Could go without the weird "jumpiness" track to track - doesn't really flow like an album. There are some gems, and quite a few hooks that you will hear for years to come,

    Too Much Hype

After my first listen to this album I was very disappointed. But it has two outstanding songs on it, so I gave it another chance. There's the catchy hit-single that everyone has heard, "Get Lucky." But there's also another very interesting track, "Giorgio by Moroder," which reminds more of that spacey sound that made Daft Punk famous in the 90s. Overall though, there are not enough great songs to live up to the hype. Of course, I'm no expert in dance music, so it might be for others.

Don't know how they won so many awards! Sounds like a bad attempt of jazz music. Strange mix of songs. Save your money and download the the one good song with Williams on it.

I was so excited for this cd especially since the Tron Legacy soundtrack was incredible and the single was fantastic. Too bad the rest of the cd is awful.

If you can get a preview of the album than I would do so. There is maybe 1 good song on the whole album. The rest will put you to sleep.

Good Album, Not Discovery Pt. 2

Let me start off by saying I am a huge Daft Punk fan and not a professional critic. I really like this album, I have now listened to it 8 or 9 times in full as well as particular tracks numerous time. After my first listen through I was disappointed, I wanted the magic that is Discovery but this is not that. After accepting that fact I grew to really like this album. It has some truly epic robot voices we were all waiting for, disco groove, and killer drums. The only problem, in my eyes, is that due to the large number of collaborations and musical stylings that are used the album doesn't really flow well from start to finish. Favorite Tracks: Instant Crush, Giorgio by Moroder, Lose Yourself to Dance, Doin' It Right, and Contact Final Thoughts: This is a must buy for all Daft Punk fans.

I like the album but if you are familiar with the sounds of previous albums this is totally different. There are a couple of upbeat tracks but the rest is comparable to chill out or lounge music.

First off, thanks Best buy for the 2 dollar off coupon, making the album cheaper then itunes and amazon. Secondly, the album is great...production is clean it is very retro, as if Daft Punk traveled back to the 70s and made a record then. Daft Punk has never done the same thing, they are always changing their style, if they never did they would be boring. Standout tracks: Doing it Right, Contact, Instant Crush, Touch...

Didn't even know that Daft Punk had a new album coming out and I really haven't listened to them since seeing a few of their songs featured in animated videos on Cartoon Network's Toonami a good decade or so ago. Mainly picked it up because some of my friends and coworkers were raving on it but I also wanted something new to listen to. Overall, it sounds good. Nothing that stands out like "One More Time" or "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger", but it wasn't bad. Easy listening to. I try to listen to new albums while playing games to gauge how good it is. If I start paying more attention to the CD than the game, then it's a winner. Didn't quite reach that level for me, though. Long time fans will be happy. I'm happy to have a little more techno in the collection.

    This is one great album!

For starters, The last Daft Punk album I listened to was for the movie "Tron" so this album is a huge step up. So when I heard that the cool helmet duo was back I was completely stoked. Not only did this album exceed all my expectations, it also managed to remind me why I fell in love with them in the first place. The first single I heard of this record was "Get Lucky" and it just made getting this album that more astonishing. So if your not sure about getting this album, don't think twice, i promise you won't regret it. It is a good buy, even if your just starting to get into electro-pop, EDM it will go great with your music collection

Goes back to the good ol' days of electro funk

Let me start off by saying that I have listened to daft punk since I was a kid. I have always been a huge fan. This personally reminds me of their jazzy/funky/electro style that I love. I'm not a huge fan of funk or jazz, but they make it work soooooo well. This is definitely a CD that I will be keeping in my car after I download it onto my PC. Greatest commute music ever! I strongly recommend that anyone who even remotely likes daft punk to pick it up. This is a very solid release and they don't ever let their stuff get stale. 5/5, get with the jive.

Every time I forget about how great music can truly be along comes Daft Punk. This entire album is a love letter to the rich history of dance music and should be considered a masterpiece. The collaborations are top notch and the instrumentation is beautiful. If you don't love and appreciate this album, I truly feel sorry for you.

Super chill and lots of Disco

Daft Punk fans were begging for their classic electronic sound but oh my god their take on 70's Disco and Funk music is flawless! It still contains a bit of electronic sound though. Perfect Album although some parts are a little cheesy, the album as a whole is exceptional. If you want only electronic music on this album its not for you but if your a fan of 70's and 80's music absolutely get it. Although it sounds vintage it still holds a modern sound. And trust me there is vocoders....

The hype surrounding this album was huge and I can be safe to say it lived to it. This is one of Daft Punk's best album tied with Discovery. They took a very drastic turn with a more disco vibe for RAM compared to their other albums but it came out fantastic.

    Great Funky album

This album is great. I like some funky rhythms that many people can relate to, and mix that with some electronic music. its the best of both worlds. No longer they say the music of today's aren't like they used to be back in the day. It's a fun album.
