I’ve had three previous Razer keyboards because they and Corsair are consistently top tier for their target audience, and that is GAMERS. For years, keyboard enthusiasts who are enthusiasts first bash on Razer keyboards for not being good enthusiast keyboards. That’s never been the point. Until now. Historically, I’ve never been willing to compromise my very low latency and response time in exchange for something as subjective as “thock”, but I was curious about custom boards because they can continually be reinvented to your liking. Sounded fun. My Huntsman Mini with linear optical switches was my go to for gaming because it had decent response time, and allowed me to retain most of my mouse mat for FPS. My Pro Type Ultra was actually faster than most keyboards on the market, and on par with Razer, Corsair’s best (1.5ms latency), but it didn’t get much use except for Excel and work because of its size. This keyboard brings the arrow, function keys back while not taking much more space than my 60% board. The perfect size for many users, unless you need a 10 key pad. It’s blistering fast, highly customizable in RGB, Key Mapping, Macros. It’s comfortable to use for work and play. I strongly disagree with the people complaining about the wrist rest. It’s a dense, plush foam. I can’t imagine disliking it unless I was a constantly sweating person. But even still, I don’t make much use of it. The keyboard feels just fine without the wrist rest, unlike my previous keyboards. As far as custom keyboards go, this is new to me. I can’t comment on customizing the board yet, because I was so pleasantly surprised with the orange tactile keys in both feel and sound that I wasn’t missing my silent linear keys whatsoever. The typing sound is pleasant, and did immediately remind me of the tone that I’ve often seen shared from keyboard enthusiasts on YouTube. Even as a novice, I know Razer keyboards have some keys with scratchy or hollow sounding notes, and that is indeed the case with the space bar and Enter key. As others have noted, you can fix this with CUSTOMIZING the board with different stabilizers and lube. I think the Razer haters / keyboard enthusiasts will still hate this. They’ll say it’s much more expensive than their Keychron or other custom boards. They’re missing the point, as they always have with Razer. Razer is a gaming brand first. Keychron has been a keyboard brand first. So if you’re weighing a gaming keyboard against that, yeah it’ll seem overpriced. If you’re a gamer that doesn’t want to compromise on gaming performance but would like to customize it over your course of ownership, or you’d like to be able to easily repair it upon switch failure, you can’t go wrong with this. The criticism for Razer’s switch prices is also misguided. The point of a custom keyboard is you aren’t forced into one brand’s switches. Three pin and five pins from most brands will work just fine. Is it a premium price? Of course it is. Razer has always been that way. But if you’re a Razer / gaming enthusiast, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. As far as criticism goes, I’ve already noted the larger keys would’ve benefitted from different stabilizers and more lube. The criticism I saw another reviewer put against Home and End being tied to a Fn subset is valid, but I’m not returning mine over it. Razer could easily address it with Synapse updates. The side under glow is too understated in my opinion. Could’ve used more LEDs or wider lens for more light diffusion. It’s a great, but expensive keyboard for any hardcore gamer looking to dabble in custom keyboards. If you’re not a Razer fan, or if you’re a casual gamer, or a keyboard enthusiast, I’d suggest considering other options before this, purely from a price standpoint.

After purchasing the razer huntsman mini for over $120, I thought I would never buy another Razer keyboard again-- the keyboard had loud, annoying, and unlubed clicky switches, the stabilizers were poorly installed, and the worst part is that even if I had wanted to fix the keyboard up, I couldn't. Upon walking into Best Buy and trying this keyboard, I fell in love: the sound and feel was superb, the board comes stock modded with foam and tape, pre-lubed tactile orange switches, it is hotswappable, has signature razer rgb backlighting, and the quality is insane. I have thoroughly enjoyed using this keyboard and am happy to continue using it for my gaming.

Glad its hot swap as i am not a fan of tactile switches i put akko speed switches in mine and love it takes custom coiled cables from cabke mod and i am already a fan of the razer eco system and the rgb is bright somthing that i feel is lack luster in the custom keyboard market i knkw south facing leds give issues with chustom keycaps but i have never gad any issues with it. Now using the akko switches and xvx pudding keycaps its soft feeling and to me sounds like lego bricks being built in lego games. The cushion arm rest is also cumfotable. I havnt used the 8000 hrz polling i dont play any ganes that i would notice it in but all in all for a keyboard that you can customize i feel its a defent price compared to other offerings on the custom keyboard market you do have cheaper good options but again the razer eco system lighting the custom tape mod i think make up for it. I would deffintly take it over a gmmk pro which is 150 more you can go cheaper for a keycron or a epo maker but i feel you loose some of the cleaner stuff that razer does. And if you want a wireless there is the asus azoth but hands down i think the razer is better slightly than all the others being in between the prices and having some the best keyboard modes already in the board and i will say i may mot be a fan of tactile switches for gaming i do really like the razer orange switches for typing and if i had to use them i would but i dont cause its a hot swap keyboar

I enjoy this keyboard. Razer has done a good thing in creating this one. the Razer Blackwidow v4 feels and sounds great! i do keep having issues with some of the keys not working 100% how they should be. some will not work at all in game and prevent me from finishing tasks, others will double type and stutter to input. never had this issue before this exact keyboard, as i’ve returned mine a couple times and bought others with the same issues.

I have used many keyboards, especially razer keyboard. I have never, in my life been this happy with a keyboard. I am not even one to write reviews but this product is THAT good. I would rate it six stars if I could. These orange switches are easily the best switch I have ever used in any keyboard ever. The space bar on this keyboard might be the most satisfying thing to press on the planet. If the price isn't a problem for you this keyboard is FLAWLESS. 11/10, incredible.

This is definitely my favorite keyboard. Ive found most other mechanical keyboards obnoxiously clicky or overly sensitive and mushy, this one hits the spot so perfectly and the aluminum gives it such a premium feel, really love this thing. Im not big on rgb but the lighting in this is so nice i ended up making it the main feature of my little gaming corner, so thats a plus too.

I have used Razer keyboards for the better part of 8 years and I have to say they really hit it out of the park with this one. It feels extremely sturdy, well built, and premium. It looks and functions extremely well. I am also a fan of the orange switches as it’s tactile enough to know you are typing the correct keys but also quiet enough as to not be a nuisance when typing a paper for school. It is a steep price but it is well worth it.

I recently got my hands on the Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Wired Gaming Keyboard w/ Hot-Swappable switches in white, and I can confidently say it is one of Razer’s best keyboards they have made to date. As a big gamer, finding the perfect keyboard has been a search, and the BlackWidow V4 has to be one of the best 75% gaming keyboards out there. First and foremost, the design of this keyboard is stunning. The sleek white finish gives it a modern and elegant look that instantly stands out. The compact 75% layout with media buttons, volume rocker provides a perfect balance between functionality and space-saving for my desk. The build quality is exceptional with an aluminum top casing and plastic bottom that feels very durable. The wrist rest that comes with it is one of the softest I’ve used and the built-in magnets allow it to sit flush firmly on the keyboard without moving. Razer has finally noticed the popularity in custom keyboards and with the BlackWidow V4 75% they are finally dipping their toes into the waters of the custom keyboards market with this being their first hot swappable keyboard. This is a nice addition and is greatly appreciated. The Orange switches that come on this keyboard are very nice for both typing and gaming. They provide a nice tactile and thocky keystroke, making each press satisfying and responsive. Whether I’m typing out an E-mail or playing a fast-paced first person shooter game, the switches deliver a consistent and responsive experience. The stabilizers come pre lubed for a better travel on the bigger keys but the switches do not lubed which is a little disappointing (but realize this would add to the cost for a little more performance.) The hot-swappable design is truly a game-changer, and allows you to customize your keyboard further to your liking. I had some extra keycaps from an old keyboard build and added them to this keyboard for my WASD and space bar just for fun. Swapping switches is effortless, with the two-in-one keycap and switch puller that is provided in the box. Razer is known for its excellent RGB lighting, with the ability of being able to customize it to your specific liking in the Synapse App. The individually customizable RGB shine through backlit keys are not only some of the best RGB I’ve seen on a keyboard, it's also visually stunning. The RGB on the sides of the keyboard is also a nice touch for that added flair. In the Synapse App I can assign different colors to specific keys, which I love for certain PC games, so I'm not always having to pause the game to see which keys do what all the time and not having to constantly do the trial error. You can also set this up for specific game profiles, where the lighting will change based on the gaming you are playing. Overall, the Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Wired Gaming Keyboard with Hot-Swappable switches is a gamers dream come true keyboard. Its stylish design, the Orange switches, hot-swappable switches, and customizable RGB lighting and macros make it one of the gaming keyboards on the market. If you’re looking for a great 75% gaming keyboard that not only looks amazing but also delivers excellent responsive performance, you can't go wrong with this one.

As a dedicated tech enthusiast, I was thrilled to get my hands on the Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Wired Orange Switch Gaming Keyboard with Hot-Swappable Design in White. Razer has a reputation for producing high-quality gaming peripherals, and this compact gaming keyboard is no exception. While it excels in many areas, there are a few shortcomings worth noting.Let's start with the positives. The design of the BlackWidow V4 is sleek and stylish, with a clean white color that will complement any gaming setup. The 75% layout strikes a balance between functionality and compactness, making it a great choice for gamers and professionals alike. The standout feature of this keyboard is the hot-swappable switch design. This means you can customize the typing experience by swapping out switches without soldering or desoldering. It's a fantastic feature for those who like to experiment with different switches or those who want to replace a faulty one without much hassle. The Orange switches on this keyboard offer a tactile and satisfying typing experience. They're not too loud, making them suitable for both gaming and office work. Typing on this keyboard feels comfortable and responsive, and it's clear that Razer has put a lot of thought into the switches. The customizable RGB backlighting is another highlight. Razer's Chroma RGB lighting is known for its vibrant colors and extensive customization options. You can personalize the lighting to match your mood, gaming setup, or even sync it with your favorite games for a truly immersive experience. The build quality is solid, and the keyboard feels durable. It's built to withstand intense gaming sessions, and the keycaps are double-shot PBT, ensuring they won't wear down quickly. The detachable USB-C cable is a nice touch for easy portability. And here's the great news, the keyboard does come with a wrist rest! The wrist rest is made of a very soft cloth material, adding a layer of comfort to extended typing or gaming sessions. This thoughtful inclusion greatly enhances the overall user experience. Now, let's address the remaining shortcomings. The absence of dedicated function keys might be a deal-breaker for some users. While the compact layout is convenient, it comes at the cost of some missing keys, which could be inconvenient if you frequently use these functions.Additionally, the absence of a broader range of compatible switches for the hot-swappable design could be improved in the future to offer users even more versatility in customizing their typing experience.Overall, the Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Gaming Keyboard is an excellent choice for those who want a compact, hot-swappable keyboard with a tactile typing experience and customizable RGB lighting. Its minor shortcomings, such as the lack of dedicated function keys, are outweighed by the inclusion of a comfortable wrist rest. Razer continues to deliver quality gaming peripherals, and this keyboard is no exception, earning a solid 4-star rating for gaming and productivity enthusiasts.

First things first: This keyboard is beautiful right out of the box. Just by holding it, I can tell that a lot of thought went into the design language. The build quality is impressive as well. This keyboard comes jammed pack with features and accessories. The rocker, play/pause, and mute controls feel great. The keyboard has raiser stands and a detachable braided USB cable that I wish was easier to replace but is very nice and has decent length. The magnetic wrist wrap feels solid yet comfortable. A keycap/switch pull tool was included as well. Once plugged in, the RGB lighting is outstanding. There is very little light bleed, and the letters are well lit for the most part. The double-shot ABS keycaps have a nice feel that minimizes slips. They sound amazin. Now, this keyboard features orange tactile mechanical switches, which feel amazing when typing, but some gamers prefer linear as I mostly do. However, I put these switches to the test and the travel and activation are not bad at all, and I became used to them rather quickly. I then switched them for yellow linear switches and now I am not sure which ones I prefer. As advertised, this keyboard is fully customizable. First, the switches are 3 pins, but the socket allows for 5 pin switches. Using the included tool, replacing them is a simple task. When I say customizable, I mean everything. From the switches and keycaps to the MX style stabilizers topside. Now, if you wish to go even further, everything inside can also be customized or replaced. That includes the FR4 metal plate, gasket mounts, and dampening tape. Just keep in mind that opening the chassis will void the warranty. While the RGB can be changed via the keyboard, the Razer Synapse Software allows for much more customization, such as macros, media functions, and RGB patterns. The keyboard comes with a polling rate of 1000 stock, but it can also go to a whopping 8000! All these changes can be saved in profiles. If there is one thing to nitpick, it would be that this keyboard is not wireless. However, this is being marketed to gamers and enthusiasts, so that may not be a negative to some. Now, this may be a gaming keyboard, but it has all the benefits of a pre-build if that is what you want. Not only that, but this is a great offering for those enthusiasts who like to build or tinker without breaking the bank.

This is Razer's first foray into the market of "custom" style keyboards and I believe they more or less nailed it. As the product states, this is a 75% layout which is a great middle ground between smaller 65% and TKL (80%) products. The 65% is closer to the 75% design, albeit no FKEY row, which can be extremely useful for quick camera control in MOBA games. I was actually using my Razer 60% Huntsman Mini (White) for a year prior to acquiring this. While I do love the 60% form factor for compactness..it had also become an annoyance for everyday computing. BIOS,Task manager, and in game console commands all required me to use the function key with alternative key settings. I didn't mind it at first, but I was thinking that I should go back to larger design over time.. I didn't want another TKL (80%), but also didn't want a different 60/65%... Enter BlackWidow V4 75%. Form factor is Perfect! Its not quite a TKL, but also not small enough to be too bulky for my preferences. The only downside that I have from this specific 75% design is that the right shift key is smaller than I'm used to. I tend to use right shift more than the left side so I've had a harder time trying to adjust. With that said.. lets get started with what I think! SUBJECTIVE FEEL: 10 finger typist will end up loving this as the key feel is very balanced. The gasket and padding from its "custom" oriented design will give you exceptional feedback that you will not experience on your average gaming keyboard. If you use a two-three fingers typing style, the 50g tactile switches might be a little too heavy relative to a 40-45G key of any style with specific actuation/travel points, especially due to that padding/gasket material. I'm in the middle of both of these typing styles and while I don't exactly love the 50g Razer orange switches... I can respect them for what they are. Also note that I am coming from a 45g Razer optical keyboard with lower actuation point so this has been a harder adjustment for typing from my hybrid style. "hint hint razer ;)" On the flip side.. I actually prefer having heavier switches in gaming. I feel that I have more control over my game, but it will be inverse for a lot of people, especially those that like to spam buttons is specific games. It's really a trade off... Luckily, this is also razers first hot swappable keyboard and you can swap out the switches for something different later on. 3-5 stem plug designs. On that note... I did try a "red" switch from another hot swap keyboard that I have, but I didn't like the way it felt, or the way the LED shined through the caps. I would recommend an alternative switch kit from Razer themselves if you go this route. BUILD QUALITY: I expected better.. just average for me. Nothing really stands out. The aluminum plate is thin and hovers over the plastic shell. From looking at photos and videos of people that opened one of these up, you can easily tell that the PCB quality is top notch relative to competitors. Plus in my book. Volume rocker is metal, but the mute and pause switches feel plastic. Mixed feelings here. CONS: -If i have to knock anything.. its the ABS key caps. My PBT caps on my other Razer keyboard still look brand new, but ABS has always degraded over time. They had to cut corners somewhere, and its unfortunately here. I don't think they sell a replacement key cap set for 75% due to custom FN and shift key size so this may be a problem long term. ABS may also turn color over time.. Especially on white.. I think it's a fair warning. -Due to the nature of the design and use of FR4 PCB for a plate mount, this keyboard doesn't have an exposed floating top plate, meaning hair and particles will slide down and you will have to remove caps and keys to clean it. It's not as bad as a regular TKL since everything is in one bank, but the floating plate designs are superior if you have compressed air or a hair dryer (cold air) to blow it out. This can be looked as a both a positive and negative, but I thought I'd share the limitations. - The USB-C cable doesn't have a locking channel. Is it a big problem? No, but other Razer keyboards have this. PROS/BENEFITS: -Hot swap PCB design -High end NXP MCU capable of 8000hz polling -Very comfortable wrist rest if you choose to use it. (I don't) -Compact 75% layout!!! OVERALL: Is it my absolute favorite keyboard for subjective feel? No, but I do like it and will continue using it for a good while. I think razer did a good overall job with it and hope they improve on the downsides... Both subjective and objective. Solid 4/5 from me.

Unboxing the BlackWidow V4 was a moment of excitement. Razer's distinct packaging sets the stage for what's inside. Opening it reveals the keyboard, a user manual, and any accompanying extras. My initial impressions were highly positive. The keyboard exudes quality, boasting a robust build and well-thought-out features. Typing on the BlackWidow V4 is a real pleasure. The Orange switches deliver a tactile bump without the loud click of traditional mechanical switches. Whether I'm engaging in extended typing sessions or sending quick chat messages, the keyboard guarantees accuracy and comfort. The actuation force is just right, striking a balance between swift response for gaming and comfortable typing for everyday tasks. This is where Razer's expertise in keyboard design shines through. The BlackWidow V4 is a gaming powerhouse. With gamers in mind, it features key rollover and anti-ghosting capabilities that prevent missed or incorrect keypresses during intense gaming sessions. The tactile feedback of the Orange switches enhances precision, and the customizable RGB lighting adds an extra layer of immersion to anyone's gaming setup. Its compact form factor allows for better mouse movement, a critical advantage when you don't have a lot of desk space. My experience with the Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Wired Keyboard has been nothing short of exceptional. This keyboard expertly blends aesthetics, functionality, and durability, making it an attractive choice for gamers and computer enthusiasts like me. The tactile and responsive Orange switches, customizable RGB lighting, and intuitive software support solidify its place in the world of gaming peripherals. If you're in search of a compact powerhouse that doesn't compromise on performance, the BlackWidow V4 is a compelling choice.

The Razer - BlackWidow V4 75% Wired Orange Switch Gaming keyboard in white is visually very pleasing. Our gaming computer was personally built by our son and the case that he purchased to house the internal computer parts is also white with a see-through case. So, this combination of case and keyboard go better together. However, the white of this keyboard is more of a matte white rather than gloss white. So, will that makes a difference in what color you will pick for your keyboard, trying to make all of your white components blend and look integrated together. However, the Razer reputation is well-known among gaming products and I expected this keyboard to perform just like our originally purchased 75% keyboard from another well-known manufacturer that is in the same price category. What I do like about this keyboard is the RGB that is installed in its program. To compare and contrast, the keyboard that was originally ordered just lights up its colors, but this Razer software, involved in controlling the lighting, is somewhat confusing at first when using, but once you figure it out it is easy to control. The one thing I am not a fan of with this keyboard is that the keys do not respond as quickly as the one previously purchased. I feel that the Razer keys are just stuck so slightly more, and feel heavier than my first-bought keyboard. Overall, I am giving this keyboard a 4 out of 5 stars due to the key reaction. Otherwise, this keyboard is perfect for anyone looking for a beginning gaming keyboard and for those of us who love to see all our gaming equipment light up and cycle through all the colors of the rainbow as we play into the night.

The good: hot swappable design, pre lubed switches and stabs, 75% form factor, RGB (if you like it), excellent media controls. The bad: RGB (if you don't like it), included switches may not be for everyone, expensive to customize, razer synapse still no bueno In the box: keeyboard, wrist rest, braided white usb-c cable, keycap puller, documentation So first things first, I love this board. As soon as I pulled it out of the packaging and got my hands on I was impressed. This board has the razer orange tactile switches (gen3) and I love them. They have the tactile feel that I like (longtime mx blue user) but the sound and feel of them is terrific. This is easly the best typing experience I've had on a prebuilt keeb. The switches come prelubed from the factory and you can tell. The travel and sound of them is so nice. Nowhere near as loud as other switches, though the spacebar is noticeably louder. You'd be hard pressed to build even the cheapest custom board for this price. Having said that, if these switches aren't to your taste, it can get expensive. If you want to replace them and don't already know which switches you'd prefer, grab a cheap sampler online. The stabilizers on the longer keys also come pre lubed and are just great in general. As mentioned the space bar is slightly louder than the other keys, but that's normal. Design-wise it's a pretty standard 75% layout. You lose your number pad keys and the key cluster that lives above your arrow keys on a full sized board. No big deal for me, though I do miss print screen for screen capture. I love the size for gaming, gives me much more room for my mouse. You get a very nice volume rocker with discrete stops, mute switch, and media play/pause key. I really like this setup. The caps lock key turns white win enabled. The white colorway looks fantastic with or without RGB, but with RGB it really shines. Even with completely opaque keycaps, which feel great, the board just looks gorgeous. Oh yeah the keycaps, they're ABS not doubleshot PBT which are widely regarded as the best for quality and longevity. These feel really well made though, not thin chintzy caps so right now I'm not worried. Worst case scenario you can grab a keycap set you like (make sure you select a set with the correct stems). To get the most out of the board though you're going to have to install razer synapse. The bad news is that synapse is as bloated as ever, and frankly not worth the trouble. Razer has been iterating on this for years now, and to be honest it's about average as far as this kind of software is concerned. It's at the very least on par from what other manufacturers are putting out. If you want to get deep into customization you're going to have to use it. But there is some good news. If you're on windows 11, a recent update has brought RGB control to a wide range of peripherals. When I first plugged in the board a razer synapse prompt popped up. I kind of groaned, but then another popup appeared asking me if I wanted windows to control the lighting. It's more limited than what you can do with synapse for sure, but the convenience of not having another piece of software running the background, a piece of software that's going to fight with my cooler and mobo software ... totally worth that small sacrifice. I did check out synapse for the extra rgb effects and other features, but it's just not worth it for me. So you have options finally which is nice. The wrist rest is a nice touch. I never use these things since they're usually just cheap plastic, but this one is a soft leatherish material. Feels super comfortable. It's also magnetic, not so strong that you have to pry it off the board, but strong enough so it'll stay in place. This is a big step up from the cheap plastic wrist rests that snap onto the bottom of your board. It's a nice touch, though i am concerned about it's durability, and whether or not it'll discolor. Such is the life of white peripheral enjoyer. I feel worth mentioning that this is not my first mechanical keyboard. I've only used prebuilt boards because well, I'm not a millionaire, and I can't justify the price for the kind of build I'd be interested in. I have used a lot of mechanical boards though. I went through three razer blackwidow ultimate boards back in the day (and another 5 or 6 non razer boards since), each one developed a fault with some of the switches right around the one year mark. There would be cross talk or chatter or other issues. It was very disappointing because I loved those boards, they were pretty much the only option back then. I chalk that up to using different switches. It happens. But that is one of the massive benefits of having a hotswappable board. You don't have to junk your expensive board if one switch goes bad, you can just grab some more switches (pricey but still cheaper than a new board) and replace the bad one. Of course you'll want to grab a switch puller which is not included. These are relatively cheap, but still ... it would've been nice to have one included as well as a few extra switches. Final thoughts: Overall, this is just an insanely good keyboard. If you're new to mech keebs, or you've only ever used prebuilt keebs, this is definitely worth a look. There are some downsides such as reliance on synapse software for full customization and only one switch option, but that will vary depending on personal preference. Personally I'm happy with a simple static RGB color, and I LOVE these switches so neither of these is a problem. Razer should offer this board with their other switches, I honestly can't fathom why they haven't. Different switch options, spare switches, and a switch puller, would easily make this the perfect package, but even without those it's so close. Just a great keyboard whether you're into gaming or productivity. The ergonomics of a board like this for long typing sessions can't be beat. It's simply fantastic.

My first impressions of this keyboard out of the box, it’s a great looking keyboard, the white looks really nice, I think it looks better in person vs. the photos. It feels really solid, when typing, no rattles or anything. The top plate is aluminum while the sides and bottom are plastic. I found the size to be perfect, not too large but not small either (approximately 12W”x6”D). Setting up the keyboard was simple, as soon as I plugged in the USB-A connector, a prompt to install the Razer software came up, within a few minutes, software was installed and I was ready to start customizing my keyboard! The wrist rest snaps onto the keyboard magnetically, it’s a good size and the material is soft. It puts my hands in a comfortable typing position, without the wrist rest, the keyboard feels uncomfortably high. You can flip out the legs to make the keyboard higher, there are two different levels to choose from. Without having them up, the keyboard is still at a slight angle. The keyboard is highly customizable with the lighting and keys controls. I can customize each individual key by brightness, function, text function, etc. This is actually my first gaming keyboard. While I don’t game as often as I’d like, I can see how being able to customize the keys would be very helpful. You can even use the Hypershift feature to have a program start up. Just for kicks, in the Synapse program, I customize certain letters to open the Office applications I normally use. To use the shortcut, press the “Hypershift” key, which is “fn” to the right of the space bar, and your shortcut key. I was able to create shortcuts to launch Excel, Word etc. Such a great feature, so convenient. But all this is just the tip of the iceberg of what the keyboard can do. The lighting effects can range from a simple single color to various patterns such as “breathing” or “fire” patterns, on all keys, or some keys. As a beginner, it’s almost overwhelming amount of customizations you can do. I’m sure with time, I’ll figure it out, just my productivity will suffer in the short term. I appreciate the flexibility of the hot swappable keys design, most likely, I’ll be sticking with these keys. There is so much to like about this keyboard. Here are a few reasons: It feels great typing and I love how the orange switches sound and feel, not too loud and just the right amount of feedback. I appreciate how solid the keyboard feels, it’s not a heavy keyboard, yet, it feels like it’s stuck to my table and won’t move or bounce around like cheap keyboards may. The volume scroll wheel is very convenient, they should have this on all keyboards! This is so much better than the keyboards that come with the PC’s, I know it’s not a valid comparison, but that’s what I use 50% of the time, the other 50% is laptop keyboards. While the price point may be high, it’s in the same ballpark as other gaming keyboards with these comparable features. Furthermore, the design of the keyboard is sleek and clean. The white color gives the keyboard a sophisticated look. As I use this keyboard more, the more I like it. I actually ordered this for my daughter, she may have a hard time getting it from me!

The size of the keyboard was perfect for my desk & setup. Very comfortable and easy to game & work with. However, I have an issue with the keyboard double typing keys (if not more). Changing the polling rate helps but it did not resolve the issue on my side. Search for "Razer Blackwidow v4 75% typos" and you'll see I'm not the only one experiencing this. I ended up changing the switches.
