I'm not sure what I was expecting going into this game. I don't think I would have gotten it if they hadn't put so much more stuff into it than X&Y. The nostalgia factor is pretty high, and seeing all the changes in detail and graphics is pretty rewarding. As for new players, there is the dreaded "too much water." Normally, I don't think that's a problem for most people. But for IGN and myself, someone who has an irrational fear of oceans and seas and lakes and most deep bodies of water, it's pretty frustrating when I feel the need to race as fast as possible out of the water routes. Thankfully, there's enough stuff to keep it exciting, like secret bases and an interesting storyline that's been updated for the new graphics. As well as extra missions chock full of legendaries.

Played this game as a kid. Awesome like before! Very nostalgic

Obviously, it's extremely similar to Alpha Sapphire, but it still works for hours of Pokemon gameplay, which is always a fun time! :)

If you loved the first release, this one is super better with more graphics and content!

Pokemon Omega Ruby has gotten me back into Pokemon! I was obsessed with this game for a solid week of playtime. Can't wait to play more titles in the series that I've missed.

I new Pokemon as a kid (pogs) now there are ao many character. My son knows everyone their power and what they evolve to so this game feeds that interest.

I've been a Pokemon fan since I was in elementary school. Just seeing how far they've came as far as gameplay, graphics, and all the interaction you can do is simply amazing.

Excellent game, my son has played it for many hours. While at seven years old, the game can challenge him, he hasn't given up (guide book helps). Lots of replay value too.

I ordered this game for my son. He loves the game. The best part is that it arrived just before Christmas in only 2 days in an unmarked envelope so he didn't know what it was.

This game is basically an HD remake of Pokemon Ruby. It does not have the same features as X + Y such as character customization, but does bring back contests + secret bases.
