Love Resident Evil. Own and played nearly all the games. I this one is every bit as good and meshes the recent action gameplay in the modern re games with the great horror aspect from the originals. I also love playing the online raid mode.

    An enjoyable, but forgettable experience

The Resident Evil franchise has been hit or miss over the last few entries, and while some are laughably bad or incredible trips through the horror genre, Revelations 2 falls somewhere in the middle. It has many of the franchise staples, grotesque monsters, eerie atmosphere, and lots of violence. However it also carries the burden of a lower budget, which results in a less than stellar experience. A follow up to the 3DS original (later ported to home consoles) Revelations 2 is a fun game, and the Raid mode is excellent. The story however, is not really very scary, and is forgettable at best, mediocre at worst. It is most certainly worth a playthrough, especially for franchise fans, but it will not be as memorable of an experience as it's predecessor.

One of the great showcases for Xbox one

This game is one of the cases where the Xbox one version outperforms the PS4. So if you are a multi console owner, go for the Xbox version. The game is a great classic in this series and is multi language so if you change the console's language to Japanese on Xbox one you will be playing Biohazard with Japanese voices. Also it takes time to download the chapters so have an Xbox arcade game ready to play as you wait.

    Capcom's identity crisis

Its hard to summarize what the Resident Evil series is all about. With the sheer number of entries into the franchise, many of which are radically different from the predecessor, its hard to know what to expect from a Resident Evil title. While the first games were a fixed camera survival game with emphasis on ammo management and puzzle solving, the Wii title was a rail shooter, and the 360 and ps3 RE were third person over the shoulder action games with coop campaigns. Revelations tried to blur these together to make a third person puzzle game with emphasis on the horror aspects the original games were known for. Game is relatively short, only 4 episodes long (each will take about an hour and 30 minutes each if played conservatively) with two extra mini episodes. The additional modes offered such as invisible mode and countdown mode are more frustrating then they are enjoyable, so don't expect a whole lot of replay value, save for the online raid mode.

I got this game because of my obsession with Resident Evil 4. Although this game is not as good as RE4, this one still packs quite the punch. The fact that it has the co-op option is a nice touch. This is a god game that i very much enjoyed as a RE fan.
