This is not an expensive toy helicopter but you get what you pay for. I used it as a prize for a game in my mentoring program. The boy who won seems to really enjoy it and all competed hard to win it, so all it wins over the kids.

This is a great helicopter. It flies great and has great maneuverability. I would definitely recommend this product to others. I bought this as a gift for my husband. It's price is not too high and it would well as an indoor helicopter. Definitely a good helicopter for a gift or yourself.

I ended up returning this helicopter twice, it breaks too easily and the battery does not last long as all.

Compared to Air Hogs, this toy rocks!

I love these toy helicopters and have purchased the cheaper Air Hogs at Target for myself and my son... the problem with all of these cheap remote helicopters is that they rarely work good outdoors. The signal from control to helicopter is extremely weak outside... there is a lag in control and the helicopter can barely go 5 feet before it just plummets to the ground. However, indoors, these helicopters really shine!
So long as you have a decent sized living room with vaulted ceilings! Ha! Anyhow... the Air Hogs control poorly, even if manageable, but this Protocol Helicopter is way easier to control and better built. For instance, it has working rear rotor blades and turns on a dime. The Air Hogs don't have working rear rotors, they are just for show.
Just so you know, both Air Hogs and Protocol don't work well outside... even a small breeze will send them flying away. These toys are meant to be used indoors. With that said, this Protocol helicopter is much better in quality and control.

Less than 2hrs before battery is useless...Really?

Overall I was happy with this purchase at first, even though you can't really fly it outdoors (sunlight messes up the IR). However, after about 5 or 6 charge cycles the battery is now dead, and this thing will only fly for about 15 seconds. I didn't expect an epic lifespan, but less than 2hrs is ridiculous....

I guess you get what you pay for, but I at least thought this guy would be decent considering it's the most expensive heli they have at my local store. Very disappointed. Bought it last night and will return it today. If you enjoy r/s's that can't fly straight or more than 10 seconds or even hover, then this is the one for you!
