A great game. Easy to learn and the graphics are great. Would recommend for anyone wanting to play the ds style games but has a switch.

For anybody who played the original pokemon blue and/or red on the Gameboy, you'll love this game. It's basically the same game with the updated graphics and some other new things like pokemon, characters, items, etc. I love it, my kids love it, and it can even be played with 2 players at once so we can enjoy the fun together. I recommend also getting the pokeball plus as a compliment ot this game, it just makes it more fun to have the pokeball controller and the colors/sounds it makes.

This is a pretty simple game that keeps the difficulty down so people unfamiliar with the series can dive in and have fun. It is relaxing to run around and catch pokemon and their are plenty of trainers in the game to battle with. Overall, an easy relaxing game.

After losing my physical copy of let’s go pikachu I missed it so I purchased the digital version of eevee so I can start a new play though. Can’t get enough of this game! Pays perfect homage to Pokémon red/blue I got on Christmas morning when I was 5 years old!

Brings back Pokémon go nostalgia, great time and super fun, a easy game to chill out to.

My son is over the moon about this game. It was a little difficult for him on the first day, but now he’s playing like a pro. I love that the levels are difficult because he will be able to play this for months before beating the game. There’s nothing worse than a game the kids love, but are able to beat every level the first week of playing. I will likely get him the poke ball so he can use it playing this game and playing on my phone. At bestbuy I even got a beautiful silver case for the game with eevee and pikachu on it.

The game is over all good with it's graphics and story. However, it's not like the traditional Pokemon versions I have played since day one. It's a mixture of both Pokemon yellow and Pokemon go. And that's not bad at all; it's just not that great for me.

This game is a way for any new players to get into Pokémon. It’s not very hardcore and better suited for casual players. But it is a great experience nonetheless. The motion controls are a little buggy and delayed. It is still a fun game.

Guys, please do some research before buying this game. It's more of a casual game that's meant to catch pokemon, especially shiny types. You don't really battle other pokemon or trainers like sword and shield, but you do, do some battles. This game is not meant for everyone. But, if you enjoy catching pokemon and want to hunt for shiniest, give this game a shot.

I had my doubts about this game, because going into it, I knew it wasn’t going to keep a lot of the same aspects of a typical Pokémon game. It will feel very different from what day-one Pokemon gamers are used to because of the catching and training mechanism, but it’s similar enough that you will still grow attached to your team, if you actually take the time to build it. That said, there are no caps/limits to your Pokemon’s stats, so you can get away with having oddball picks—I beat the game with a Farfetch’d! Kanto looks beautiful on the Switch’s graphics capabilities and this made me that much more excited for what’s to come for the next generation of Pokémon games. I am only giving it 4 stars because your Pokémon’s moves are very very limited in comparison to classic Pokémon games as of late and abilities don’t exist.

This is a nicely done, and graphically updated version of Pokemon Yellow. My 6 year old already has 2 gym badges and can't even read what is going on in the game... lol. I was afraid it would be too complex for her, but she's having fun, especially playing and interacting with Eevee. I personally rushed to get to the GO Park to be able to trade with the Pokemon Go app, and it didn't take too long, did it in a weekend. Now I'm going back to the beginning to take my time and hunt for shiny pokemon.

My 7 year-old son and I bought this to play together. He has watched the show but never played the games. We are loving the easy transition and introduction to the Pokémon world.
The only negative is that it is a really easy game so far.

Received/Purchased this as a Christmas Gift. I've gotten several play-hours out of the game so far and I've only gotten through 4 of the 8 Gyms.
Purchased the Digital Download Code version and the Code was printed to my Receipt as well as directly e-mailed to me in-case I'd lost the Receipt. The email was already waiting for me at home!
Loved the game and the speed of which the code was sent, we went back to the store the next day to get 2 more game game-codes for the Nintendo Switch!

I admit that this is my first experience playing a Pokemon video game, I did not play any of the Game Boy or DS games. As a casual Pokemon player I enjoyed playing this game. Its a relaxing experience and I would recommend this for any one who is looking for something that can be easily picked up. The game play loop is simple, you throw your Poke balls to catch Pokemon. Caught Pokemon are added to your team, your team also gains experience for leveling up each time Pokemon are caught.
