Customers are saying

Customers find value in the gameplay, large roster of wrestlers, and improved career mode of WWE 2K16. Many appreciate the inclusion of wrestlers from different eras and the ease of learning the game. However, some users find the control scheme and submission system challenging, and a few have noted difficulty with certain moves and AI opponents. The overall experience is largely positive, but improvements could be made to address these specific concerns.

    Improvement from 2k15

The roster is indeed larger, but some people are missing that were on 2k15 :(. The overall flow of matches is more fluid but there are sticky spots. Later patches should improve that. MyCareer is now longer and you can compete for every title compared to just World Heavyweight last year.

This game has a lot of wrestlers plus downloadable community made wrestlers. Lots of match types and plenty of features including career mode which is very fun. My only problem with the game is that the pin defense is overly difficult and cheapens the overall game play.

The game has been fun so far. Besides the updated roster there is a not a whole lot different from last years version. So far I've enjoyed the Stone Cold Steve Austin showcase mode so far over anything else.

WWE 2K16 is a welcome addition to the WWE 2K family. The gameplay is much better and plays closer to a simulator than it ever has before. If you preferred the arcade style, this could still float your boat but it leans more towards realism this time around. The animations are much smoother, there are tons of superstars and divas to choose from and the overall presentation is much better. I wish that load times would be a little shorter when creating a character but that's a small gripe. The MyCareer mode is back and bigger than ever as it now allows you to choose which championship to gun for and who to be allies/rivals with and who you want your tag partner to be. It goes a lot more in depth than 2K15 did. The Stone Cold 2K showcase is very well done, can be difficult at times(which I like) and gives a good overall look at the career of Stone Cold. Overall, I would give this game a 9/10 as they improved a lot of problems fans had from the last game as well as adding a ton of new content, making this a must play for wrestling fans.

    It's Okay

Call me nostalgic but to me the best control scheme any wrestling games have had were the ones for N64. I'm sorry but try as they might, no wrestling game has been able to come close to that. The only one that I know of to even come close was the first Def Jam game and that wasn't exactly a wrestling game. So basically what I;m trying to say is that I thought the controls were weren't all that great. To me the submission mini game they have is also more annoying than anything, it just ends up getting on my nerves more often than not. There are a few other things I found annoying but I'll just leave it at this. It's an okay game if you're a wrestling fan and much better than any recent WWE games that I've played. Over the past few years most of the ones I tried I thought were unplayable so while this one isn't great in my eyes, it is a step in the right direction.

    Entertaining dumb Wrestling Game

Now I'm not gonna go down to any intricate details about the game, just highlights. The game is absolutely entertaining after you finish up some prep for the game. Creating you character can be time consuming, the game wants your input on just about every aspect, but you can make your character look like a complete roided out musclehead, absolutely puny, or into some kind of cartoon alien. But from the time I've had, it's been absolutely entertaining using my character to fight the likes of the Undertaker, John Cena, Ultimate Warrior, and so much more. Many of the past and current Wrestling greats are in this game, it's pretty insane. Also the game can have some glitches from time to time, some hit boxes don't always match up, and sometimes it's kind of difficult to change your targeting on some opponents. Also I kind of hate the computer or maybe I just suck, it's possibly the latter. To end this, if you're a wrestling fan, you'll love this game and the many types of matches you can take part in.

I always loved wrestling games until 2k had taken over, and made them so hard to learn and play. This game I took a back friday chance on from reviews I had read...and well worth it! Very easy to pick up and play. Huge roster! fun modes. Overall, best WWE game in a decade, no doubt.

Roster size is good but many of characters are poor choices because they are more jobbers than real superstars. There are still too many duplicates in the game like 10 versions of the Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin which was done in previous WWE games. This game is the same as WWE2k 15 with an expanded roster. Also, all the characters who were in the last year's game look exactly the same. I was hoping for more variety in the character models. Not too mention the new submission system in the game is horrible and impossible to use because it is too difficult. I pre-ordered the game from Best Buy and that process was great and I will do it again next year!

Being a bit biased to the n64 wrestling games, I must say I was impressed with this game and the roster and technical skill involved. Graphics are lacking, but this genre is about gameplay and it might be the best modern release yet. I'd highly recommend this for any wrestling fan

To make this short and sweet the in match gameplay is a lot better than last years the stamina system and having to recharge reversal bars add a more realistic feel to your matches the roster is deeper but there are a lot of alternate versions of some wrestlers A lot of server issues in beginning led to being stuck on the start menu the creation suite boasts the face capture option but no matter how I edited the pictures none of them worked but the showcase is very well done but no dlc yet so while the gameplay is good I do regret preordering this but I would recommend buying this later like mid January most of the bugs and Dlc should be out by then

    An Average Wrestler

Overall, it's not a terrible game, but it feels like it's lacking the polish that the WWE presents on a weekly basis. Some wrestlers look quite good, while others (like DDP, for example) look worse than CAWs people have created. The submission system is very frustrating for a newer individual. The reversal system is a nice change of pace (limited number of reversals). The story mode is enjoyable, but the interview segments come off as very jilted - "let's talk about Tyler Breeze" is something you will get very tired of very quickly. It's a step up from last year, but it's just not up to the standard that the series achieved before.

So I end up skipping 2k15 and hoping that 2k16 would be better, and boy was I right. 2K16 is so much better then 2k15 and hopefully the future will get better and better with each game. Thought the new submission system sucks.

WWE 2K16 is a big step up from WWE 2K15. It features much more content with a larger roster (120+) more modes, you can finally create divas again. Gameplay has improved with better animations, kick out and submission mechanics.

There are tons of characters and items to unlock that you won't notice they're becoming available because the game play is so fun. Even if you're playing campaign, the game is great. I have yet to try multiplayer as I've been working on the 2k showcase.

After a horrible game, WWE 2k15, 2K games has flipped the lackluster entry into WWE 2K16. 2K16 has brougth back tons of modes that were missing in 15 and added even more. Having over 120 wrestlers and divas to choose from is amazing. Having past wrestlers from your childhood to the current roster including those of NXT gives you a ridiculous amount of wrestlers to choose from. Stone Cold's Showcase mode is an awesome road of nostalgia and the guys at WWE have developed great video packages to go along with the game. If you were put off from the awful 2K15, make sure to pick up 16 with confidence as this might be one of the best wrestling games since those of the N64 era. Of course the game isn't perfect but it sure is a great one to add to your gaming library. Now go pick up a copy of the game because "Stone Cold said so!"

I always been a fan WWE wrestling games. Now I must say compared to last year WWE 2K this year 2k16 is hands down better with the game play, smoothness of the game, A.I., more modes to play in, and of course the largest roster.
