Purple Rain Is a Classic album.One of Prince best Records to date.This has alot of B-sides Rarity's and remix songs.Most of the new tracks are verry long.Its a Nice package to have for the fans of prince.The dvd is a Cool touch to see him back in his prime.

I wish that Best Buy would sell CDs in stores again. I miss going through the music section. My review for Purple Rain, it's an all time classic. I enjoy the extras that this version offers. Worth every penny.

Nothing really needs to be said about the regular Purple Rain album..... it is great! The extras on the deluxe 3 cd edition are definitely worth getting. I especially enjoyed the different single edits and b-sides disc of some of my favorites!

This cd collection is a great deal! The unreleased stuff could have been an entire separate album on its own. The long version of Computer Blue and Wonderful A$$ alone make the entire set worth it. Prince fans need to jump on this.

This is a great package! You get the remastered PURPLE RAIN album, a disc full of outtakes and unused tracks, a disc filled with single edits and B sides AND a full length concert DVD from the PURPLE RAIN tour.

This is one of the best albums ever and the latest release is terrific. Remastered original album, new unreleased songs, alternative versions and a concert performance on DVD. Awesome all the way around!

Worth the money for a remaster of a classic music album by one of the top legunds in music history. The extra B-Sides and unreleased songs added plus the 1985 concert is definitely a bonus and must buy!

This remastered soundtrack is Purple Rain the way Prince wanted it. Everything sounds so clear and amazing. The bonus content is well worth the price. True Prince fans won't be disappointed.

Everything that you want from a deluxe edition--3 cds full of music and a DVD of concert footage. I enjoyed it immensely. I am overjoyed to add it to my library of Prince music and movies.

This remaster helped me remember what a brilliant album this was, and it holds up all these years later.

Prince worked on the re-master for "Purple Rain" prior to his death that doesn't, however, make this definitive edition. While the song selections and additional material is great, the mastering on the CD is very very poor by comparison to the previous vinyl and CD masterings. For fans of the original album, I would suggest the original CD mastering or even the 2014 vinyl remaster of the album as both are dynamic, powerful and work without cranking up the compression (imagine taking a delicious chocolate cake and using a stone to smash it down making it as thin as possible. Is it still the same cake? Yes. Does it taste the same? Not exactly--you can still taste the basic chocolate but the texture (which can be an important part of taste) and some of the other flavors get lost and the stone leaves a distinct flavor altering the taste--that's what massive compression does to music). The detail is fine on this (not a surprise given that compression pushes detail but damages the sound of the music in the process) and the selection of songs and packaging are great. I would give this set five stars for the content, packaging, etc. and 2 stars for the sound. with an average of three. If all you want is the music and don't care how it sounds, this is, by all means, the set for you. Otherwise, get the original vinyl for the album (or the earlier CD) and try and find the b-sides elsewhere.

As a long time Prince fan, I've waited years for the music we never heard. This is a nice taste and a worthwhile addition to the collection. The extended Computer Blue is my favorite.

I wasn't expecting this album and I just happened to see it on the shelf. I grabbed it and I love it. Totally worth it. Sounds great. The video is alright, picture is not the best.

Since I am a huge prince fan and was never able to see him in concert before his death in 2016, I was very happily surprised that this set came with a concert DVD and it is awesome!

This nusic collection is a must have for true Prince Fans! The classic Purple Rain soundtrack along with an additional CD of era appropriate mixes/music and a DVD? Yes, please!

I love my deluxe Prince CD. It had the original Purple Rain CD with 2 cds filled with B side hits and music from the vault. I have been a big Prince fan since For You.

Greatest Album in music history with extra songs and the concert dvd. Love it. I used to have the concert on vhs.

If you are a true collector of Prince you need this version previously unreleased tracks. Has an extended version of Computer Blue that is awesome!
