I ordered my Rachio controller in hopes of demystifying irrigation (when is watering happening, how long has each zone watered, how much water am I using), and it has met my expectations and beyond! Love the app, love the product. Highly recommend it -- for beginners and experts alike!

If you're looking to buy a new sprinkler or replace your old controller this is a great device. Easy to set up and deploy. My yard looks much better. The setup takes so much into consideration. It asks for soil type, grass, slope and much much more. And a local weather station and it understands rain delays.

The setup is super simple. I would recommend making sure there is adequate wireless signal strength prior to purchase. When you set it up, do it indoors where you have the greatest possibility of success and the mount it in its permanent home after setup is complete. You should be good to go.

The smart system is awesome. You can control everything through your phone and it saves money!

I would strongly recommend Geek squad for installation purposes. It’s a great looking product, that is phone app controlled that saves a ton of water and money while keeping your yard looking fabulous. It integrates with Nest system also!

I bought the Rachio to replaced my Rainbird controller. The time display on my old Rainbird was flashing for a while and I tried to fix it by reset (unplug / plug) and replaced the battery with no effect. Replacing and setting up the Rachio took me 15 mins max. What I like most is that I can snap photos of every zone of my front and backyards (which I have quite a few) and assign one to each of the zone. Rachio also allows very descriptive naming of the zones - such as, "Side yard with Neighbor John", "Common Area"...etc. The long names together with the photos allow me to instantly identify the zone that I need to adjust watering times or start a manual watering cycle.

Easy to use with a lot of advanced features if you want to use them. I did not have any problems with the wire connections and I had no problems connecting to the Internet. It's great to be able to use the system with my phone.

Great interface and quick response for scheduling sprinklers.

This system is totally awesome no more going outside to start or end the cycle. No more letting my sprinklers run whenever I'm away from home and most important rebate from the city

This is the smaller version of the Rachio controller, however it doesn't lose any features than it's bigger brother. The only difference is the 16 zones as opposed to the 8 zones.

I didn't expect to save money buying this, but I am. We're watering about half as much and the lawn looks better than before. The system cycles through the zones (watering for less time allowing water to soak in and then coming back and watering again) and skips days when it doesn't need to water... Also, I get alerts and can start and stop things manually if I need to. Install was really easy (just replaced the old unit in a few minutes) ... I could go on and on, but I will just say, if you want more control without having to ever physically approach the controller box, buy this! I'm so glad that I finally did.

I would have given this a 5-star rating, but in order to get all the features out of it you really need to add-on a rain-sensor, and a weather station to accurately detect when it should skip waterings. But overall, it still saved me a lot of money each month on my water bill and paid for itself in about 6 months.

Installation and setup was easy. Adjusting run times or days is a no brainer via app. This is my 2nd unit, for my daughters house.

The app walks you through the set up, and once done, it takes care of the watering schedule. Great not having to guess when and how long to water.

Bought this to replace an old super simple unit that was good at the time of install but way antiquated. This unit is great for set and forget watering and maybe even hit a zone when it looks like it needs it. One of the best features f this unit though was the ability to do my winter blow out without ever touching a valve. No digging out valve covers and switching by hand just walk around the yard and flip valve open with the app and shut the system into standby in about 20% of the time it used to take.

This was very easy to install. The watering adjustments the Rachio before and after rains it makes are great. It works as advertised.

I have had this product at my house for a few years and love it! I Just bought a second home, and installed right away!

We purchased the larger Rachio shortly after it first came out and loved it. However, 9 days after the 2 year mark it's Wi-Fi transmitter died and we had to get a new one. As such, we went with the smaller second generation to save money and we really like it so far.

Very nice looking, easy to install, works like it said it would. Won't waste water when it is raining. I love it!

The unit is stylish and compact. The set up was easy and I had no problem getting it to join my network.
