As the switch does not have a lot of sports games yet I would say that for its price point this baseball game gives you a lot of fun at a very affordable price. especially that its a physical cart at this price. It does not have all the bells and whistles of a more in depth sports title, but sometimes thats a good thing. I enjoy that its more of a pick up and play type of game which really shines when you can play a quick game on the go. I would say pick up this game especially if your a best buy gcu member because with that discount the price vs replay value is very compelling.

I enjoyed the classic R.B.I. Baseball games on the NES, and was surprised to see it had been revived. I was even more surprised to discover that the basic two-button control scheme was still used, allowing my son and I to pick it up and play a game right away. There's no deep simulation here, but I wasn't looking for any. The presentation is a bit bland, and it could be cheaper on the Switch, but the core retro gameplay is intact.

I decided to pick this product because I like baseball and I remember the "good old days" when RBI Baseball was a thing. So, because of the price, and the fact that I would be playing it on the go, I decided to pick it up. Well, I am having a hard time figuring out if I like it or not. On the one hand, it really doesn't look at that great. In fact, it looks barebones. The presentation is pretty much non-existent (no commentary...really??). The game mechanics are super basic. On the other hand, it is portable since I picked it up for the switch, the graphics are passable, I sometimes appreciate the lack of presentation and the mechanics harken to old-school RBI games. All of this makes a game playable in 20 minutes. So, in the end, if you're looking for a all-bells-and-whistles, high productions, simulation type of game, you'll be sorely disappointed. However, if you want a passable, quick and simple game on the go, a 1/2 or less the price than it's The Show cousin, I'd say you'll enjoy it (you must get it on the Switch, though!).

As a child of the 80's and a big time NES gamer, I always loved Baseball games back in the day and the original RBI Baseball was one of my favorites. While this is of course updated, it captures that simple magic from back in the day. Just pick up and play. No need for complex button presses and knowing way more stats and strategies than I care to. If you are looking for hardcore simulation, look elsewhere. "The Show" baseball games on PlayStation systems are outstanding games in that regard and I would recommend those to you. But this game is perfect for Nintendo Switch and the portability factor. And as luck would have it, the only choice at the moment as far as baseball games on the system anyway. The graphics are very basic yes, but the game play is fun and arcade like. If you have internet access you can constantly update rosters to match current MLB teams. You can play exhibition games or seasons and alter lineups. If you just want a little time waster, pick up and play FUN baseball game for Nintendo Switch this is it. It's never going to compete with the Show in terms of graphics and depth but they are not trying to. I'm happy it came to Switch and am really enjoying it so far. A good game at a fair price.

Game is a lot of fun on the portable screen! Fun to play when on the move! Got it on sale so great price and very fun entertaining game!

If your looking for a baseball game on the Switch, well, this game is your only choice. Don’t be scared away by that fact though. It’s actually a decent game. The graphics and gameplay are not perfect, but in all honesty, not many games are perfect. Is this a good sports game for the Switch, yeah it is. Don’t believe all the negative reviews on the game... for the price of it, it’s well worth it. I paid $19.99 for mine (regular price is $29.99).

I purchased this game to take with me on a trip so I could play it in the handheld. The graphics are good but there is no commentary and it’s kind of hard. Although it is pretty close to the classic rbi baseball with improved graphics.

This game was just ok for me. The controls can be a little hard to understand for an arcade baseball game. It is not as easy to control as it's predecessors that I loved so much. I really wanted to play other people on my friends list but It lacks online play. That really bugged me. Also the roster updates that they give you seem to be behind. Still a pretty fun sports game option for the Switch that modern Nintendo systems usually lack.

RBI Baseball is a fun game with all the MLB player stats and features fully updated. Hitting takes a bit to get used to but after playing the game some it starts to get easier.

I read horrible reviews about this game and was reluctant to pick it up. I really wanted a baseball game that I could take on the go and just play a quick game so I was hoping this would fit the bill. There is not much to it and extremely bare bones as a game. Luckily I paid 15 dollars for it so for that price I can live with the flaws for some portable baseball.

Honestly, I love having some type of sports game on the go and this provides it with the Nintendo switch! Grab it when it’s on sale at $19.99!

Bought this for my son because he is starting to get into sports games. He's enjoyed this game. But we just wish that the 2018 edition was out.

I played it on NES in the late 80’s, downloaded to my phone a few years ago and so happy to be able to play it on a Nintendo system again!

It's nice to have a baseball game on the switch. The graphics are okay. The game play is fast-paced and fun. Good game at a good price.

Awesome gameplay and best of all portable for the old school baseball fan like myself

Good Game but a little more difficult than other baseball games that my 8 year old has on other gaming platforms.

For this being your only option to play baseball on the switch it’ll work for the die hard baseball fan. Otherwise just an average overall game experience, with sub par graphics, game sound and basic bottom controls for fielding and hitting. Do not pay full price for this game.
