I love the speakers. The sound is clean, and not muffling. This is especially true when I am watching movies. I recommend Polk speakers if you're looking to enhance your home entertainment system.

Very nice budget friendly speakers. I have watched several movies and plenty on music on these and have been very happy. I have them as the rear speakers on my 5.1 surround.

One thing I know about music systems is that you cannot overcome bad speakers. However, good speakers can overcome a lot of issues caused by sub par components. I was taught they are the most important part of your system. Of course, much of that is debatable, but it goes to demonstrate the importance of speakers. These little Bookshelves are a rare bird. They are well made, nice looking, very portable, have a nice sound, and are extremely affordable. They are a very nice two way speaker system. To begin: they are well manufactured. For instance, the box is real wood. The tweeter is top rate and even carries the Polk logo. Everywhere you look, they ooze quality more often seen in speakers costing two or three times as much. C They are a true bookshelf speaker. There are some advertised as such but one would fine difficult to place on a shelf or anywhere that space is at a premium. These can fit almost anywhere. In fact the have a nice wooden back with a keyhole opening for wall mounting. And, the reflex opening is on the front face to enable flush mounting. A great job of engineering. The sound is exquisite. The highs are good that at this price, it’s hard to believe. Cymbals are well defined without smearing. The bass is respectable when shelf mounted, but very good when positioned closer to the floor. The low range had the high quality warm sound. They look great and sound great. The only con I can come up with is the sometimes softness of the low end frequency. But that depends a good bit on placement. These have been around a while and almost every review is good. That’s because these are great speakers. They are a modern day legend. Highly recommend.

Expected far more from these speakers, just a beautiful enclosure, had radioshack 30.00 speakers that sound better. I try thrm eith my old pioneer receiver and Buy a new receiver at best buy thinking it was the receiver but it ptoved the speakers are the bad item.

I had been using a very old pair of Polk speakers for rear channels in my surround setup. It was time to upgrade to something that looked better and performed better. Since I am a fan of Polk I chose these speakers. They are very well made and exhibit great detail and finish and fit. They have built in wall hanging eyelets should you prefer to hang these. The sound is very good. Smooth, fluid and a rich full sound from such a small speaker. They match my black stands perfectly and sit at just the right height. I will soon be upgrading my front main speakers with very high end Polk RTi series towers in a few weeks to compliment these speakers. For the money I cannot see how anyone can go wrong with these. As a small full range small system speaker or in a home theatre these will do the job nicely. Of course if used as small main speakers just be sure to use these with a decent subwoofer. I am a picky listener and these worked for me as good rear surrounds. I highly recommend these!

Bought four of these little fellows to serve as front and surround satellite speakers, along with two other speakers and a Klipsch subwoofer in a 6.1 surround system (using a Sony STR-DH750 7.2 surround receiver). These little speakers produce a warm, balanced, and detailed sound, that is very pleasant on the ears and produces absolutely no listener fatigue. After taking off the grille of one of them when playing at a loud volume, I observed the woofer pumping away with quite a bit of excursion for such a small driver. This observation, along with the tight, punchy sound the Polks were emitting, makes me believe that even if used without a powered subwoofer, these little guys could produce very nice bass for bookshelf speakers. The soft dome tweeter is unbelievably pleasant on the ears, yet detailed, and the woofer is very tight and punchy.

I am using these speakers on my newly revived turntable setup. My system consists of a small 25W amp, a nice tube preamp and my 30 year old Bang & Olufsen 2404 turntable. These speakers are perfect for the job. They sound nice, since my system has no tone control whatsoever, they faithfully reproduce the real sound of the albums, sometimes with astounding clarity. They have some bass, but you may still need a subwoofer, because they are bookshelf speakers and will not produce chest pounding thump. I also have a pair on my home theater system for the "high" speakers. They also sound great for this role. No distortion and we play movies quite loud. I'm quite pleased with these little inexpensive speakers and wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. A lot of bang for the buck.

I was looking for 2 more speakers to add to my home theater system. These are a little bigger than what I have, but for the sale price I got them for I have no complaints. I now have a 7.1 HD home theater setup with these speakers serving as front left and right along with my 5 other Polk Audio speakers and the subwoofer. All around excellent sound from a budget friendly company whose sole purpose is audio. Sure, there might be better sounding speakers, but not for the price.

I've been slowly upgrading my stereo pieces after a power surge destroyed my previous system and the speakers were the last piece. I saw these and decided to get them after reading the myriad other positive reviews and I'm glad I did! They're fantastic for this price point, and might even rival some more expensive ones as well. I'm no audiophile, but I think the sound is remarkably clear. They're super easy to set up, just buy some speaker wire, and are a great size. Definitely recommend!

1st off, I know these are polks entry level speakers for the t-series. I use 4 of these for heights and 2 for surround backs. Let me tell you after a month of getting them broke in, I'm not disappointed . They are great for movie watching. I have them hooked to a onkyo tx-rz3100 11.2 ch avr. Sounds are clear even at higher volumes I was impressed with them, as for base I have subs handling most of that as well as my 4 towers. But in the movie Into the storm, the thunder in the Heights speakers sounded deep and really popped. Again I know there are more expensive speakers out there that have amazing sound, I'm just saying polk is a great speaker company and has been around along time now. And for the sound the t-series put out the price for them is hard to beat. I've been into surround sound for 20yrs upgrading avr and speakers alike over that time, but for now polk is what I'm using.

I pulled out an old stereo system I had from the 90's but my speakers were destroyed,, I purchased these online and did site to store pick up. The order was ready for pick up in 15 min which was great, Brought them home and I have to say these little speakers sound great for what they are. There is not much bass so you might need to add a subwoofer,,the highs are good without any hissing and these really excel with mid range, Over all a well balanced crystal clear sound. I ended up returning them because only the right side speaker connections on my receiver work and I cant afford to replace it right now, but I would def buy these again in the future
