Customers are saying
Customers find value in the engaging gameplay and nostalgic elements of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, particularly enjoying the innovative Poké Ball Plus controller. Many appreciate the game's ease of use and consider it fun for players of all ages, although some find the price point a bit high and the Poké Ball Plus somewhat small. The simplified catching mechanics are a point of contention for some, while others wish for a more challenging experience. Overall, the game is praised for its charming remake of a classic, but opinions vary on certain aspects of the design and price.

Nostalgia for any Red/Blue/Yellow Player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fun throw back to the OG Pokemon Games. Love the updates as a whole. Game starts off a little too easy and stays there for the first couple gyms before the difficulty ramps up a bit. Outside of that I feel like it is 1999 again playing it.

Better than anticipated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Knowing this is a remake of the Original Yellow version, this has enough change to make the experience a lot of fun! The Pokeball plus is alright. Pretty small but I have smaller hands so it is fine for me. Very happy with this game.

The game's familiar, but dat pokeball doe...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is a pokemon game. It's great for people who played yellow, blue, and red WAY BACK WHEN, wanted to experience it again, but only have 10-20 minutes a day to really pick it up. Throwing a friend in a pokeball and walking around is surprisingly fun, and helpful in both this game AND Pokemon Go. As a working adult, most of my peers either don't care that I have a pokeball hanging from a belt loop throughout the day, or, they also have one and want to talk about it. So, if you think you'd look like a dork walking around with this, just remember: it's 2019 and most folks in the sub-50 crowd don't actually care or stigmatize games/gaming/gamers like they used to back when the original games came out, or even when HeartGold and its pokewalker came out... but man, was that a sweet accessory...

Love the Poké ball!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played this game at a friends house without the Poké ball and I enjoyed it very much. For my birthday I got this bundle and had a blast playing the game with the Poké ball. I highly recommend shelling out extra for the bundle.

Great Game, Not So Great Gimmick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is based on the video game, specifically. It’s amazing and great for newcomers as well as returning Kanto fans. However the pokeball device isn’t worth it, especially at its price tag. Skip the ball, just get the game.

Sweet nostalgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's basically how you remember it from your child hood. The biggest difference is you no longer have to grind battles and now can level up by just catching Pokemon. The pokeball is not necessary but it is an awesome addition.

Poke Ball with Game = Slam Dunk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up for my son and now I am playing it and LOVE it. Really, the Poke Ball adds a whole new dimension to the game play. With the graphics and the Poke Ball you feel like you are in the game. It adds a fun twist on catching different Pokemon and you can transfer them to the ball and take them for a walk. With the ability to have to players it's been fun for my son and I to battle others in the game together. One of us can use the Poke Ball and the other the Joy-Con controller to take on other trainers. After about a week my son has beat the game and has transferred Pokemon from the Pokemon Go app. Together , this bundle is a great deal! Now, I am going to keep playing :-). If you like Pokemon you will love playing this new game.

Best played with the Pokeball
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice chill game, best enjoyed with the Pokeball controller in my opinion. What better way to capture Pokemon than with an actual ball? The controller is simplistic and doesn't have many buttons, but it beats playing with the joy-con. If you like the Pokemon series, this is a nice relaxing game which looks beautiful. It's not very challenging, so it's also kid friendly.

Fun Game for New and Old Fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this game is basically a remake of Pokemon Yellow, which will appeal to long time fans, but keep in mind that this game does have some really annoying things that you have to deal with all the time. Motion controls.... I'm sorry. I hate this so much. It works from time to time, but it also tends to fail pretty annoyingly. Not to mention that it's tiring to deal with from time to time. Story: It's pokemon yellow, but you do have some people from the first generation come out once in a while. So it's 90% pokemon yellow and then a few changes such as the addition of Alolan pokemon as well as the nature additions. Otherwise, the plot is roughly going to be the same. So feel free to join that. They do remove pokemon catching battles and just relegate it to the pokemon go system of catching. However, other than that, battles were plentiful and I think I'm still satisfied in the end. Now the accessory is a nice addition to only let you get mew (>.>) but you can also integrate it with pokemon go. though the controller is really cramped unless you have small hands. So keep that in mind. Overall, the bundle with a controller and the game is ok for the full pricing, but I'd recommend avoiding the accessory if you don't really care much about mew and stick to using the joycons. Your hand will thank you.

Amazing game for all players
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is really fun and easygoing. It’s perfect for any gamer, and is a great gift. The controller included was great for me because i had recently broken my arm, and it was hard for me to play video games.

Interesting combination of two separate games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an interesting way to combine two very different versions of the Pokemon games. It's a blend of the Red/Blue/Yellow versions with a sprinkling of Sun and Moon version styles (IE no longer having HMs or sticking party pokemon with those moves) and combine all that with a healthy serving of Pokemon Go. I was a little put off by the inability to battle pokemon to capture them, and the fact that the rarer ones can run very easily. It's definitely mimicking Pokemon Go in that aspect. As you play and learn the mechanics, it's really not completely horrible and ends up growing on you. Much like Pokemon Go itself. The ability to actually throw the pokeball is pretty cool and is much more fun when using the PokeBall Plus. Not having to keep a pokemon in your party that's the designated HM bearer is really nice. That's an aspect from the Sun and Moon series that I enjoyed, and it's nice to see the tradition continued. The gameplay is pretty solid, however the PokeBall plus controls can be a little confusing and cumbersome. Sometimes the ball with shift in your grip and then you'll move in the wrong direction. I prefer playing in handheld mode personally. All in all, still a fun game. It's extremely easy to pick up and run with even if you've never touched a single game in the series.

Nostalgia is king, and this isn't a bad thing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The products are a celebration to Nostalgia, and an easy entry point for the Adults with kids that played this when they were kids (it's been that long) to easily introduce the original story with them. Especially since it lets an experienced user drive and have a younger player actually help capture and battle! (Instead of just "pretending to" as I'm sure some of us did with your younger siblings. Specifically NOT made for the competitive scene nor for anything else outside this intro to Pokemon. This was fantastically executed. I very much welcomed the changes made to the original grindy formula, and hope that Nintendo and the Pokemon Co. learn loads from this game and continue innovating with this franchise.

Fun, entry level Pokemon game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 5 year old is a huge pokemon fan so we were excited to get this for him on Christmas. He has really enjoy the game so far. My only reason for a less than perfect review is that the PokeBall controller is a really cute, neat idea but it is pretty difficult to play with. Its not horrible but I (and my son) much prefer using a single joycon.

Nostalgia overload!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game knowing it isnt a regular pokemon rpg which is coming out next year. This game is fun to play with the pokeball plus though i wish it had more buttons for inputs. While playing this game the locations gave me nostaglia overload of pokemon blue game...wow! so its a mix of pokemon go the mobile game for catching pokemon with pokeballs and also the regular pokemon rpgs with all the trainer battles “i love wearing shorts lets battle!” lol! this game is simply fun to play and next year we’ll get the real deal pokemon game so if ur a fan who wants to have fun this is a must have and for me the pokemon ball plus feels great and makes the experience enjoyable but not necessary

One of the best games on Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had so much fun with this game. Amazing what they did in this remake to make it so appealing. Addictive in a good way and a ton of good clean Nintendo fun. I’m 40 hours in and still not stopping!

A great revisit to the series' origins
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee aren't exactly the same as mainline Pokemon titles; random battles are gone, and instead you can see Pokemon wandering about the map, sniffing flowers and moving through the tall grass. You play the Pokemon Go catching mini game instead of actually battling wild Pokemon, which is a your mileage may vary moment, as some dislike it, but I find it somewhat refreshing. You still battle trainers you come across, and now you can play in co-op as well. The Pokeball controller is... okay. Clicking the A button requires pushing the stick which isn't exactly that fluid of an action but maybe I'll get used to it. The Mew is nice though I guess.

Fun casual nostalgia
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're in the mood for a pokemon go style version of Pokemon yellow, then this is for you. The pokeball controller is adorable, but not practical outside of this game.

Still a fun Pokemon game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a longtime Pokemon fan, I've been following this game since first announced and as more information came out, the more skeptical I became. No more wild battles, capturing mechanics like the Pokemon Go mobile game, and gym requirements?! Of course, desperate for a new Pokemon fix, I went ahead and splurged on this bundle anyway and I actually don't regret it at all. I feel the game is mostly targeted at younger children and fans whose only experience with Pokemon is the Go app (a more traditional Pokemon game is coming 2019). In this regard, I think it's a great intro to newer players, but the nostalgia still hit me hard. You can see wild Pokemon walking around the region with you, making the world feel more alive. It's still a bit repetitive, but it's Pokemon. If you feel it's too easy, just box your starter and you're good to go! The Pokeball controller does feel a bit gimmicky and inaccurate (maybe I'm not flicking my wrist right?), but it's still pretty cool to be able to play the game one-handed. Just wish the game supported the pro controller, perhaps in a later patch! Overall, loving this purchase.
