Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Chroma Addressable RGB Controller's ability to expand RGB lighting options and its ease of use. Many appreciate its compatibility with various brands and the quality of its construction, although some users experienced issues with the connector type, port tightness, and software integration. The controller's limited number of ARGB headers and occasional software glitches were also noted as drawbacks. Despite these minor shortcomings, the product's ability to enhance RGB customization remains a significant positive.

Purchased the Controller to handle the issue of not having enough (RE: ANY) of the same pin setup RGB headers on my board, to match the new Case I purchased. Asus's proprietary connection worked fine with everything else, except that. The Addressable controller has more than enough connections for my setup, and then some. While you may have to run an additional light program to get everything synced (I'm now running Asus Aura along with Razer Central), Razer's program seems to play nice with other apps. Note: If you're having problems with the lights/apps not syncing, you may need to either relaunch both apps, or make sure your settings are proper for letting Razer Central have the final say in light settings.

Great little hub. Easy enough to get connected and running. Only issue is it uses molex for power.

Great ARGB alternative for cheap motherboards

Whether you want to add ARGB to your computer that doesn't have motherboard support or you bought a cheap motherboard like ASROCK or Gigabyte that has limited support for ARGB, this is a great device to add it on. This performs similar to the more expensive Corsair iCUE but at a lower price point. The Razer Chroma software is nice and fits well if you already have a Razer ecosystem with their keyboard and mice. While it's not as feature rich as Corsair iCUE, it is excellent on a budget or if you already have a Razer ecosystem in your gaming setup.

Worked exactly how it should! This is perfect for anyone who doesn't have a 3pin argb header on their motherboard. It plugs in using a molex cable and an internal USB 2.0 header. I'm using it to control 4 Fractal Design prisma fans and have no problems.

This little unit makes it so that you can unify your Chroma setup once and for all. If you have a bunch of A-RGB 5v 3-pin devices like light strips and fans, or even like my setup with EKWB parts, this is perfect. Don't have to worry about installing any sort of motherboard RGB software anymore. Synapse 3 definitely gets a lot of hate, but I haven't had any major issues that warrant ditching it for something like iCue.

Very nice controller. You can come up with some cool effects once you play around enough with it and get familiar with all the little details of Chroma. My biggest gripes are Molex power, its 2021 go with SATA already, and how small the recesses are for cables. I had to shave down almost all my RBB header's casings to get them to fit in. Other than that it's working great. Also I read you could use two together so I bought 2 but synapse would only pick up one. Not sure if it's my mobos usb header, doa controller or something else. All in all if you need a controller it's a good option at a good price. Hopefully some of the design issues will be worked out for 2.0.

does what it needs too, however the ARGB header slots are a wierd size, some cables will fall off others need to be jammed in there. but does what it needs too and makes it easy to sync your lights molex...really?

i'd give it 5 stars but the sockets are just a hair too tight to safely get most fans and devices plugged in. i had to shave the plugs slightly to get them to fit in the sockets. once you get it synched up with Chroma it works like a dream.

works pretty well, but tons of bugs and hardware issues. First off, the pins are too thin for a standard A-RGB header so the connect kept falling out, i needed to use electrical tape to wrap the connector. The software reset itself on me 2x since i've owned it, causing the lights to blink then turn off, uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it but again, kind of annoying when you paid for an external controller specifically for better effects. that being said, once those headaches are out of the way, its actually pretty good. effects are easy to set up, very smooth transitions. but if i had to do it all over, i'd probably go with something else.

Need to improve the Razer software. Sometimes, software just defaults to the basic lighting effects and not the advanced lighting effects configured through the chroma studio.

If you're looking to add more fine-tuned control over your compter's RGB lighting, this is a good option. It works best if you have a lot of other Razer peripherals, so everything is cohesive. Synapse control software allows you to have control over each individual led on your fans, strips, and other RGB accessories.

Love it! Used it in my girlfriend's rig due to her motherboard not having an ARGB header. Razer Synapse is a good lighting software, so I would definitely recommend it if you're in the same boat!

Although it does the job. One issue is the 3 pin header a bit difficult to remove. Also your anti virus may have to be disable temporarily to installed. May get error 142 if the software doesn't install correctly. Also a bit bulky. No magnet on back. It does have 6 3 pins connectors. It does require a SATA Power 15-Pin Male to 4-Pin Molex Female adapter for power if the pc doesn't have one. Other connection needed a usb 9 pin header on motherboard.

This controller was really easy to setup. I was able to move all of my existing aRGB devices to this unit and configure it in under 30 minutes. It automatically detects the type of device connected along with the number of LEDs for each device. It just works

Awesome if you want to control 3rd party lights with Razer Synapse. The connection ports could be better as they seem to get looser over time. I recommend tape to hold them in
