A really good adventure and disaster type movie on a ship.

Is it a good movie came out when the Titanic came out and still a good movie to this day just like the Titanic I am not open mind because it was a Blu-ray I ordered DVD they sent me the wrong movie they sent me a Blu-Ray so I was not able to use it so I'm having to send it back but it is a good movie a fantastic movie I'd recommend it to anybody if you like the Titanic you will like the Poseidon Adventure

No movie is more harrowing, more thrilling, more claustrophobic, more entertaining, than The Poseidon Adventure. This blu-ray release handsomely enhances that picture and sound quality which really ups the tension of this nail-biter of a movie. Plus, it's loaded with equally entertain bonus features. I'm so glad that I final got a copy of The Poseidon Adventure on blu-ray...and for a great price, too!

I think that "The Poseidon Adventure" was one of the greatest classic disaster films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite films. I really enjoyed all of the action, mystery, suspense and drama that kept this film very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that "The Poseidon Adventure" had a really great, impressive and amazing cast, plot and personal storylines as well.

This is a very traditional disaster movie with a major star cast. The is the original and is much better than the recent remake. This movie was made long before CGI effects became the standard and many of the effect were created using real water, real risk and great cameras and camera operators. Well worth every dime spent on this Blu-ray copy, the transfer to digital for this Blu-ray is very good.

Watched this movie umpteen times and love it very much . The original classic is the best . Not much into the remake that was made many years later . It’s amazing with blu ray quality too :) highly recommend to all including those that loved the Titanic movie and anything to do with doomed ships . Buy with confidence !

This is the movie that truly kicked off the "disaster film" genre, and is really well done for the era and still holds up today. All of the classic stereotypes that you expect in a disaster film are present, and the cast is perfect. It is part of the Irwin Allen film series that includes The Towering Inferno and Earthquake. A must own for any fan of disaster films.

There have been several remakes, sequels to this movie, but you can only see the original before seeing those. With an all star cast of the 1970s, this classic drama/disaster movie is a hoot. Get it, and watch it. Then go back to Best Buy and buy Earthquake and The Towering Inferno, also classic disaster movies of the 1970s. Irwin Allen certainly knew how to make a great disaster movie.

This was one of the first blockbuster disaster movies for it's time and is just terrific. It does ramble at times but it's got top acting from a fine ensemble and the special effects for the time are pretty good. A sprawling epic. And I love the fact that it's over 2 hours long.

One of the must-see 1970's action movies with an all-star cast. Pretty implausible, but if you suspend disbelief and common sense for a few hours you'll have a very enjoyable time seeing some of the great Hollywood stars triumph over tragedy!

This movie absolutely holds up for younger audiences. Don't write this movie off because you thought the remake was bad. This film is superb with a fantastic ensemble cast, filled with great character moments, as well as a good survival story, and great movie overall.

this was a good old fashioned disaster movie. the acting is a little over the top. Once the ship is overturned the suspense is fairly tight. And you get an almost claustrophobic feeling for the rest of the film. The Blu-ray picture is clean,but the 5.1 sound is not very impressive.

Saw this movie when I was young it’s a good movie I enjoyed it when I saw it and I still enjoy it when I see it even my family likes it so I had to have it in my collection yes I recommend this movie

Older version is better than the revamped one. Great movie about a disaster on a cruise ship similar to Titanic, but instead of just sinking, the ship overturns and people have to go deeper into the ship to escape.

Classic movie with great actors that really know how to sell the script. Great picture quality.

Had a movie night around the pool and decided to show this classic movie. So many memorable stars in the movie. A must see as the original is so much better than the remake!

For those of us who love the classics this is one you must have this movie will always be a fan favorite pick it up today especially at this great price

If you have never seen this original version you really need to watch it. It has some memorable actors, who gave great performances.

Had to grab this one for my library. One of the original catastrophe dramas. Great price and on bluray. Looking for the Towering Inferno now.

Definitely a 70’s movie, but one that is worth seeing. Great price and quick shipping even during the pandemic. Will buy more movies from Best Buy!
