These bookshelf speakers capture the full sound dynamics from any source and carry that great sound to your ears. We had our bedroom sound system expanded from a 3.1 to a 5.1 surround sound system and are loving it. It was quite simply as the Geek Squad team arrived with a second pair and immediately did the setup in short order. Kudos again for a great job!

    Excellent Speakers for the Money

These are excellent speakers for the money. Nice warm sound, tweeter hits the highs but is not "too bright" Its easy to listen to these for hours at a time. These are purposefully designed for easy wall mounting without interfering with sound quality. The Port (Polk refers to this as the Power Port) is on the back, and a plastic housing channels it downward. This allows for the speaker to be directly against the wall without interfering with sound quality. A key hole slot is actually built into the plastic port housing, allowing for very easy direct wall mounting. Each Speaker weighs about 13 pounds, so you will need a quality drywall anchor or tie into a wall stud when mounting. I've used these for a stereo setup and also for rear surrounds in a Dolby 5.1 setup - easy wall mounting a huge plus for this. For the money they are excellent, and I highly recommend them.

Sound is pretty good, and well made quality. I hated all the stickers on these things and it took hours to get the sticky glue off with the orange spray thingy! We used these in our practice for back ground Jazz music and sound quality is very good and for the 50% off the price on Black Friday, it was totally worth it!

Bought both the Klipsch R-15M. Both are nice speakers but I felt the Polk S15 gave a better sound and fuller sound. At the time the POLK was actually $30 more but I thought they were better. A week later, the POLKs went on sale and BEST BUY honored the price reduction so they matched the KLIPSCH sale price.

These speakers are great for a home theater. The sound is crisp and lifelike. They feature crisp mid and high range frequencies without distortion at higher volume. I have this set paired with a Polk Signature Passive center speaker a Polk PSW active 10" subwoofer and Polk T15 for rear surround speakers. With my Yamaha 700 watt 5.1 receiver, the surround sound is amazing! These speakers replaced a set of SONY upright speakers and POLK beats Sony hands down!

I was able to find these open box and after using them, I would gladly have paid full price. The sound quality compared to the lower model on display is huge and with the small price difference they’re definitely worth it. Love using them as my dedicated L/R paired with a sub to listen to records, and they hold their own watching movies on 7.1

I recently put together a stereo from components I had lying about, and the Yamaha bookshelf speakers I already had were OK, but not quite cutting it. I was looking at the BB site, and I saw these. FWIW, my first experience with Polk was over 40 years ago, when they had this amazing tiny speaker that was blowing away all the big ones. I never forgot it. I had also recently bought their small soundbar, and it was way better than anything else in its price range. Anyway, I got these, and I really like them. Are they night and day better than the Yamahas? No, but even with my old ears that can't really hear too much high end anymore, I could tell they were better. It made my "cheap" sounding system sound much better. Completely happy with them. The only trouble is now I still have an old pair of Yamahas....

So far pleased with these bookshelves while using them as surrounds. I am Pairing these with the Polk Signature S35 center, Polk Signature S60 towers, and Sony atmos modules. I got them on sale for 169.99 a pair and have them sitting on a pair of speaker stands. These are my first Polk Speakers. I have used Connoseuir Series Energy Speakers from a decade ago.
