Customers are saying
Customers highly value the engaging gameplay and compelling storyline of Quantum Break. Many also praised the action sequences, time travel elements, and enjoyable powers. However, some felt the game lacked replayability and had a relatively short campaign length. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics outweighs the concerns about replayability and length.

great Single player story driven game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played through Quantum Break twice and I really enjoyed the story line. The time travelling, time altered story is very fun and cinematic. The TV hybrid format was enjoyable, but different. It was weird to sit back and watch for 20 minutes after playing for an hour. The gameplay felt a bit like Mass Effect, with the cover-based shooting and powers to use that need to cooldown before using again. Being able to make decisions that alter the story line and characters is also similar to Mass Effect. Once you make a decision you have to live with it and let it play out. The graphics are very good, 720p or not. The developers created a unique style to their design and graphics, and it shows throughout the game and succeeds on that front. This was a good game that I was looking forward to, so I did not mind pre-ordering for $48 (Prime member). But if you are on the fence about this game, you may want to wait until it's in the $30-40 range. Very enjoyable, but maybe not worth full retail price. Also, there's no multiplayer, so don't buy this if you are interested in multiplayer or co-op.

Take control of time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You control Jack Joyce in a race against time to stop someone from his past...or is it his future, from bringing an end to the world. Through an accident at a lab, you gain time manipulation abilities that you will use to fight enemies and solve puzzles while making choices in the story that effect the outcome. The game places like a standard 3rd person shooter with a the time control twist. There are also 15-20 live action cutscenes between chapters to keep the player up to speed on what the bad guys are doing. Another great Remedy game! Check it out.

Interesting concept
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was fun to play as it had solid, but not great gameplay but had a neat concept with the story. As you go through the game you will have to make choices that affect the story that is told. Every so often there will be a live action video that tells the story of various characters in the game and can change based on decisions you have made. I played it through twice just to see how things changed. I do not believe a third play through is needed as I have completed all acheivements in the game. If you are into a game that tells a story I would say give it a chance but probably not the best if you are into strictly shoot em ups as those elements are not as exciting as other games that are available.

Really Defining What Great Games Are
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love how this game tells its story. It has items that you collect throughout the game that have additional information about the world should you want to invest the time to read and collect said items. The cutscenes are not animated but done in real life with well known actors as well and are about as long as watching a tv show. Its a nice break from the action and fleshes out the world further. The gameplay is really well done with the only exception being the cover system. It works and its probably just me, but its automatic and sometimes you want to hide behind cover but can't. Other than that the game is amazing and well worth playing.

Decent Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I waited a while to purchase this game because I was not sure if it was worth the money. Turns out that the game play in the first 2 acts is really good. As the game progresses the game play is very similar but gets a little stale with adding all time abilities early.

Really Cool, Unique Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From my review at ShortPause.com: "The most immediately noticeable distinction between Quantum Break and other games is the live-action mini-series that was incorporated into the game's narrative. I found this to be a very well done, refreshing change of pace from typical video game cut scenes. Developer Remedy Entertainment has woven an exciting and enjoyable tale, and the top-tier acting talent involved brings it all together nicely ... Once you master all of your powers and learn when to use them, the combat becomes very fluid and satisfying ... Overall, I thought Quantum Break was an awesome, action-packed game in what will hopefully be a series of adventures. Not only was it fun to play, but the story was excellent, and the live-action episodes were well done and enjoyable to watch."

Not perfect, but I love this game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.720P or 1080P? Who cares! The graphic looks awesome. Time travel story is perfect! Although the game is short, but it's really worth to try.

WOW is all I can say.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not think the Xbox one could produce such great graphics. I will be honest I have been buying all my games on PS4 but seeing as how this is an exclusive I decided to pick it up. I love this game. #1 Graphics-10 best looking game on Xbox One #2 Gameplay-8 This game is fun but not perfect. I do see some lag here and there and sometimes the characters stay stuck. #3 Story-10 One of the best storys I have seen. I love the cut scenes that involve real actors. This was very well made. Bottom line this was a great package. It came with two others games as well, making it an even better bargin.

This game changes the "game"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying, Bravo!! Microsoft studios makes an amazing game! The game is a "game" changer for sure, let me explain. Like many new gen games, this game uses real actors to play the game characters. Your main character is Iceman from x-men and the villain is Little Finger from Game of Thrones. What is different about using actors with this game is that not only do they voice the characters, there is real acting scenes labelled as episodes that tell the story after the first 4 acts of the game. Acts are the parts you play then accompanied by live action episodes that include some great acting and a fantastic story. I am very excited to see future sequels to this game. This game is a must buy if you want a good story.

Great Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having heard many things about Quantum Break since its first announcement up until its release I was unsure of if the game will be everything everyone said it WOULD be. It was a great single player venture with a really good story. Replaying the early levels after beating it really causes you to rethink the whole story. Gameplay is easy and fun. Once you get the hang of the powers you can start chaining them together and get some great action scenes. Gameplay - 4/5 Graphics - 4/5

Interesting Story and Cool Mechanics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm at about 6 hours game time and 40-50% into the game. I like how the cut scenes are actual actors being filmed, giving you a sense of playing a game within a movie (or vice versa). The ability to manipulate time and move faster than others around you is pretty awesome. "Replaying" an event in time to get you over a hurdle is trippy, but pretty cool. Probably doesn't have a ton of replay value but that's fine for me. I'm just going to sell it back to Best Buy and pickup another sweet title!

Amazing game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing game with a top notch cast and interesting time manipulation themed story. Branching decision making trees give replay value and the live action sequences woven into the story make for one of the more unique gaming experiences Iv had in recent memory.

The Best Xbox One Exclusive So Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding game. Remedy, the creators of Alan Wake, have made another fantastic game. The story is awesome, graphics are amazing, and it all controls near perfectly.

Pretty Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quantum Break is a very unique game. It is similar in a lot of ways to the Alan Wake series in terms of gameplay. You play a chapter of the game then watch a live action tv episode based on your choice at the end of each chapter. It flows well, except when the show has a hard time buffering....you can download the episodes but all together it is 85 gb. The time crack visuals are the amazing, the powers are cool, overall it's a pretty good game.

A Genuinely Cinematic Experience (That You Play)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing's first: If you like Alan Wake and/or Max Payne, Quantum Break is a middle ground for those two. It's heavily narrative driven, with VERY enjoyable combat mechanics. I'm not sure I've ever felt so in control of time, in a game. Certainly not in a game with this great of a story; visual and auditory appeal; and flow to the gameplay. The TV show-like episodes between chapters are truly effected by how you play the chapter before, unlocking differing and extra scenes. The TV show reminds me a lot of Fringe -- if you've ever watched it. This is the type of game that makes me happy I own an Xbox One. Buy the game.

Great Scifi story and effects
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game if you like 3rd person action games with heavy story influence. Also, if you're a fan of Remedy's previous Alan Wake games you'll feel comfortable here. I'm on chapter 4 and really enjoying the ride. The game has a ton of little details to follow along the way in the story and the acting is very well done. My only knock is that the game is only in 720P but if you're playing on a smaller display, you probably wouldn't notice anyway.
