    Pretty fun, but long

I'm not a normal JRPG player but I really enjoyed this. It has a good cast of characters and story, and the battle system is action-packed for a strict RPG. It runs long but I guess that is to be expected with a JRPG.

I purchased Tales of Xillia mainly to round out our Tales games collection. Got the house a used PS 3 for x-mas so finally had the platform for the Xillia games. Originally got Tales of Symphonia in a bargain bin years ago. Our family now loves all the Tales games. Basically an Japanese Style RPG with tactical combat. Anyone that likes Japanimation will probably like it.

I love rpg games and I especially like how you have an option to be the guy or girl character. The storyline is awesome as well as graphics and audio. The gameplay and fighting itself is pretty easy to understand and do once you get the hang of it.

It ranks up there with other tales of games. But if your looking for an rpg like fallout or oblivion look past this

I usually try to keep my reviews objective, focusing on every aspect of the product. However, sometimes being subjective is the best option. This being the case, this game comes down to how well you enjoy the Tales series. It's more of the same. Nothing innovative here. But why would there be? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? If you love the Tales series like most JRPG fans do, you'll love this game. Personally, I usually only play Tales games when waiting for other JRPGs to be released. It's not a bad play regardless of where you stand on the series, unless you just absolutely hate the series. Just don't expect anything game changing. Expect nothing more, nothing less.
