Great game! Its pretty long if you want a good long 60 dollar game has 30+ main missions and 157 side ops.it has great vehicles like tanks and walkers. defiantly one of the best games I played all year and I have played all of them so far so I would defiantly recommend this to anyone who likes 3rd person shooters or free roaming games.

Arguably one of the greatest, if not the greatest game of all time. The king of High tech/espionage/infiltration spy thrillers is back. Join Big Boss in the 1980s as he puts together his own private army and solves the mysteries of his past. Manage your base locally or online in PvP matches. Awesome game, probably game of the year.

With a gigantic opening sequence, minimal directives and a vast open world, snake can decide how, where and when he strikes. It's obvious Kojimas departure from his MGS swan song was abrupt, leaving a beautiful game with profound attention to detail behind and yet is left feeling like an abandoned child, with a hefty trust fund.

Great game all around, good graphics and story line

As I dive into this game I have concerns about not playing any of the earlier ones. I found out you don't need to its insanely fun and great. Graphics are amazing and not to mention that I spent over 140 hour on it and I am only 66% done with it. This game is a must buy, not to mention that its Kojimas last game.

I don't know if I'm being hard on this game but I expected so much more. The fact that kiefer is voicing snake is a hard pill to swallow. That and a story that's broken up into missions that you have to go back and replay to get further into the story made for a bit of a sour experience for me. That being said I love the gameplay, graphics, and characters. The fact that it has an online component was its biggest saving grace as I've been playing that long after I finished single player.

I never played any of the previous MGS games, but seeing the E3 demos and realizing just how truly open world this game was going to be...I got hooked. Pre ordered and played on day one, and I was not disappointed. I bought the game for my XB1, but I seriously would buy it again for my PC when it goes on sale.

This game is groundbreaking and incredible. The open world and undirected objectives are a blast, making this game one of the best. If only it wasn't Metal Gear Solid. While the game is phenomenal, it fails to live up to the story driven action that I am accustomed to in MGS games. The story feels disconnected as I go from mission to mission. If it was a new IP, I would say 5 stars but the lack of story makes it a good but not great MGS game. Still a must buy regardless.

If you played Peacewalker and enjoyed it, then you will love this game! The game handles just like Ground Zeroes and has all the RPG elements of Peacewalker. I haven't been able to get too far in, I think I am only on the 7th story mission or so, but the core gameplay is what makes this game shine!

Having purchased MG on the PS as well as MGS2 and MGS3 on the PS2 along with MGS4 on the PS3, I have to say that this evolution of the franchise is the best since the first, if not better. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in a stealth game or open shooter because you can do both.

This is a very good game, sometimes it does require patience and some mission work better if you give it time. This game allows you to go in Guns Blazing, or sneak stealthy to complete missions. Story line is good. I would recommend this to anyone that has played any of the previous MGS games.

If you like the other MGS games you will be right at home. This game is huge and has many different ways to finish the mission. If you want to play loud in this game rather than sneak there are definitely many cool options to explore. If you like the series you shouldn't miss this one.

I love this game! Graphics are great and the gameplay and plot were fun. My only gripe is the third person aiming by default, and after switching to "remember last setting" for aiming mode it still reverts back to third person when I'm not expecting it. Beyond that it is pretty flawless

Love this game. Great mechanics, great story, nice open world, decent graphics. This Gane gets 4 starts because of the ending and lack of any dlc or updates. Not a fan of Konami anymore. This was a pre owned title and it works perfect. No scratches on disc, great game play.

There is a ton of new guns, there is now a sandbox environment, you can have companions to help you in your missions, there is a nifty multiplayer function, the stealth mechanics are good, and the shooting mechanics are just as solid. This is my vote for Game of the Year.

I have been playing metal gear since its NES days. As I was playing Phantom Pain, I felt that Metal Gear's vision was finally realized. During multiple missions in Africa, I felt I was playing the original NES game the way it was always meant to be played. Masterpiece!

Beatifully done! Graphics,Gameplay,Progression of game a blast! If you love open world stealth games this game has it all. The leveling up of weapons, your abilities is what makes it fun. The building up of your Motherbase adds a fun dynamic. Definitely worth the time.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is really a well made game. It should be considered a candidate for Game of the Year award. It has everything you would want for sneaking around and talking out the enemy using different methods. I would highly recommend this game.

This game is perfect for anyone new to the MGS series. I Have been playing since mgs on the original PlayStation this game is by far the best in the series. The only CON is that the narrative is not as mindblowing as usual but it is a definite buy no questions asked.

This game is definitely my pick of game of the year. I bought it on ALL platforms and the amount of content you get in this game and the scale of overwhelmingly great. Familiar with the series or not it is still a must own and very easy to pick up and play. MUST BUY!
