Having always been a big fan of the first movie I expected either a good remake or a bad imposter. I really thought they did an excellent job on action sequences but the story was pretty much predictable. Still worth watching.

If any of you are thinking that this is going to be like the original Point Break you're mistaken they're taking it up a notch with a whole different perspective and I liked it a lot and I love sports so I would recommend it

I was fairly surprised by this remake. Love the scenery and the real action scenes. Finally took the gamble on buying this movie while on sale and watched it for 1st time in 6/17. Pretty happy with the purchase.

Say what you want about this movie, but it was a good take on the original film. The stunts alone were top tier, and practical. Even better in 4k

I bought this just to see the stunts, and they alone make the purchase worth it for me. Amazing stunts to watch, even if the movie is not that great. No, its not as good as a story as the original, but I didn't care.

I'm a fan of the original Keanu Reeves/Patrick Swayze Point Break. They re-used some character names, the premise of an undercover FBI agent getting into a group of extreme sports enthusiast criminals, and the lead criminal following a monster wave as the last stop in his quest. That's about it. Beyond that, the story is quite different, as is the drive behind Bodie's quest . If you're merely looking for a modernized version of original, you may be disappointed. If you want a true re-imagining of an old action movie, this one may satisfy. I still prefer the original, and that is the reason I wouldn't recommend it.

While the original is better, I do appreciate the new take on this movie. While the story line is similar, it has more of the extreme sports/events that are contemporary. As far as action movies go, I would recommend.

This was a great flick to watch in 3D! It was a virtual smorgasbord of giant wave surfing, parachute dives that will rock your world, and flying in personal wing suits (what is that called anyway?) I watched it twice!

Fun Xtreme sports movie wish they had some of the actors from the original movie you can see a big difference between the actors of the first movie and this one

I admit I am a big fan of the original Point Break withy Patrick Sawyze and Keanu Reeves, so my expectations for the remake were low. But the story was good and the scenery was spectacular. A good watch!

In most cases the remake does not come up to par with the original. In this case though, it is pretty good representation of the great original. Excellent action, a bit more dramatic. Overall very entertaining.

I can watch this movie just about every day. It's exciting and has a good story. I would not compare this movie to the original one. I watch this movie as a whole new movie without comparing. The stunts are awesome, and the music goes good with all of the scenes. Yes there are just a couple of cheesy parts, but not so bad that I don't like this movie. The actors are all on point and know what they're doing. This is a movie that you don't really even need to listen to the words to understand it. It's visually awesome.

Good modern adaptation of the original film. Not a carbon copy or anything like that, but a new movie built of the concept of the previous film. Enjoyable movie, definitely recommend watching it.

This was a good movie. The plot was the same as the first one for the most part. But all concidered it was a good movie. Lots of action and not a lot of killing. I would have friends watch it

Point Break gets rebooted from the original 1990 movie. Overall, the remake doesn't surpass the original movie, but the action/stunts are even move intense than the original. A must-see movie!

Everything these days are a remake. We don't seem to have any original ideas to bring to the bring screen. Does keep your attention. I would recommend to a friend. My spouse really enjoyed it.

The movie is decent, but really lacked the heart of the first movie. The new actors seem to move the story along without any true motivation. The 3D is excellent.

While not as good as the original, they did a nice job transitioning this version to today's world. Often remakes stay the same but aren't able to connect with the audience this re do connects

This is a well done remake with some great new stunts and lots of action. The actors did a great job in their roles. 3D effects were fun to watch and helped draw you in to the scenes.

I bought this movie for the advent of possibly good 3d effects. This movie didn't compare to the first movie. Yes, the visuals were good but the wring and production lacked continuity.
