I've played every single main story pokemon game since the originals. This is a very fun remake of Pokemon Yellow. Instead of fighting wild pokemon you grind by catching them and can make combos to get better ivs and higher chances of shinies. The difficulty is the same as other core pokemon games. It's a lot of fun and I recommend it to returning fans and newcomers alike. It took me about 30 hours to fully beat the story and about 40-45 to get the complete dex.

I bought Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu for myself and fell in love with the game despite my mediocre expectations. Just bought this for my son, and despite it being almost identical to the Pikachu version, we each have our own game and are now able to trade with each other. The Poké Ball Plus is also a nice touch. You really get used to throwing it to capture Pokémon and it feels much better in motion than using a joy-con, and the included Mew is an extra bonus :-)

It's cute... I grew up playing Pokemon yellow. So I was very excited about this fresh spin on one of my favorite games. Well.... It didn't really work out for me. The focus on playing dress up, lack of difficulty and lack of safari zone killed it for me. It's even too easy for my little nephews but I think it would be good for kids that prefer easy, casual games. It's very cute and I love the poke ball but it's not something that I'd completely play through again. My backlog is way too big for me to play something that I don't love again. With that being said, I'm happy to have it in my collection.

I've owned the game for a week now and I am very happy I bought it. Not only is it positively crammed full of charm, but it's absolutely wonderful to be able to have a second player jump in and out to play alongside you. I 100% recommend getting the Pokeball Plus. It's easy to learn to use and it just helps immerse you into the game. Wether you're a big kid at heart (like me) or have kids that want to play it (also like me) this is a must buy for the Switch.

The game is a wonderful upgraded remake of Pokemon Yellow, with the obvious difference in starter Pokemon. The Pokeball Plus accessory is adorable, though might not be great for people with larger hands. The packaging for this edition does a very nice job of protecting the contents without taking up unnecessary space. Also, based on the MSRP of the game and accessory if bought separately, this bundle saves you ten dollars, which is pretty nice.

Been a Pokemon fan since day one, still have my gameboy color with Blue Version. I purchased this game to introduce my son to Pokemon and it has been awesome! The fact that 2 players is now available makes it so cool, of course we all have our ideas to inprove and make the game better, but lets be real, if you are a true Pokemon Fan, this game is a hit! I sometimes play by myself when he is asleep, reminds me of the old days lol. Really recommend it.

while very easy to complete, game pulls on all nostalgia strings and reminds older players fond memories of the original pokemon games. Game also acts as a great introduction to pokemon for new players.

This is a great game, but the controls have some quirks that can take some getting use to. Also pokemon Go is a helpful connection. Pokeball makes it easier to catch but can be hard to maneuver. The joy con is pretty simple but harder to throw pokeballs. handheld mode is great, and about the best compromise for moving and catching pokemon. Love the pokemon go connection so it makes it easy to fill your pokedex quickly.

This game is essentially a remake of Pokemon Yellow. The map and story are the same, but with updated graphics. The difficulty has been turned down a lot, perhaps to encourage newcomers to the series.

Pokemon Let's Go Eevee is a wonderful, nostalgic trip back to the beloved Kanto region, but with new mechanics, and beautiful graphics. Now, the name of the game really is to catch 'em all, to be the best like noone ever was. The PokeBall Plus is one more way to increase the immertion, so you really feel like you're a real Pokemon trainer, something the old Gameboy couldn't do.

    Classic Kanto Revisited

A huge nostalgia-fest. Once you get around the fact that many features of core pokemon games is absent, you can have a total blast reliving the adventure through Kanto. My only complaint is the lack of pro controller support and the requirement to use a single joycon for TV mode. The Pokeball accessory is also very fun, but somewhat difficult to use since it is round and can get slightly displaced in your hand.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! are great Pokémon games for both longtime fans and those that have been away from the series. In many ways it’s simplified, but it still has the same traditional trainer battles, and deep end game that series veterans love. I’m happy there are no random battles, seeing the Pokémon run around is a welcome change that makes the world feel much more alive.

Overall fun and full of nostalgia revisiting the original classic, reimagined for today. The Pokemon Go style capture mechanic gets a bit old fast, but is well suited for younger players and couch coop fun. Don't expect a challenging RPG like the main series. The controller is gimmicky, but likely to make younger players feel more immersed in the experience (and of course likely to appeal to collectors).

My friends and I are all avid Pokemon GO players (a game that for us 30-somethings, has reintroduced us to a childhood passion) and were eager for the release of this game, the first Pokemon title on the Switch and a game you can sync with Pokemon GO to transfer Pokemon from the mobile game to the Switch game. It is a remake of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, the original Pokemon games released for the Game Boy in the mid 90s but there are some tweaks to the story and gameplay that overall give it a fresh experience, albeit one leaving you wanting more. The Good: -Instead of random encounters, Pokemon spawn in active gameplay and you can choose to encounter them or not (My fave feature) -Catching Pokemon has been revamped for switch controls and is somewhat similar to Pokemon GO now. I actually like this change. You can use the switch in handheld mode and move the device into position to catch or use the optional Pokeball Plus or Joy-cons and use a throwing motion. Either mode works well although the catch rates seem to be hit or miss -The Pokeball Plus is a nice accessory if you play GO as well as this. You can use it in GO to assist in catching Pokemon and auto-spin stops, and in addition to storing a Pokemon from Let's Go for additional experience The Bad: -Making Mew only available with the purchase of an accessory. I almost didn't buy this game on principle because of that. -This game is a watered down version of the mainline Pokemon series. No battling wild pokemon, no held items or ablitites, no breeding, and no global trading or battling. -You can't use the pro controller for this game -You can only use one joy-con if not in handheld mode -New Pokemon Meltan cannot be evolved in Let's Go, only in Pokemon GO despite being usable in Let's Go If you're a hardcore Pokemon fan who's played every game up to this point you've probably already decided not to get this game and I wouldn't recommend it for you due to this being a stripped down game. If you're new to Pokemon and/or someone who's only played Pokemon GO it's not a bad game. Despite being a watered down game it was fun to play but it doesn't seem to have a ton of replay value unless you have a group of dedicated players you can play with locally.
