Very fantasy inspired. A developer involved in the elder scrolls oblivion played a role in making this game, so there's definitely great fantasy inspiration. Very similar to how fable looks like. I haven't beaten it yet, haven't picked it up in awhile, but I might eventually.

If you're looking for a better story, try The Witcher 2. If you're looking for a more open ended game, try Skyrim. Otherwise, this is a good game. The fighting and gameplay is, in my opinion, actually better than those other two games. You feel more in control and are able to pull off moves smoothly. But the game can get tedious - there are a lot of quests that aren't much fun to do, and there is really no need to do them. As someone who likes to "do everything" in a game, I got quite bored and quit doing sidequests 3/4ths of the way through.

Was able to purchase during on of Best Buy's buy 2 get 1 free used game deals. What a steal at $17.99. The game is long, fun, and offers a bunch of side quests. The large would you're able to explore is beautiful as well.

This is a great game if you don't take it too seriously. There's a lot of customization with your character and a lot of places to explore on your own. Just don't play it for the story - it's pretty mediocre compared to other rpgs (Skyrim, Mass Effect, Dragon Age). But for cheap thrills, you can't go wrong here.
