    Most Valuable Product for my iPhone6!!!!!!!

    I was a longtime Harmony remote user. I needed another universal remote for our master bedroom and I was looking for options. It was an easy choice between $250 Harmony remote Vs $50 ONLY Pronto. In fact I could get 5 Prontos for $250 and keep one in each room including my kitchen and guest room. Unboxing Pronto and setup with Peel app was so easy for my Panasonic TV, DirecTV box and Apple TV along with Onkyo AVR. After getting used to Room configurations, discovered this cool feature to configure HDMI inputs switching for watching DirecTv or AppleTV. So far the connectivity has been good and experience has been EXCELLENT!!!! Waiting for Apple Watch app...

    I watch a lot of TV and have multiple remotes spread across my living room and bed room. I went to BestBuy to get an Harmony remote but I got 2 Prontos for the price of one Harmony. It's easy to setup all devices(thank god I don't need to enter TV model number). Remote includes special buttons for my Samsung TV. Works perfect with my Roku and Apple TV. Hoping to see an Apple watch app soon.

    I was excited to purchase the Pronto smart remote when I saw that it was on sale for $20 off. The app and remote were easy enough to set up with my TV, A/V receiver, cable box and Apple TV. What I don't understand is why there is not any way to allow the remote to control the volume on the A/V receiver instead of the TV. After playing with the settings for 30 minutes and then checking the support section of the website, I was still unable to accomplish what should have been a simple task. The final straw for me was when I tried to send a bug report from the Peel Smart Remote app, whenever I pressed send, the app kept insisting that I wasn't connected to the internet. Well I was, but just in case, I turned off WiFi and tried using my Verizon data connection - same result. I will be returning this disappointing product back to Best Buy at the earliest opportunity.

      I truly apologize for the issues that you ran into when setting up Pronto with Peel. We experienced this Wi-Fi issue ourselves which seems to be a bug in the app and we are trying to solve this as soon as possible.
      You can also submit support requests through our email address in case you still want to give Pronto | Peel another try: [email protected].

      The problem that you are experiencing with your A/V receiver can most probably be easily solved. First I would need to have a deeper understanding of the issue that you are currently facing in order to give you proper assistance (e.g. are you unable to change the input settings through the app or are the volume buttons currently missing on the remote control screen?).

    Tremendous Device

    I don't understand why a few people reviewing this product have had problems. I found this device to work perfectly. It paired with no issues and was easy to enter my devices into the app. After tinkering with the all the commands to see what they would do, I learned a lot about how the unit functions, i.e.: choosing volume to either work on the TV or your AVR, setting it to change inputs when choosing "Watch TV" or "Watch Bluray". I have also taken it on the road and used it in hotel rooms. It has worked beautifully. It is a fantastic product and I'm considering a second unit for another room or to dedicate it for road trips.

    Was an original Peel fruit remote user but the device stopped working after an iOS update to my iphone. Although it took a while for my complaint to get noticed, Peel did replace it for free with the Pronto- kudos to them, The Pronto works well in controlling multiple devices. Very occasionally,however, it does change my Yamaha A/V receiver input when changing my Samsung cable box channel. I love the channel guides and the organization of content in easy-to-find categories.

    I've been tired of searching for my Apple TV remote so thought I'd give this a try. Just picked it up an hour ago set up was easy and has worked flawlessly so far. Awesome product!

    Better than expected!

    After reading previous reviews, I just bought one in August 2015 and I love it. It has a nice interface for showing what's on at the current moment. Most TVs are able to be programmed. Its pretty much a Universal Remote feature that lets you use your iPhone instead. Its nice!

    Replaces my plastic remotes

    Used the Peel remote in S4/S5 earlier. Switched to iPhone recently and was happy to find Pronto that will work with iPhone. I don't have to go back to my plastic remotes because of changing phones.

    Quick failure

    Programmed the unit last night. There are some glitches in controlling certain devices. I was going to do some manual programming today to resolve them. Unfortunately, the unit is now totally unresponsive and not communicating at all with my iPad. Shut the Bluetooth off on the iPAd and tried my iPhone. Still no go. Reset the app on the iPad to start over. Still no go. Tried the reset button on the device. Still no go. Customer support responded very quickly to my query and suggested turning off Bluetooth on my devices and removing batteries from unit. Still no go. My iPad and iPhone seem to know it is there as it comes up in the Peel app, but they just can't communicate with it. Oh, and yes, I did change the batteries.

    Very Funny !

    It is pretty sad that people have to buy this to get this functionality when my Note 4 has an ir blaster built in. The sad thing is Samsung took it off the Note 5 and Apple has never offered it ! My wifes Note 3 also has it and we both use ours all of the time with the peel app.

    Can't find app

    Not a good start on using this product. One sheet of instructions and at first step can't proceed. When I typed Peel Smart Remote and all variations on Apple Apps, many remote apps come up, but not Peel Smart. Geek Squad is trying to help. This seems as if it's going to be a very difficult set up.

      We support all iPhone model from iPhone 4S and up. Lower iPhone models will not show the app in your App Store.
      In case you want to download the app on your iPad we support all iPad models from 4th generation and up. Here you need to make sure that you click show iPhone apps in the app store.

    Huge Let down

    Peel App has long way to go. I bought for Bluetooth connectivity. Hardware is fine. Software is pathetic. Wait untill it gets better 500 times to what it is now. Stay with Roomie remote or iRule or Logitech (all are WIFI)

    Good product, breaks easily, terrible cs service

    It's unfortunate I have to give at least 1 star in order to write a review. I bought this product awhile ago, and it worked fine in the first few months, as described in the feature details. After the 4 month, the device would no longer turn on my home theatre. Naturally, I contacted customer service, and that's when things got bad. Their customer service replies every 6 days, so you won't hear from them until 6 days after your reply. To top it off, the replies I received from them contained basic questions such as "have you reset your device?" "have you tried manually setting the IR code?". As you can imagine, about 1-2 months easily went by and I still had the issue. Finally I gave up and continued to use the product on my TV, Apple TV and cable box while using the actual remote for my home theatre. Finally, in February of 2016 it stopped working completely. I contacted them, and now, June (yes, 4 months) they're still sending me the same questions and are taking even longer to respond. I'm an engineer, so it's safe to say I'm ok with electronics. The customer experience has been so terrible I am now going out of my way to make sure everyone knows that, if you ever need help with your device, you will have the worst experience while managing to not get your problem solved. The device is a great idea, but if a company makes a product without the customer service to back it up, the product becomes worthless in my opinion. Now it's up to you. Get it if you want, but you've been warned.

    Back to the store with it

    This product looked great and the price was reasonable. Well, very reasonable if it worked. Set up went fine...until I had to select an input for my TV. Took me to a screen where I was supposed to test the input selector function but no buttons or controls present. Did everything I could including uninstall and reinstall from cell phone. No support available except for a ticket system which, if you post to it, says, "We'll get back to you later." or similar. So? Why are these people selling a product that won't perform its own basic functions.

      Sorry for the frustration that you have went through when using your Pronto for the first time.
      Currently, some input settings for certain models are not preset in our database. If you want we can check to have yours added in our database. Another solution is to execute IR learning through the settings. How to do this, is explained in our manual on page 16 (chapter 11): http://getpronto.com/sites/getpronto.com/files/attachments/20150430%20-%20Pronto%20User%20Guide_V03.pdf.

    Just doesn't work

    I bought this with high expectations, but after setting it up, I could never connect to it using my iphone. It's supposed to connect over Bluetooth, but it never showed up. Documentation is virtually non-existent, and frustrating to find either in the box or online. The troubleshooting steps online said to check your phone to see that it was paired with Bluetooth...for me, it wasn't and there was no other steps for troubleshooting. Obviously, this device is not yet ready for prime time. My best advice, don't waste your time and money.

      Hi,
      Sorry for the frustration that you have went through when using your Pronto for the first time.
      The Pronto device will not appear in your iPhone settings as a Bluetooth device as you need to set up the Pronto through the Peel Smart Remote app.
      First you need to make sure that your Bluetooth is turned on on your iPhone. In order to connect with the Pronto you need to open the Peel Smart Remote app, then tap the remote icon in the right top corner of the Live TV screen and tap the option 'Set up Pronto'.

    What a disappointment

    I don't know why I had any expectations, considering this is run by the Peel Smart Remote company. Their remote app is one of the worst out there, so as a result, this device is very difficult to use. On top of it, it doesn't connect with more than one device, which is silly if you're watching TV with more than one person. Would be much better to use WITHOUT the Peel app.
