    Not for Music

Razer really let me down on these. Gaming-wise they sound ok and are very lightweight, BUT not for music. No matter how you adjust the settings in enhancements, THX, or equalizer the sound is awful. They made Disturbed sound like Brittney Spears, the normal bass hits are changed and sound tin canny. I would pass on these if you stream music.

This was rated top gaming headset right now by a few notable websites, even though the pros aren't really using it. Regardless, I was expecting a great headset after my $200 Steelseries broke within a year at the single cheap, plastic connection point between the earpiece and headband (while the rest is a bougie metal alloy... go figure). However, right out of the box, it had a physical connection problem. First, I checked to see if it was my Windows settings. It wasn't playing out of the right speaker when the mic wasn't installed. Then it stopped doing it either way. Only upon squeezing the left earpiece or pressing it against my head did it work correctly. Some sort of loose connection it seems. Perhaps I could have found a sweet spot where it would have stayed working, but being that it's brand new, no thanks. Their QC department must have really slipped. From what I understand, from a YouTube video doing the 6 month durability review, these are not very consistent quality wise. It's like a toss of the dice. If you decide to get these, good luck. I, on the other hand, am switching to the HyperX Cloud II, which is the same price (actually cheaper since it is on sale), and is the set most used by the pros by far. The wired version. The wireless version is second place on many of the aforementioned websites though, if you've got the bucks to give them a spin.

As a semi pro gamer and streamer this headset was not good at all especially when playing rainbow six siege you could barely hear gunshots in the game and not to mention sound was pretty delayed. Now before you say “did you install the synapse app yes I did and it didn’t make a difference no matter how much I messed with it. The headset just couldn’t compete with this. As a streamer and semi pro you want the best of the best and this headset is not it and I was right about razer. The headset was very nice and comfortable but that was the only good thing that came from it. If you’re reading this review and are in the shops for buying a good quality headset for a fair price like this one go with the hyperx cloud mix or the steel series arctic pros. Good sound quality and good microphone quality.

This is my second time purchasing this product and I've had the same problem with both items. I cannot get the mic to work no matter what I do how hard I try I cannot get the mic to work. It is quite annoying as I had the pro version before this the wireless version and it worked just fine I never had any issues with it but I wanted to go wired as I've switched to PC gaming and wired headsets to give better sound quality. I figured I liked the product so much and I had the nicer one so the cheaper one shouldn't be an issue but I've gone through two both of which I cannot get the mic to work on. Very disappointed is the sound quality is superb.

Fantastic headset, the usb sound card is great, and if the cord between them breaks both of them are instantly useless garbage. Razer does not do any repairs, designs the cord to be unable to be repaired manually or by 3rd party repair shops, and you cannot replace the cable with a new one. If one piece breaks, they want you to buy a whole new bundle. If you are buying a wired headset, the absolute biggest recommendation I would have is to get one with a detachable cord and look up beforehand how easily you can buy a replacement cord if needed. It is a really nice headset while it works, though.

Nothing really great about this headset. The sound quality is quite subpar and the volume is noticeably low which doesn't help much especially if you play a shooters game and need to hear footsteps. It's not a particularly comfortable headset neither. It looks cool but not enough to justify everything else being at or below average. I was disappointed with this product on day 1 and returned it shortly after. It's mindscratching how everybody online is thrilled with this headset.

I purchased this headset and it didnt even last me 2 years before getting damaged. I got it replaced, got another warranty and here I am, yet again, with a damaged headset and it not even lasting 2 years. I will be buying a completely new brand because this is NOT it. Stay away

Piece of junk! I have purchased 4 of these and the cord gets damaged and they are not able to replace just the cords on all four of them! I have to throw away over $500.00 worth of headphones! Will never buy from this company again!

I had a corsair HS60, a $60 headset before this one which was leagues better. I cannot understand why people like this headset, the sound is muffled and ruined, the software does little to change the settings.
