    This is a great game if you like classic shooters. The graphics are so detailed compared to the 16-bit era, which can make it difficult to see what's going on the tiny Switch screen.

    The Raiden franchise is a venerable shooter franchise that has been around for a long time and this is a fantastic new version of the game.

    Given how much less powerful the Switch hardware is than the PS4 or the XBox One, that Raiden V runs jus about as well here as it does on the more powerful systems (albeit with the removal of some of the more demanding lighting effects) is impressive. What's disappointing is that the Switch version could've implemented a tate mode, which would have more than compensated for the pared-down graphics; it's a shame they didn't. The 'cheering' mechanic is also totally bizarre and at odds with the entire Raiden aesthetic. What a weird choice.

    I used to spend my whole allowance on these games at the bowling alley. The updated look and feel of the game hooks in the same way. Get it before it's gone.

    This is a fairly old game franchise and is pretty well known to people who like bullet hell shooters. This one doesn't disappoint. The levels are just about the right length to keep you interested but not make you feel like your not making any ground. If you like shooters you definitely gotta pick this one up.
