Given the sale price of these, I honestly expected nothing more than serviceable speakers I could use temporarily as surround bookshelf sources. They turned out to work so well that I kept them as my permanent surround speakers. I'm sure they work fine for stereo speakers as well, as I often flip mode to 5 channel stereo for music.

You can not beat the quality for the price. I don't have a subwoofer yet and these are still satisfying. I love these speakers. I can't wait to add a sub. They also have a hole in the back to mount on the wall. I mounted mine to stands that came with bracket kits.

These sound great paired with my Sony receiver and Polk sub. Great for a surround sound system on a budget! Price is right!

The sound from my Polk shelf speaker is so clear and the sub wolfer kicks the bass.

Size, sound are great. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for bookshelf speakers

I purchased these the week after thanksgiving as they were basically about half off, and I'm glad I did. I'm using them as reference speakers to compliment my polk towers, in this configuration they work well, however I would not recommended them as a stand alone stereo set. They lack the low frequency, but they are bookshelf speakers so that should be fairly apparent, get to compliment your home theater on a budget or throw in a subwoofer to have a decent stereo experience. Either way can't go wrong...Love Polk!

I recently purchased these speakers to match the center speaker. The idea was to replace a worn out older center speaker and some nice but also old Yamaha speakers. Another reason was I wanted to have matching speakers so when the action or sounds moved around speaker to speaker, the sound was consistent. These speakers made me smile the first time I turned on the receiver and listened.

Love these compact speakers. I have them in a small room and easily tuck away and deliver great sound. I’ve cranked the volume and they handle all the bass I could stand and had no signs of distortion. Good solid wood construction also.

The sound is full and the midranges are clear. Bass can be better, but for its price, it’s not a bad deal.

Were just the size I was looking for to replace larger speakers. Have very good sound quality and range for a low price.

... of speakers. Easy hookup. Sound was very nice considering these were the first 2 I had. Have now added floors and sub is next. Cant wait to get the whole set up. Bought these on sale but great value even if they werent. Produce a good amount of range but definitely need that sub to get the real depth.

I purchased these speakers along with a Rocketfish Universal Wireless rear speaker kit to add speakers at the other end of a large room and the two items work great. These speakers give clear sound and reasonable bass for their size. They are easy to set up and look nice. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Love them! Sound quality is excellent. Easy to install. Used as rear channel speakers in home theater.

Using these in my surround system and they sound great push plenty of power and clarity is way above my Sony speakers

These speakers are well worth the price and if $100 is all you've got than a good choice. If you have heard other Polk speakers you may be a little disappointed... If I had it to do over again, I probably still would have bought them considering I am on a tight budget. If I had a a bit more money I would go for something in the RTiA series. Decent low end for a bookshelf but leaves something to be desired, mids are a bit tinny, and highs are crisp. Good sound, not great.

these book shelve speakers by polk are way more than I expected. They claim their good for up to 100 watts and they take that and much more. The manual says their rated at up to 150 and I believe it. The more power you give them the better they sound. I'm waiting for them to go on sale again,hopefully soon.Their better than my cerwin vega Ve 5s

Purchased with stereo receiver for a small office. Sound quality is excellent...ample bass for a small speaker, and clear highs. No regrets. At this price point a very, very good value.

Needed to replace old Bose speakers and these are every bit as good. And they were relatively inexpensive.

I bought these to replace a set of Bose speakers, and these sound much better! More range, and better bass!
