I have a controller that drifts, so i just throw the battery in that one to charge, while I'm gaming with the other battery in the controller that works! It is almost impossible to mess up the placement of the controller in the base. And you don't have to worry about plugging something in incorrectly and damaging a charging port.

This was the best purchase that I have made. It works great, now they always have controllers that work. Saves me a lot of money. Charge lasts for a long time.
