1980S BASEBALL GAMES WERE BETTER. NO ENGINE WHATSOEVER, LESS THAN ARCADE QUALITY. SEEMS LIKE THEY JUST WANTED A BASEBALL GAME FOR THE XBOX ONE AND THREW THIS CRAP TOGETHER OVERNIGHT.

This game is terrible for today's market. The game play is awful. I only suggest getting this game for kids under the age of 10.

Graphics are funky looking and game keeps jamming up with the batter not having a bat to hit with in his hands. Not impressed with it, wish I could return it. Juan

SNES controls & gameplay with XBOX 360 graphics

If your a fan of baseball and desperately want baseball game then just go ahead and buy this game. Simply because your options are gonna be very limited for playing a baseball game on XBOX ONE.
For those on the fence I will say the pitching, batting and fielding are basic and simple like baseball games on the SNES. I could even say the controls are basic like a baseball game downloaded from the Google Play store. It's U,D,L,R for pitching and the batting is just timing the tap of a button. To attempt pulling the hit or hitting the ball the other way is gonna be dumb luck.
Graphics wise they are really underwhelming for an XBOX ONE game and could easily be those XBOX 360 type graphics. Animations are pretty good and the loading speed is above average. The actual gameplay graphics are very basic and definitely nothing special.
Diehard fans of baseball or baseball games should just buy it to get their baseball fix. There really isn't anything else as for options so you'll have to take what you can get.
Average gamers that are considering a purchase just need to lower their expectations because the game doesn't take advantage of the XBOX ONE's abilities.
In closing, it is possible that some gamers may enjoy the simplicity of the game. Especially for those that will be happy having not to deal with pitch types or any kind of timing mechanism within the pitching dynamic.
I reccomend this game for purchase just because the baseball market is so limited and I love baseball. I imagine they didn't put too many bells and whistles within the game or worry about graphics because they don't have any competition in the market. Maybe in 2020 a baseball game will be on the scene that the gaming purists can thoroughly enjoy.

It has nothing new, it has no repetition, it is an extremely boring game
