Excellent sound quality of sound for the price. I turned my amp up full blast and the speakers delivered as if the band was on a stage and i was on front row. The sounds are crisp sharp amd mellow from Treble-Mid Range-to Base. Plus the speakers cases look great blended in with other sound equipment. If you purchase...you will enjoy!

I went into Best Buy looking o pick up a pair of Polks signature S55 Towers. They only had one one hand, than the sale guy which by the way was very helpful. We looked up the S50 and S60 was a no go. I was disappointed needless to say, but he did gave a pair of the S15 bookshelf's so I pick those up to hold me up till I can get my hands on a pair of towers. I'm very impressed with the S15 bookshelf's! They will get loud, this is a very well balanced bookshelf speaker. Clean, a very detailed sounding speaker. The on axis is very nice with a wide sound stage! Smooth top end not fatigued sounding at all. I've had Polks upper end LSi's the whole line in the past and I have to say the signature series are a very nice addition the Polk family. Paired with my sub in a 5.1 set with my Yamaha TSR- 7790 I highly recommend this line of Polk speaker's. The sale guy at Best Buy was courteous and very helpful. I picked up these lil bad boys on sale to boot!

These speakers were purchased to replace a pair of JBL bookshelf speakers and these Polk speakers are a definite improvement. Solid construction with handsome finish. The highs are clear and crisp. The lows are sharp and distinct. Overall sound is very good for a bookshelf speaker.

Superb sounding speaker. I currently use them as surrounds, but I do use them as mains when I change speaker setting to stereo. They are excellent sounding speaker and work great with all the other Polk Signature Series speaker that I have. They are such a good value for your money.

I was looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers to go with my restored Marantz 2270 receiver. Polk is a name I was familiar with so I researched the speaker line and decided on the S15 speakers. The quality of this speaker is what you would expect from Polk audio. The clarity of sound is excellent, bass response better than I had expected from a small speaker system. Imaging is excellent. A nice pair of speakers for my use, and I would suggest these could be used in a surround sound system if you have one.

For some background, I'm coming off a pair of Pioneer Sp-BS-22LR's bookshelf speakers. These speakers sound significantly better than the Pioneers in my opinion. I would say they have a slight v shaped sound signature, but nothing overpowering. The treble, especially near field, touches on being bright, but this is usually only in lower quality tracks and isn't an issue at "normal" listening distances. That brings up my next point in that these speakers are very revealing. You can tell straight away weather a track is of high or low quality due to some harshness and just the overall loss of definition. It's not that they sound bad with lower quality material, they just sound cleaner and more impressive when playing higher quality content. The cabinets are high quality and come with above average wraps. The power port seems to work well, but the interior of the port is cardboard. This is the only sign of cost cutting I could see on these speakers, everything else seems class leading. They do seem to play down to that 50hz mark, but it's not without a little roll off. They hit much lower than the Pioneers did, but I'd say a sub is still recommended. Overall, they seem to be worth it, especially at or below two hundred dollars.

Great speakers for our 12x12 room. Nice clear vocals with enough bass to satisfy, a well balanced speaker. You will need a sub if you want to rattle the walls though. Placed order on line and they were ready in an hour. Thank you Best Buy!

I bought these speakers about a month ago and my listening experience with them keeps getting better. Even right out of the box the speakers sounded pretty good, some slight issues with the high range but overall a very nice listening experience. That being said the speakers are still being broken in and with each day the speakers are sounding better and better. I am powering these with a Sony reciever that is slightly overpowered but this allows me to play the speakers at the maximum rated output and man do they get loud. You can easily fill a small - medium sized room with just these two speakers, you may want to think about adding a sub woofer however.

These are among the cheaper bookshelf speakers on the market, and they work really well for the price. You can definitely get better quality elsewhere, but these are more than sufficient for someone on a budget. Fits well with most living room aesthetics too.

I gave them a 5 star rating for sound, but for normal applications I would say bookshelf speakers, not wall mounted, These are in an alcove so pretty hidden from sight, so the amount they stick off the wall doesn't bother me.

Clear and powerful for their size. Perfect addition to my 5.1 sound around system in a 19 x 13 room. I combined these with the Polk S30 center channel and the PolkS10 rear speakers. Very satisfied especially at this price point.

These are a great addition to the C30 center and T15 surround speakers. There produce strong sound good bass and don't bottom out. I replaced my old Onkyo speakers with all Polk. I'm glad I did! Solid quality for the price!

These speakers may be not be the largest or most expensive out there, but do not be fooled. These deliver an excellent sound. I think Polk really excels in bringing out the high end with these speakers. Instruments such as Saxophones, Trumpets and Piano really sound beautiful. I have two pairs of these in a 5.1 setup and my left and right rear and front speakers. Even with the subwoofer off they deliver a very clean and powerful low end sound too. I must also comment on the cabinet and design of the speaker. I leave the cover on for general protection but I find the finish and speaker design very aesthetically pleasing. If you're looking for something that is better than entry level but still want an excellent sound, these are the speakers for you.

These were the first home stereo speakers that I had purchased that weren't a Sony product ever and I was completely blown away.
The sound quality is exceptional and delivers on all level for me. They are great for listening to music, watching movies, and playing games.
They were originally purchased to listen to my vinyl music collection but have been completely applied to my home theater system now and do not disappoint.
Polk has made me a fan, especially knowing that this is their entry level speaker that sounds like it is at least three levels higher on performance.

Awesome rear speakers that work well with my other Polk signature speakers. I picked these up in store as an open box item in satisfactory condition claiming they were missing the power adapter? It left me scratching my head becuase these aren't powered speakers. For almost half the cost it was worth checking them out. When iIopened them up they were brand spanking new still in the factory wrappings undisturbed. Don't sleep on the open box items!!
As for the sound, they are amazing. Great tone, clear & precise. I have them wall mounted as rear speakers in my 5.1.2 setup with matching Polk S50s fronts, S35 center, HTS12 sub and VT60s in ceiling speakers.
I couldnt be happier with Polks sound and value.

Fantastic sounding speakers! After considering floor standing options, I'm so happy I decided on these Polk bookshelf Signature pair because they actually sounded better than more expensive large floor speakers and take up much less space.
