D based rendering tools (both pre-written software, and I'd like to develop some of my own 3-D software or contribute to existing) where I think this card will come in handy. I'm moving from a GeForce 710 to the PNY GeForce 1070 and the difference in visuals and performance is HUGE, visuals are smoother and more natural looking. Some of the computer animation of characters looks almost "real" (not that real, but as if it were there). I have an old 3-d monitor (dual-link DVI?) which i have yet to try with this, but i suspect it will work with that when i get around to setting that up. Right now i have it working on a 4k Samsung Smart TV (as monitor, hdmi) and a Dell 2550x1440 display. I am again not a regular gamer, but I am going to start doing more gaming if it turns out I can mix that in more without the discomfort i was getting.

I am a miner and a gamer. I got this card to mine I don't feel slightly guilty "stealing" this one from the gamers...
The bad:
In my 15 years of buying video cards this is probably the cheapest, chinchy, card I have ever owned. Plastic housing, cheap fans, cheap light weight heat sink on the card. Looks cheap, feels cheap.
The Good:
It is cheap. With my Reward Zone points this was actually the cheapest 1070 I could find even online. I actually game on 1080 but I have no doubt this card would stand up as well as any 1070. As for mining I was at 34mh on ETH in like 10mins of playing with it. Micron memory runs stable at a 950 mem over clock.
Conclusion:
You want a cheap 1070 to game in a windowless case or a solid mining card. This might be for you. Want a sweet RGB covered high end looking 1070 you might want to pass on this.

I have a GTX Titan on one of my other systems and wanted to get it updated to something new. The card was receiving good reviews so i bought it. The card itself feels cheaply made, it has a bit more performance gains over the GTX Titan but was running a bit hot. Even though it wasnt a reference cooler style card, it got to about 75C running Mass Effect Andromeda. So I returned the card. I wouldnt advise on purchasing this card. Spend a bit more and purchase the EVGA GTX cards.
