Princess Diaries and Princess Diaries the Royal Engagement are two of my favorite Disney Movies. Ann Hathaway and Julie Andrew's are Perfect together. I have watched these 2 movies many times with my daughter. We enjoy them so much.

I am replacing some VHS with DVD that we watch a lot and that are our Fav's and we have enjoyed watching this movie, another one for a great family movie night. Also get #2 to go with set

Our entire family enjoyed this movie thoroughly. Although it will not win an Academy award, it is quite an entertaining, charming, modern fairy tale. Don't miss it. Anne Hathaway (Mia) is funny, quirky, and masters the lip curl quite well in this film.

Princess Diaries is a great movie. It stars Anne Hathaway, (who does an excellent job at her role) as this dorky and clumsy teenager in high school. She's often "invisible" to other students, but get's through eveything with her bff at her side. But even though she had many awkward moments throughout her life, she could never imagine anything more crazy. Until her grandmother (JULIE ANDREWS!!), comes and tells her she's a princess. This is a hilarious film that takes us through her princess training and everyday teenage problems in a funny way. Hope you go and see it! It's a great movie, people of all ages should definately enjoy it!

This was the movie that made collecting Anne Hathaway movies enjoyable for awhile. Andrews steps in and declares that her granddaughter will be a princess. She has a hard time shaping her up as a princess, very comical and sweet tale with love and romance not too strong, but shaken into the mix.

I enjoy both of the films. Enjoyable but not perfect films. The reason I saw both in the first place was to watch Julie's performance. She is perfect in her role as Queen Clarisse Renaldi. Hector Elizondo was also god in his Joseph/Joe role in both films. I hated Larry Miller"s character. It was SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY. I found it hurtful & rude. This special edition is good. You have both the wide screen & full screen viewing options. Extras good. Outtakes, deleted scenes good. The "A New Princess" on disc 2, the "making of" special was good as well BUT MISSING 1 THING. WHERE THE HECK WAS HECTOR ELIZONDO? A staple in Garry's films, why was he not spoken to? That I thought was disappointing not to have that.

This movie offers great acting with humor and a moral. Ann Hathaway is just getting started with her acting and this is a preview of up coming wonderful things she is to do (and has). The veteran actress Julie Andrews is wonderful and adds greatly to the effect the directer was looking for.
