Ratchet & Clank for the PS5 is an absolute joy to play! I took the time to complete all the weapons and collect every collectible, and it was so rewarding. The gameplay is fun and engaging, with stunning visuals that truly shine on the PS5. The story is charming, and the action is thrilling—it’s not just for kids! Even as an adult, I found myself completely immersed in the world of Ratchet & Clank. The creativity, humor, and satisfying progression make it an unforgettable experience. This game is an absolute blast from start to finish. The visuals are stunning, the gameplay is fun and addictive, and the story is surprisingly engaging. I can't recommend it enough! Regardless of where someone got their start with the series, whether it be the 2016 Movie/PS4 game, or been with the series since 2002. I think there's something for every era of Ratchet fan here! The gameplay's the most polished it's ever been, while also being deeper than any other game in the series with more dodge options & verticality involved. Weapons are just as crazy, worlds are just as beautiful & characters are just as charming! Easily one of the best games in the R&C series!

I loved these games as a kid back in the PS2 era, and wasn't completely thrilled with the PS4 remake of the original game - but luckily, this entry is a magnificent return to form, and I'm so so so glad I finally found a PS5 and got to play it. This game rocks, it's absolutely fantastic, pretty darn close to a 10/10 from me. The visuals are so good that, to me, they're actually better than the Ratchet and Clank movie from a few years ago. Not the PS4 game, the movie itself; Rift Apart looks so amazing in motion that it's actually even better than that, in the ~90fps performance raytracing mode. The weapons are also really good, there isn't a single bad one in the entire game. I found myself switching between pretty much all of them as I unlocked them, there isn't really an "old reliable" you stick with, the game makes you get creative. I'm an adult not far from 30, obviously I'm not in the core target demographic here. But nonetheless, on the hardest difficulty, I still found a pretty good amount of challenge here, and almost couldn't stop playing. Honestly this game is just so good, I'm impressed how they could make this game appeal to such a wide variety of gamers from kids to people well into adulthood. The story isn't as cynical as the old PS2 games were, but I think that was on purpose, and the story and characters that are here are still really good and in their own right. I really like Rivet as a new co-main character and I hope they keep her around in the next games. This is easily the best game in the entire franchise. If they ever release it on PC I will buy it again at full price, and I'm extremely excited for what they've got in store for future entries from here.

The Ratchet and Clank PS4 game already felt like playing a Pixar movie at the time. Rift Apart on the PS5 kicks things up another level. The level of detail on characters, the environment, particle effects - it's hard to imagine this kind of graphical feat being possible last generation. By now, Ratchet and Clank games have a well-established formula. You'll traverse various planets using a myriad of gadgets, while blasting enemies and upgrading a creative assortment of weapons. In terms of innovation, the weapons this time around have great distinctive feels, especially with the PS5's adaptive triggers providing additional functionality. There's a weapon that bounces a projectile off the same enemy with each press of the trigger. There's one that shoots drills underground to jump out at foes from afar. There's another that turns enemies into hedges. The weapon upgrade grind is much more forgiving this time, so maxing out your entire arsenal isn't much of a chore if you're inclined to do that. I felt that having maybe one or 2 more planets to explore would've been great, but what's already here is also plenty to explore. Planets are large with optional objectives and areas. They're quite varied from one another. The Rift mechanic is essentially a glorified teleportation device, but nevertheless fun to use and handy in combat and platforming. You'll switch between 2 characters who play almost identically to each other. As with the PS4 entry, Ratchet and Clank are quite bland characters. The series has taken on a wholesome tone that caters well towards a younger crowd but may disappoint fans of the crasser PS2 titles. That being said, you'll still feel invested in the characters, and plot events will unfold that make it hard to put the controller down. I just hope the obsession with Dr Nefarious dies down. It's time the series introduced new compelling villains.

One of the most fun games I've played in a few years. Honors the older games in gameplay and story, while being optimized to take ultimate advantage of the PS5 and DualSense controller. Love the lack of loading times and ingenuity in the weapons and traversal. 11/10!

Amazing game and brought me back to my child hood a bit. My son and wife lived watching me go kid mode on this game and get so into it. There is a lot more story to the new one obviously which makes the price worth it and it's replayable.

The game is amazing and fun in terms of graphics, gameplay, and story, but fairly short. For that reason, I would wait until there's a significant discount before purchasing (it seems to be on sale quite often).

Been playing this game since the PS3. It looks gorgeous on the PS5. In fact this and Astro Bot are must have's if you own a PS5. These games truly showcase what the PS5 can do. Must have and highly recommended.

If you’re looking for a game to showcase some of the stuff a PS5 can do this is a perfect title. Loading times are non-existant, the graphics are amazing, and the framerate on performance mode looked and felt like a locked 60fps. The game controls are responsive and the haptics are cool. I did not use them but a bevy of accesibility options are available. Now as a Ratchet and Clank game, however, I think it was wuite middling. It was a bit on the shorter side and even on higher difficulties there was not much of a challenge. Even worse is some of the sillier guns requires beating the game first just to play with them. And speaking of silly, there just wasn’t a lot of funny moments compared to previous entries which I attribute to the story juggling six characters constantly.

Unbelievable graphics and smoothness in performance mode. Probably one of the best and most polished games I’ve ever played regardless of platform. Actually laugh out loud funny at points and great story. I’ll be playing this game through again soon.

While this game may be relatively short depening on who you’re asking, with my playthrough with just the story, not the side-missions or collectibles, was around 10-12 hours. Anyways this is an incredibly fun experience; with Pixar quality animation in the cutscenes, a colorful cast of both heroes and villains , engaging combat and gameplay, and a simple yet action packed story, this installment in the Ratchet and Clank series is well worth the $70 price tag.

The game was very fun and it was the first time playing it. The physical game was nice to have and was cheaper then buying it in the platstore. The graphics are stunnning and game play can have some glitches. For me the railway would not apear after a world change. I died alot until I looked it up and saw the game was not working right.
