Many users appreciate the convenience of the wireless controls and the extra buttons on the back. However, some users express concerns about the controller's battery life and build quality, describing it as flimsy compared to the standard wireless controller.

Was simple to add to our Switch and the kids (6 and 9) love how much easier it is to hold than the original JoyCon based controllers they used before. Feels a lot more like the XBOX style controller they were previously used to using. (And they love the Pokeball styling.) I don't use it as much as them, but it's comfortable to my grown-up hands as well.
Has held up against almost 2 months of playtime, including 2 car trips, without any noticeable issues. This is our second PowerA Switch controller. After getting one about a week before, the kids saved up to get this as a second one for our Switch.

It is super easy to pair and the programmable buttons make it easier to use controls. The only con is that it doesn’t vibrate. It fits nicely in hand and very comfortable! Would happily buy again.

Overall this is great but it does drain batteries fairly quickly. I found myself changing them out about 3-4 times a month. Would definitely recommend to friends. I would recommend getting some nice rechargable AA batteries
It is comfortable and the extra programmable buttons help with some games (like botw, you can use them to swap weapons instead of having to use the dpad so you can keep your thumb on the joystick)

I love this controller, it feels as light as a joy con, but it doesn't shut off. there's an auto shutoff after a certain amount of time but if you accidentally bump a button it'll come on. also it is wireless and it can not connect to a chord, runs on double batteries

Very happy with this controller. Works great on crash bandicoot and Mario so far. I've owned it for a week but it feels like it should be fine in terms of quality and the battery life is holding well. Remember that this uses AA batteries.

This a good controller that while doesn't have a rechargeable battery like the Pro Controller, but is less expensive. The grip is good, and it comes with a couple extra programmable buttons on the bottom.

If you have kids and they pick it out, get it. If you want another controller for your console, skip this one and just buy a pro controller. This control feels light and cheap compared to the pro controller and also uses batteries. I prefer to charge my controllers but if you like the design and don't care about the quality, by all means purchase it.

Good for a secondary controller, but there is no vibration or rumble, so you lose a lot of the fun of some games by not being able to experience that (like reeling in a fish on Animal Crossing, getting stung by bees, or chopping down trees).

Built quality is kinda bad tbh, analog sticks don’t really feel well on the thumbs and it just feels cheap. After about a month of use the analog sticks started drifting and it eats battery. Invest in an actual Nintendo Pro controller!

Great controller, no issues so far. Bought it as a gift and of course any pokemon fan will love it. Easy to pair to the switch. It has been dropped multiple times and still functions normally. For the sale price, this beats buying the Nintendo switch wireless controller.

We needed another controller that wasn’t too costly. This fit the Bill and we have enjoyed it. The only real issue we have is it doesn’t rumble like our Nintendo pro controller. Otherwise it’s a good alternative to the Nintendo branded controllers.

Got this to play Smash and I love it! Still like to use the Gamecube controller but this one works just as well and makes me feel that I have a bit more control over my character.

My son prefers these controllers as they have extra programmable buttons. They are a little bigger than the Nintendo Pro controllers.
