fun puzzle and strategy game. It can be very challenging in the later levels.

While the Deception series has been around for nearly 20 years now, there still isn't a lot like it, and the previous game in the series, PS2's Trapt, came out a full decade ago. The series puts you in the role of an evil character who is tasked with defending his or her castle from invading aspiring heroes. While your direct combat abilities are limited, you are able to set traps in each room, and most of the fun comes from creating elaborate series of traps. Deception IV and its additional "Nightmare Princess" challenge levels gives the player an almost overwhelming amount of options in terms of traps, and there are several modes that can be tackled. Those who purchased the original version of Deception IV in 2014 might be disappointed with the new version's $50 price tag, but those who held off from last year's game are getting an incredible value. I would strongly recommend this game to fans of niche Japanese games or those looking for a refreshingly different "action" game.

Loved planning and executing traps for your opponents; If you can take the game with a grain of salt, it is super fun. However, you are playing as the daughter of the devil so if that upsets you, stay far far away...

Almost like the PSone version i remember so long ago. It's still fun though.

Super addicting game and a fun new entry in the tecmo deception series

This is the ultimate edition of "Deception IV" includes all IV plus. If you are reading this then you must like the series so buy it now. I also own the ps3 and vita versions!

I forgot all about this game, though I think the original was funner as a demo. This one is not bad, you can still pull off some crazy kills and fun to watch and incorporate stage kills.

If you enjoy Rube Goldberg type shenanigans, this is the game for you. If you already played the initial PS3/Vita release, the added content is pretty entertaining regardless.

Great renewal for the franchise and the series! Glad it finally was ported to the PS4 with extras AND updates!
