Preacher begins with, of course, an extraterrestrial event. It slows winds down to the combination of a worldly preacher, who happens to be the protagonist of the story, with a mix ensemble of a 110 year old vampire, a small town and all of its gossip, angels, and demons.

An excellent first season. This show introduces us to the adventures of Jesse Custer, the preacher with the gift to command with mere words, his girlfriend and his vampire best friend. Top notch writing and acting keep the pace moving and engaging the whole time!

It doesn't follow the comic, but is true to the characters! If you loved the comic series you will love this show. Even if you haven't read the comic, and you like violence and dark humor, this is the show for you. I can't wait for season 2 to come out!

This show is great and a rare case in that it adapts a comic book property, changes it a great deal but is still great. Fun, but not funny, serious but not too serious and at no point does the show take itself too seriously. Highly recommend!

I would recommend this Blu Ray, not a lot of extras but if you are looking for nice Blu Ray this is worth it. The show is very unique: dark and violent but also very funny at times. It’s a wild ride for sure.

Best transfer and screenplay of graphic novel, ever! " Preacher" grabbed me right away. Acting is superb, many mysteries, subplots and quirky characters held me in THRALL. Awesome program, can not wait for season two!

I was able to watch the first few episode on cable but then fell behind. This show has amazing writing and the story is great. AMC has another hit on there hands and this show is most definitely worth watching.

This show is based on the comic book series of the same name. I won't give anything away but it is more complex than I had anticipated. Also to be noted, this series is graphic so viewer discretion is advised.

I haven't read the comics so I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this AMC series. I loved it, although if you are turned off by the violence in The Walking Dead this is probably not your type of show.

This show surprised me. It has great writing and very good acting. It is a very entertaining show. It looks much better on bluray then it ever did on TV. If you have red the books this show is based on you will definitely enjoy the show.

AMC seems to be getting better with their comic adaptations. This is much more faithful to the source material than The Walking Dead was/has been. I hope this takes off. I can't wait to see more.

I gave this show a chance because my co-worker recommended it. I'm glad I did. It is well cast and not predictable. It has a perfect blend of tension and humor. It is just plain fun to watch.

I caught most of this show when it first aired on TV on the AMC Channel a good show to go along with The Walking Dead solid horror show and good adaptation from Comic/Graphic Novel to TV worth checking out underrated in my opinion.

I have been watching Season 2 and needed to see from the beginning. I got very interested in show and feed I needed to see what happened from the start. Not for the squeamish.

This is a very interesting take on a horror show, with humor, strange and unusual images and foretelling flashbacks. Very enjoyable and quite unpredictable!! thumbs up!!

Cool series on Blu-ray, but the digital isn't working on a couple of big ultraviolet platforms Cinemanow & Vudu. SO be warned. STILL worth getting to add to your collection.

The show is very different than the comics in plot and pacing. The main characters are there and main plotline seems like it will line up with the original stories.

This is hands down one of my top three all time shows. It has everything for everyone. The actors are fantastic, the plot is action packed and funny.

I got this series for my husband, who is a science fiction fan. He enjoyed it, but says I wouldn't like it because of the violence. I think he would watch further episodes when available.

While a VERY far step from the comics (the books are heavy into deviance and language; violence), this is a really fun show. Cassidy is perfect.
