This was a great movie ...A instant classic! ..Must own the Blu-Ray!

A friend suggested this months and months ago...I was incredibly skeptical and thought "ehhhhhhh i don't know" and i postponed my viewing. I WAS SO VERY WRONG! This movie which comes both subbed and dubbed (but i highly suggest watching it with English subtitles; the English version is a bit cheesy and distracting) The story is simple but intense. the fight sequences are well choreographed and non-stop. The music was well paired- score done by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. It is a must watch if you are a fan of Martial Arts and AWESOME action!! Can't wait to see the sequel in March 2014

I'm a HUGE fan of Steelbooks and Best Buy delivered with this Edition!

The Raid: Redemption is easily one of the greatest fighting movies I have seen. It captures the action with none of the shaky cam that you may see in major motion pictures. The fights are bloody and unapologetic so if you don't want to see something that goes all out, then this ain't the flick for you. The plot is pretty good for an action film. There is soon to be a sequel for the movie(at the time I wrote this), so it would be a great time to pick up this movie and see an action flick that was done right.

This movie must be one of the best action movies of this decade. The fighting sequences were amazingly performed (as the actors were actually TRAINED so they wouldn't use stunt doubles). The story is also great, and it builds some suspense. And we can see that the protagonist is actually "human" in this movie, not like modern action stars, who fall from a window and they just keep walking like everything is ok, but the protagonist in this movie is actually hurt, and it is good to see a character that expresses that feeling of vulnerability in the screen. If you are an action movie fan, and you are looking for an action movie that actually delivers amazing action, buy this, you won't regret it.

This modest film concerns an Indonesian SWAT team in Jakarta that sets off to take down a housing project run by a major crime kingpin. Most of the team is slaughtered and it's up to a few survivors to finish the job. The plot and it's development is not exactly The Raid's strongest element. There are some twists and turns but what really makes this film worth checking out is the action. It's violent, bombastic and thrilling in the same way that John Woo's early bullet ballets were. This is the perfect flick for a man cave matinee.

If you're a fan of action movies and haven't seen this, call your doctor immediately because you have a sever case of what's-wrong-with-you-isitis. The Raid is hands-down one of the most invigorating and thrilling action movies to date and is worthy of multiple viewings. The plot is similar to that of another classic--Dredd--in that the protagonist must make his way up to the top of an apartment building to stop the bad guys. One fight in particular seemed to go on for about 6 hours with the baddie not slowing down, but all the fights are pretty brutal and cringe-inducing. Amazing choreography and a no-holds-barred approach to action filmmaking make this one to remember.

This was a very good movie. Extremely action packed.

Well if your ready for the most unrealistic martial arts movie of all time, watch this, which lets be serious is way more entertaining. Classic tale of a swat team raiding a building with less men than necessary and hi jinx and sue from there. Forget martial arts for a second, if the police had this level of conditioning in real life i would start to question weather or not they were actually the clones from judge dread. Fight scenes can go 10 or 15 minutes in this movie and its enthralling. Its a Must watch. Don't watch it dubbed or you'll wish you could jump off the building there raiding in the movie

Rama is a cop. He's a great guy and very good at his job. He's also part of a SWAT team in Jakarta that's about to have a terrible day. They're tasked with bringing down a gang lord who runs his businesses out of an apartment complex. The entire building is overrun by the gang and it has been impossible to get them out. They're up against insurmountable odds yet the team fights to rid the building of the gang. Soon, their presence is noticed and they're hunted. Twists and turns abound, fight scenes are brutal and bloody, and it's just fun. If you're an action fan, you'll want this. Pick up the sequel, too. Trust me.

First time I seen this movie I came across it on Cable. Subtitles only I'm like let me see what this is all about. 20 minutes later and I wouldn't have even care if the subtitles were there. I knew what was going on and I loved every second of it. Dubbed I seen a short time later and was very good just not the same. Either way it is a 5 star must have. Months pass and I see this in BB for 9.99. I would have paid double. May have the best fight I have ever scene in it to boot, definitely Top 3. You will know it when you see it. Amazing movie go out and get it You won't blink for 90 minutes.

If you like action films and fights & you haven't seen this film, stop reading this and go buy this movie. The raid is one of the most brutal up close action films created with amazing fight choreography. Yes, it's a foreign film, but most of the story is conveyed thru action. This is one of those movies you have in your collection and show other people. "What, you haven't seen The Raid? Here, watch this". The sound mix on this disc is very good. The picture is on par with modern movies, and the extras are your usual fare.

I read the reviews of this Blu Ray disc online and I saw good reviews and high recommendations. I also realized this is a Sony distributed disc , so the chances are good. I am glad I purchased this from Best Buy and I really enjoyed the movie. It is one of the best action movies I have lately seen. It is a well-done, 2-hour non-stop action film and also it has an excellent score that really goes well with movie. Best Buy price was right and I highly recommend this movie.

If you're buying this you probably already saw it in the theater or heard about it from someone. If you have no clue what its about but love high octane gunfight and hand to hand combat then this is for you. My advice is do not get the dubbed version. Movies like these need to be seen in their original form. If you miss something because of reading then just rewind it.

One of the best martial arts films I have ever seen. It is a foreign film and is dubbed for English, but it doesn't take away from the amazingly done fight choreography. The plot is good, but not a lot of twist or turns. You can kind of predict which way everything is going to go. Still an impressive action film for those who love the genre. I also here there is a sequel in theatres so there has to be some kind of following.

The plot is not the focus in this movie, but that's no reason to cast it aside. The fight choreography is amazing and the characters are all pretty interesting for how simple the story is. Note, the story IS simple it's just a basic framework that the fights are based around. That's not to say that the story is BAD, it's just not gonna change any lives. That aside, I love this movie. The cast is great, the fights are AMAZING, and the concept is so to the point that I wish more action movies would follow this clean cut example.

I kept hearing about how this film and it's sequel were supposedly two of the best action films in years, and I finally got around to seeing it. It is fantastic. It's also the first big chance for Indonesia (the film is Indonesian) to showcase pancet sillat (sp?) the country's native martial art. The action (martial arts and guns) is almost non-stop and brutally amazing. Excellent film.

Do you like the hallway fights on Netflix's Daredevil? If you do, your in luck because this is an entire movie of that. This is one of the most well choreographed, high adrenaline action movies I have ever seen. Just make sure you put the audio into its original Indonesian track with subtitles when you watch it so you don't have to watch a god awful English dub.

This movie is top on my list for martial arts action scenes. It is raw and often brutal. Amazing fight choreography. When watching movies like these, I'm not expecting much in terms of plot, of which for this film is standard and cliched. With that said, I highly recommended this film if you enjoy martial arts movies. The Steelbook is also a nice bonus for collectors.

This movie is one roller coaster of a movie. The action is great and the story line keeps you watching. This movie shows off some great fight movies that you almost rarely see in the big screen. If you like gun fights and cqb fighting. This is a must watch!
