Highly Reccomended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the last year I've gone through several mech keyboards (cherry reds, cherry silents, and cherry browns). This one takes the cake as far as satisfying typing goes. And the actuation is closer to the initial press of the key than blues or browns. There's something about the click that feels right to me - and I know others. Razer has worked on their switches and now claims an 80 million stroke lifespan - which is impressive. They seem to have done so by breaking off their engagement to Khail. The chroma lighting is best I've seen - though the corsair software has some impressive customization - this keyboard has it beat simply via the razer chroma apps. Having companies like blizzard and valve create custom reactive color schemes that auto open when the game starts is fantastic, and works well. The one thing you might miss on this keyboard over it's competition and even sister models is the macro keys. However, the blackwidow chroma (2015) is just as good but takes up much more space than the blackwidow x does. The understated metal plate that makes up the body of the keyboard is very appealing, much prefer the look of exposed switches to having a big plastic cover. And it's a real space saver desk wise as far as mechanical gaming keyboards go.
