Vintage movie on blue ray. Picture is no better than a dvd Good price for a blue ray though

This movie is great! My mother and I enjoyed watching this action pack movie!

Another disaster movie of the 1970s and a great one at that. Looks good and sounds good here on the HD Blu-ray! I didn't see any problems here when played back on the 4K TV and 4K Player. Clean picture and had some good detail. Superior to prior analog DVD releases. All special features are here including several audio commentaries. The late Stella Stevens gives one with fellow actresses Carol Lynley, and Pamela Sue Martin. Audio is a good DTS English 5.1 among other options. I do recommend this one.

An oldie but a goodie. Always loved watching this as a kid. Best Buy was the only place I found that sells it.

One of the best DVD reissues yet; THIS is how they should be done! Excellent restoration and picture/sound quality along with every possible extra, including reproductions of lobby cards. The extras include the AMC Backstory documentary, publicity stills, marketing information, technical info from director Ronald Neame about the filming of some of the more challenging sequences. But best are the 2 full-length commentary tracks, one with the delightful Neame and then the excellent commentary from stars Stella Stevens, Pamela Sue Martin, and Carol Lynley. These ladies offer a lot of helpful, entertaining tidbits and much historical reference as well. They aren't like the airhead actresses of today; they really know how movies are made (particular kudos to Stella Stevens) and have a generous spirit in sharing them. They also are very tactful in recalling working with the nightmarish Shelley Winters. Great Fun! A truly excellent treatment of a nostalgic classic that left an indelible mark on many, many people. Highly recommended.

This is a classic disaster movie. All star cast and pretty good effects for time.

I only picked this up because it was the best version available. I'm waiting on a 4k version if possible....

Awesome Action Adventure Drama Film!The Poseidon, an ocean liner larger than the Queens Elizabeth and Mary combined, is charting its course on New Year's Eve. Just after midnight, Captain Harrison (Leslie Nielsen) spots the mother of all tidal waves. It is the last thing that Harrison and practically everyone else onboard sees before drowning -- the Poseidon is turned upside down, with only a handful of survivors. The ten lucky ones -- including Mike Rogo (Ernest Borgnine), Linda Rogo (Stella Stevens), Acres (Roddy McDowall), Belle Rosen (Shelley Winters), and Manny Rosen (Jack Albertson) -- led by no-nonsense minister Frank Scott (Gene Hackman).

Glad this is finally on Blu-ray. One of the classic disaster movies.
