This rating and review is based on price and quality. I bought 2 sets of these for my 7.2 setup when on sale for $50. So for $100 I got 4 speakers to use as my front speakers. With my receiver, I can set my second zone as front speakers. I've listened to sound with just 1 set active and it's ok. But I'm picky and I knew that. So I always have both zones on and I love it. I upgraded from a Polk sound bar to a traditional set up with receiver, speakers, etc and this is what fulfilled my needs. The soundbar just couldn't get loud enough when I was watching tv through my cable box but now I don't even need to use half of my receivers volume capacity to get a clean, crisp, loud sound. Again, I have 4 of these speakers instead of a typical 2 front speaker setup. So if you're only using 2, lower expectations. But for the price I paid, I couldn't be happier. Bass lacks but they're bookshelf speakers. I didn't expect booming bass. That's what a subwoofer is for. If you know what to expect from bookshelf speakers then you will love these.

needed to replace old speakers from 1 20 year old component system. good size, easily fit in wall unit, east to install. very good sound for the price.

These speakers are great! Perfect size, great sound, and you can't beat the price. Able to be mounted on wall, or placed on shelf\Floor. Highly recommended

got these complete my polk audio 7.2 surround sound. they act as my surrounds. they sound great. especially in all channel for music. i got them for $60 open box for the pair. if your looking for a inexpensive pair to add or maybe even upgrade to a box set these are worth a look.

Excellent sounding speakers. Needed another pair for my new turntable sound system. Had my old Mirage speakers hooked up before I received these. I have always loved the sound of my old Mirage speakers, and these Polks sounded so much better and are much smaller. Great purchase.

I was looking for small pair of speakers to place behind my 42” television. These speakers are attached to my receiver and used primarily for watching television. I have a larger set of speakers for strictly stereo listening. The speakers sound excellent with my TV and I also enjoy them when watching movies. I find the speakers well built and attractive.

Bought these speakers on a sale instead of the Yamaha's I came for. I have them hooked up to a Denon amp in my workshop. Excellent sound from such a small speaker. Bass, midrange and treble all come through. Nice looking speakers also.

I listen to a lot of EDM, especially when I'm exercising. These actually sound better than my Pioneer bookshelf that I paid double for. Really handles the bass and midrange very well at high levels!

I bought a basic system (receiver, turntable and these speakers) for my son for Christmas. I'm an audio enthusiast of almost 40 years and my own front channel speakers are a pair of Bose 601s. I am very pleased with the sound quality from these Polk speakers and would be happy to have these as my rear channel speakers as they sound great with his Christmas system.

These sound amazing and I got them for a great price. Easy to hook up and again, they thump.

We bought these for a stereo which is not very high-powered. We did not want to blast-out our living area. The sound is decent and they look good in our living room. A good product for the money.

I had an Onkyo 5.1.2 (Dolby Atmos) speaker package that was decent but not great. I felt it really lacked in the mid-range. After much searching I decided to try these Polk Bookshelf speakers. I originally bought a single pair just to try out. I was blown away at how full these sound for their size and price. They really fill the room, which is actually quite large with high ceilings and tile. I decided to buy another pair and use them for rear speakers as well. I highly recommend these speakers.

I recently bought a receiver from the early 70's and needed some speakers to go along with it. These speakers have a nice, simple and clean look to them and the sound great. A good amount of bass and treble.

I'm really picky about the sound system. With these speakers and my Polk subs it sounds great, decent quality and a great value. I'm purchasing the center speakers next.

Polk speakers are the best speakers to have for a theater system . They put out a lot of base and make you feel like your not missing any of the sound action of your movie.

I was amazed by how well these bookshelf speakers sounded in my big entertainment room; I was just testing them in that room. If you didn't see what the sound was coming from, you would think you're listening to floor standing speakers. Of course distortion comes at high volumes from my Onkyo 636 AV Receiver, but these are magnificent. They would go well in a smaller room, an office, studio, etc. I knew I wasn't going to use them as surrounds but I bought them anyway for $59.99. I will figure out where to use them.

Knew when they arrived something was wrong as there should be nothing in a box of speakers shifting and rattling. Upon opening one speaker was in pieces and completely unusable. Box was in perfect shape so can't really say if it happened in shipping. Exchanged at store and once the new speakers were hooked up I was totally satisfied with my purchased. I bought them to replace some 20 year old floor speakers that didn't fit into the smaller spacer I would be moving into. Sound from the new Polks were very crisp and clear. Never realized how tired my old speakers had become. The base is perfect for music. I listen to a large variety of genres and the sound has never been lacking. Vocals are meant to be understood and not drowned out by too much bass. I do enjoy feeling the bass when I watch movies and that is why I have a seperate subwoofer.

These are a great set of speakers. They are not small, but you get a medium size driver and a tweeter. They replaced a small pair of satellite speakers I had for my surrounds and wow they really are like night and day. I'm getting more/clear sound from these guys. Granted I had to attain a new set of stands off of amazon for them, but it's been worth it. I would absolutely recommend these to a friend for the quality and price!

I use these in an atmos set up. bought these to match the other 2 I use. They sound great and when you get them on sale it is even better. You get more than what you pay for with these speakers.
