Was going to wait to get this later down the year. Whole game play changed to fit your style. Stealthy or run-and-gun, up to you. Side missions make this game seem larger. Log crazy hours just building up your base and hunting and tranq'in wild animals. Crazy fun.

This game is one of the best currently available for Xbox One or PS4. Highly recommend this to anyone that is a fan of stealth action or the Metal Gear Solid series. It is a masterpiece. The game is huge and very detailed. The game play is near flawless.

Great game with some of the best graphics. If you played any Metal Gear Solid games in the past then you will love this one. If you have never played a MGS game this is an excellent game to begin with. You can adjust the settings for the beginner.

Great game! Hours of fun. I loved the older Metal Gear games, and this one is excellent as well. Picked up this as my first game on XB1, and absolutely love it. You will not be disappointed!

MGS V combines the stealth action from previous games with open world freedom. While it's open world there's not a lot to do so far outside of the outposts, but I'm only halfway through the game. Lot of side ops that go along with the main campaign.

From a veteran MGS player, this is a great extension of the MGS series. The ability for customization of almost every aspect of this game is incredible. I'm only about 3 hours worth of gameplay into it, but the storyline is pretty great thus far.

MSG:V has lived up to the hype, easily my top game so far this year. They really nailed down the steath systems, better storytelling, & an open world that feels alive. Would definitely recommend this to anyone that's a fan of action/stealth games.

I'm at least 30 hours into this game and I see no end in sight and that's a good thing. There are pros and cons to this game as with any other, but the overall experience has been awesome. I've read some polarizing reviews from fans and newcomers alike, but in my opinion this is one of the best of stealth action games I ever played.
Pros:
Addicting game play.
Graphics and sound design or top-notch.
Stealth mechanics at its finest.
Gadgets and weaponry galore.
Challenging and lengthy in a good way.
It seems that almost everything you pick up and gather, matter to the game. It's not just arbitrary collecting.
The buddy system is a breath of fresh air.
Staff and resource management, developing/upgrading weaponry and the " mother base " itself make the game feel more fleshed out.
Side note: " Mother Base" development carries over to the online portion known as FOB missions. I haven't done anything regarding online because the multiplayer portion hasn't been fully unlocked yet.
Cons:
Convoluted story ( per usual with Metal Gear games)
Weapon and gadget selection during gameplay can sometimes feel like it's working against you.
Every main mission starts off as if it's the first time you've ever played the game.
Some of the mission types get a little repetitive.
Aside from that, if you are looking for one of the best stealth action games you can possibly get this generation look no further.

Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain is another great saga in the Metal Gear Series. If you've played the other games, I'd highly recommend picking this up. Even if you haven't, the story has enough tooth to stand on it's own from the rest. Great game.

This game was actually my first in the mgs series, and while getting caught up with the story and context during the actual time i was playing this game, i still enjoyed it a lot and i feel like anyone can jump into this series from this game.

Metal Gear's take on an open world sandbox style game is near perfection. Rarely in a video game is the gamer rewarded for constructive creativity in obtaining objectives as you are in the Phantom Pain. This is a must own gaming experience!

Hideo Kojima has not lost his touch, even with this being his last Metal Gear. Though it lacks the 3 hour long cutscenes that Metal Gear Solid games tend to have, It makes up for it with the perfect drag and drop espionage sandbox gameplay!

Never got into the MGS universe before this game but bought this to give it a try. Story is weird but gameplay and the amount of content wise this game is so good. Definite purchase even if you don't quite know what's going on in the story

If you love the Metal Gear Solid games then you are already going to buy this game. If you've never played them but love controlling the pace of your gameplay in an action game then buy this game. Either way you will be happy. Great game.

By all intensive purposes this game seems to tie up the Metal Gear Solid series started way back on the SNES in 1987. The game play is vast and offers up several ways to play and each mission can be accomplished in so many different ways.

I'm a huge fan of Metal Gear, and although this game was a letdown with the story being left untold, and many instances for improvement, the gameplay was nearly impeccable. It only gets4/5 from me because of all the untapped potential left on the table from Konami. I hope Kojima and Konami can come to some sort of an agreement to give this game an ending the fans deserve.

This is the story of big boss, it picks up right where ground zeros left off. If you are a fan of stealth action games you need to to pick this up.
This is a game that is very deep and compelling but its not without its silliness.

Story is confusing and odd like always but the gameplay to this game makes it the best in franchise history. They destroyed Snake's character with the that Kiefer Sutherland guy and the high dependence of that Sony Walkman and it's cassette tapes. Snake barely speaks a word now in Phantom Pain and the game feels like a big lecture instead of a actual story to remember.
