This has nothing to do with Best Buy, But the game itself. Pokémon Scarlet Violet is an amazing game with lots of features. It does have its issues. Sometimes there are glitches or lags that mess up with the quality of the game, but if you can overlook that you can truly have an enjoyable time. As for Best Buy, the package was delivered safely, with no damage to the product.

Fantastic game, but not properly optimized for the Nintendo Switch. Framerate is poor, and Pokemon, buildings, environment, etc will come into view RIGHT before youre about to run into them when riding on your Koraidon. The gameplay itself is quite fun and there is a ton to do compared to previous Pokemon games. If the graphical issues get fixed this is easily a 5-star game, but if you struggle with motion sickness the frame rate may be difficult for you.

The classic Pokemon style is solid, but this changes the game. The open-world is a really fun experience. Sure, it isn’t nearly as in-depth and immersive as most RPGs out there, but it is a huge leap for the Pokemon series. There are spotty frame rate drops but not bad enough to consider frustrating. If you are a Pokemon fan this is a must play.

Pokémon Scarlet delivers an exciting new adventure with captivating graphics and diverse Pokémon encounters. The dynamic battles and expanded regions offer fresh challenges, while the storyline keeps players engaged. However, occasional performance hiccups slightly mar the experience. Overall, a thrilling addition to the Pokémon series that fans will enjoy.

If you like to explore and collect pokemon this game is fantastic. The world is fun to roam around and the new pokemon designs are great, I've really enjoyed my time with the game.
However the performance is really lacking. Frame rates drop regularly, and especially the box is a slow experience. It's the first time i've really felt the performance hinders the game, and if it just ran smoothly it would really shine.

It honestly is a pretty fun game that takes a lot of the leaps forward that arceus had and brought them to the main series, like mass outbreaks and sneaking up on pokemon. But its REALLY bad performance. Dropping frames is not very rare, and pokemon unload pretty much more than like 20ft from you. Other than the glaring performance issues that hopefully will be fixed via an update, it is a actually pretty fun game.

Are there bugs? Yes. Am I having fun? Also yes. It’s certainly not as polished as it could’ve been, but I’m enjoying the game so far as a longtime Pokémon fan. I like that I can adventure around the map with my partner.

First fully open world pokemon game is as advertised. The issues i have with the game im not sure if its the engine used to create it or the system its being played on. You will be running through an area when things magically pop up on your character triggering battles you didnt even know about. Maybe some updates will help it in the future but i dont know for sure.

I find this game incredibly fun, i cant put it down. However the performance is inexcusable in its current state. This is the largest grossing media franchise ever, and they certainly have the capital to better optimize their flagship game. I’m hopeful patches are in the works because this game will be one of my all time favorites if they can fix the performance

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet show that Game Freak is truly trying to grow and evolve the Pokemon Formula. Learning from the baby steps that Sword and Shield’s Wild Area and DLC, as well as 2022’s Pokemon Legends Arceus, show that Open World Pokemon has a formula that can work. That means you can tackle any of the games challenges in any order that you desire. Combine this with a solid story, great Pokemon designs, and you get an incredibly fun and solid game…. until the performance issues arise. From low frame rate to stuttering to issues with Pokémon models, this game easily needed upwards of an extra year to sort out performance issues. With that in mind, if you like Pokémon, you’ll find something to like in Scarlet and Violet, unless the performance issues overwhelm you first.

All of the articles and reviews pointing out the technical problems with this game are accurate. There are lots of graphical glitches; frame rate drops, pop-in, clipping. The environments just look bad at times, especially while your character is moving.
However, the core gameplay is strong enough to warrant my 4-star review. You are given unprecedented freedom in this Pokemon game. You can tackle gyms/bad guys/titans in whatever order you desire. The open world seems to be based on Spain, and it is full of nooks and crannies to explore and pokemon to catch. The new gym challenges mix up the formula for challenging gyms.
This is the way that pokemon games should be going forward, only with superior hardware and graphics under the hood.

As others have mentioned its a good game with many places to explore but has many glitches. Although the fact you can't challenge the Elite four more than once was rather disappointing as that has always been a staple format for Pokémon but still good.

Yes there is performance bugs. But beyond that this is a really fun game. The ability to have your own unique adventure, doing various storylines, and just explore and find new pokemon around each corner is so fun. I was guilty of just running around the region, and just seeing whet there was to offer before I progressed the game further.

Great game overall. Love the concept of open world travel in that world. The capturing is more normal than Arceus, even if a little more difficult. Few glitches noted throughout with getting trapped under water being the worst.

The game crashes every time I play. I’m not someone who usually cares about graphics but this game runs poorly. It can barely keep up frames. That aside, I do enjoy how easy the game is and the story. Easy pickup but unacceptable for $60

I’m very impressed with this game. As a player of the old classic Pokémon games, this one really sticks out in a good way. I love the different adventures and the open world! This is the best Pokémon game yet!
