The UHD version, even though it likely was an upconvert, does show a bit more detail than the BD version. Though the colors are pretty drab on the planet, where color is used, it has a nice pop. Sound was great, but would have been nice if it was Atmos.

Prometheus is set in the same universe as the infamous alien xenonomorph (I believe) despite what Ridley Scott says. Prometheus in its own self is a great movie and gets you to think on an existential level a bit at times. Love the plot, setting, and overall directing of this movie. I highly recommend this movie.

The Alien movies continue. This one gives us thought of the possibility that human life is connected with lifeforms outside of our own world. And it continued with that same exciting drive of the previous Alien movies. I found it very entertaining.

I really enjoy this movie, and I wish it would have had a sequel or trilogy made from it. It is an interesting and intriguing twist on the previous alien films, and anyone who is a fan of those movies, will surely enjoy this one.

One of my favorite sci-fi movies and now in 4K! Black Friday is so great for getting the DVDs you love at great prices. It's my favorite thing to do! This origin story is also a great thought provoker and one I will watch several times to just see the highlights.

This one didn't do so well at the box office, but it is a good story, and an extra piece to the Alien story. Love space movies in 4K, and this one is no different. Looking forward to where this franchise will take us next.

This is a pretty good movie. Good acting, I thought the lighting was good and the story telling was good. It kept me interested. Got it at a very good price and thought I'd add it to my collection.

I really enjoyed this film and I hope they continue the story with a sequel. It doesn't have multiple twists and plots but it does have a good heart and an interesting ending that wants me to come back for more.

Whether or not you purchase this 4K disc should be determined by your opinion of the movie. If you don't like it, don't bother; if you like the movie, the disc does a great job of presenting it

This movie looks absolutely stunning in 4k! Demo worthy for sure. If you like this movie, this is a must own! Wow!

I'm not usually a sci-fi fan, but I bought this to experience the effects on our new 82" Samsung Q8 tv. Some of the effects were AMAZING! If you want to show off your 4K, this is a great movie to choose.

Beautiful cinematography, thought provoking story, interesting characters. A lot of people are turned off by the lack of xenomorph style aliens in this alien prequel, but if you can accept it for what it is you may really love it like myself.

I owned this good movie on blu ray. I loved the quality but when I got this 4k version, it literally blew me away. Not only better than the blu ray but even better when it I saw it in the movies.

While Prometheus may not be on the level of Alien, Ridley Scott crafted a gorgeous, thought-provoking piece of science fiction that I have loved since I saw it in the theater. Check it out.

All in all its great! Some scenes are indeed high resolution and 4k. Some other scenes are a little grainy and not truly 4k. Still looks better than Blu Ray but not as good as 3d.

Not the best Alien film in the franchise but it definitely does have a mystery that attempts to keep the audiences hooked. A little slow but the last 20-30 minutes has some interesting scenes

The case itself is great and the discs are easy to remove and put back. Some cases are terrible with that. The 3D looks amazing and is probably the best looking movie so far in 3D. Some people might say Avatar, but considering this is all shot with real people and real sets, it gets more points in my opinion. For fans of the Alien series, this will either spark your interest and give you hopes for a new series based on Prometheus, or you will be frustrated out of your mind by the plot holes. You end up having more questions when it's over than you had before you started the movie. I still enjoyed it, but it's one of those situations where you know they can't piece it all together so it makes sense, so it's hard to be excited for the sequel, but all in all it was a good time. Also, I still haven't even finished all the special features because there are a few hours at least. I saw most of it though and it's great stuff. Very interesting and lots of behinds the scenes footage.

I can't say much about this movie without giving away spoilers. But this movie is actually a precursor to another series of movies. You just don't know it until late in the movie. And everything is better in BluRay ;).

Excellent movie that gives a backstory on the origins of the alien franchise

I loved this movie the first time I watched it and just viewed the 4K version recently. The colors really pop and the overall look is noticeably improved compared to my Blu Ray. I will be watching this movie again and again!!
