Probably one of the best video games starting off the year. The combat and platforming is by far the best part of the game. It's fluid and fast, but depending on the difficulty you choose it can be a bit overwhelming and difficult at times. The story is anime inspired, which is fun, and gives off Original God of War vibes. Highly recommend

One of the best metroidvania style games. Loved the story. Loved the asthetic. I liked the exploration, combat, and platforming. I must say though...some of the platforming was a pain in butt, and i mean HUGE pain. You couldn't make a single mistake in order to get those xerxes coins at times. Overall, I loved the game, but a bit of a thumbs down for some of those coins jumps.

What a great Metroid-like! It really lets you explore and figure out the lay of the land on your own, and there is even a setting to limit how much “hand-holding” direction it gives you. Combat is first rate, fast, precise, challenging(recommend the hard setting or greater for experienced players). All the best Metroid-style attributes, with few to no detractions. Only disappointment is that Ubisoft disbanded the team that developed this about 9 mos after it released. I own this on both Xbox series and switch, and it’s really impressive how well it runs on the ancient switch hardware: full 720p60 handheld and 1080p60 docked. Hope you check it out and enjoy.

Im not really a fan of Metroidvania style games but im glad i gave this one a chance. It has some really great mechanics that makes exploration fun. Bought the Nintendo Switch copy to play in portable mode, its nice to pick up and play for a couple of minutes. Game runs smooth and i only encountered one crash but i still gad a great time.

Randomly recieved a $10 credit from BB, so I put it towards this making it only $9.99! Been playing it recently am really enjoying it! I've never really been a platformer/side-scrolling gamer(even like mario I never played alot of) so this is really my first foray in this type of game. There are some cool abilities you gain as you play through the story, and the combat is very snappy! Lots of fun for me, i would suggest playing the demo to get a feel for it, Doesn't spoil the story but lets you see how it all works.

Ubisoft actually made a really solid Metroidvania here. Unfortunately, hardly anyone has played it. Please give this game a shot, Ubisoft hardly makes good games anymore, and this one is actually on the cartridge and not a code in a box.

No, I’m not done with the game. However, even if it ended right this second, I’d still put this alongside any of the best games from the prior year (Zelda, Baldurs Gate, Alan Wake 2, etc). The combat is easy to pick up yet has just enough intricacy to keep it engaging. It feels as fast, fun, and fluid as a game like Hades. Similar to a From Software game, you will visit bonfires, learn enemy attack patterns, and fight epic bosses. Additionally, there are some great quality of life adjustments made to the Metroidvania formula, such as the simple yet so appreciated ability to add screenshots to the map to remind you of why an area is important. Lastly, the platforming is perfect, which checks out given this is from the developers of Rayman Legends. So, what do you get when all is said and done? You get this amazing amalgamation of Hades and Dark Souls and Metroid Dread and Ori and the Will of the Wisps all combined into one game. Oh, and I havent even mentioned the wonderful art direction, which far exceeded my exoectations based on the previews and trailers. It looks much better in-person an an OLED Switch. Dont wait for a sale. Support the devs and buy this at full price. We need more games like this.

I’ve been fan of prince of Persia saga since I played the game in Game boy and still having the cartridge. I played every prince of Persia game since then and this one is not the exception, the game play is a little bit different but feels fresh and remind me the first one so i love it and I’m really happy with my purchase.

Great game, price is really good for what this is, and it's perfect game for the switch. The combat is really fun. You can parry, dodge, and do some neat combos. 10/10 I would recommend this game even at full price.

Great return to the 2D style that the Prince of Persia games originated from... Fantastic mix of graphical beauty, fast paced combat, and exploration in a unique game to the series.

Best 2D game I played to date. It's the latest game I bought and finished it in probably a week because it's a fun game. Other games I bought in the past gets boring and I dont end up finishing them. It's not an easy game tho and the challenges are very tricky. If you want to focus on the story you can tweak the game and skip the challenges. The fun part is you destroy enemies with a killer combo. Upgrade your character. Collect the medalions. Collect all the upgrades. The designs are cartoonish but colorful. If it's on sale grab it now! I grabbed this because Prince of persia are one those old games that gets reinvent and always worth buying.

Game is actually pretty great. From the story to character movement the game is really good. Its 3D but plays like a 2D side scroller like the new metroid prime.

About halfway through the game, but fully recommended. Decent challenge which has made me rage a few times. Plenty of hours of gameplay. If you like exploration, character-action-esque combat with epic boss fights, and platforming, get this.
