    This ultrasonic humidifier is quiet, but the mist that is generated by ultrasonic method does stay in the air for too long and eventually settles onto the floor, leaving the surrounding area completely wet! The wetness was not due to a leak, but the settling of the mist. So if you have a carpet, it will become completely wet after a few hours of use, depending in the humidity level you set! It was thus returned!

    Although the item works well and the cool mist helps the atmosphere, you have to be careful with the water spillage, in addition to water build up in the base.

    I have 2 of the Pure Guardian 12L room humidifiers and both work great. I bought this one because of the automatic freature but it doesn't work as well as the 12L at half the price

    This is a very good humidifier, however there is no way to mute the audible (loud) beeps when making any adjustments - not great if you're using with young children trying to sleep.

    This is a good humidifier and I would have given this a 5 star rating but for the lack of a carring handle on top or either side. Once you put in 1.5 gal. of water the tank becomes heavy. Carring the tank from your water source isn't a problem. But when you have to turn the tank over to install it on the base, then there is a problem at least for me. I am a senior citizen and I don't have the muscle tone like I use too... QC could have or should have thought about this problem. It's hard to take away 2 stars for a 5 star unit but I had to.
