I like the balance with the battery on there and also the extra time I get. I thought I could get by without a battery but I would probably be running out before I was done with a session so I'm glad I went with this.

I previously used the MQ2 so that’s my comparison. I’m a middle-aged parent, and this is a great way to play with my late-teens.

It really extends the ability to play and play, and play. When you have multiple people that play on it or if you are on a long quest, this battery can handle it! I was worried that the weight might be a hinderance for my 9yr old, but she has had nothing but positives to say about it.

Plug in/Unplug from the headset a couple times to recognize it, but now it works perfectly! Looked it up, and it seems to be a common issue with these, where it's kinda hit or miss. I had the Elite Strap with Battery for the Quest 2, and that worked immediately so I was kinda disappointed this one took some messing around with/replacing. Also the battery life isn't as long as the Quest 2's version for some reason? The reason I'd recommend this though is first party is always best in case things go wrong, the manufacturer can't blame the user's third party add-ons lol

The estimated 2 extra hours of battery life are great for prolonged gaming sessions!
To answer your questions regarding the battery life compared to the Quest 2 Elite Strap with Battery, is that the Quest 3 consumes more power than the Quest 2 but with a full charge of both headset and strap you should expect around 4 hours of usage. (Depending on what apps are in use.)
