Razor Kraken Pro V2 Headphones When I opened the package, everything was neatly packed and ready to go. However, the first thing I noticed was the wow factor of the Neon Green goodness! Trying on the headphones was real nice, compared to some turtle beaches that I have that tend to hurt your ears after about 20 minutes. I like the over the ear design of this unit. I tested them first on my laptop and listen to some music and watched some videos. The sound was very nice for this level of headphones. Game play on the laptop did not disappoint either. All of the low, mid and high range sounds came in pretty good. The hideaway Mic is a nice touch which adds to the versatility of the headphones. I then tested them on my phone listening to music, while I surfed, and wrote for a while. Same results as the laptop. I then tested them on my gaming PC, playing a few old-school arcade games and some new COD. All of the games I played had outstanding sound. Finally, on to my Xbox One S, for some Battlefield, the sound was phenomenal, I could hear people walking or running up on my which is an added advantage against people who like to sneak attack. I was enjoying playing with the new headphones so much, before I knew it and hour had past. Ears were still good to go. The Pro V2 comes with everything to need to go from Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Laptop or phone in a flash with the included splitter adapter with a Mic and audio jacks for the PC/MAC devices. I would recommend them to friends and family alike.

    Phenomenal Sound, Amazing Comfort

Design: The Razer Kraken Pro V2 headset has a premium look and feel. The headset seems durable and flexible, especially the headband, which can be bent at all angles and still return to its original form. Although the Kraken Pro V2 is not wireless, the cable is plenty long for my needs, and it is braided, which is a nice touch. Finally, the mic is fully retractable, which makes it easy to adjust and keep from view when not in use. Audio Quality: With clear sound and powerful bass, I would describe the audio quality as phenomenal! Even games that I have experienced many times sound different because I can hear things I could not hear before, and the clarity and bass change the feel of the game. Voices from other players on chat are also clear, and I have been told that my voice sounds clear to them as well. Comfort: The Kraken Pro V2 is one of the lightest gaming headsets I have ever felt. I do not feel weighted down when I put them on, which is a relief for my neck. Additionally, the ear cushions are large and soft. The box comes with circular cushions, which work great for me, but oval-shaped cushions can be purchased separately if desired. Another reason I think this headset is comfortable is because I do not feel like my ears are clamped down, which has been a complaint I have had with previous headsets, but at the same time the headset does not feel too loose, and I do not worry about it falling off. I feel comfortable wearing this headset even during extended gaming sessions. Verdict: These are the best gaming headphones I have used in years. There are more feature-packed, expensive headphones out there, but the Kraken Pro V2 headset is a tremendous value at its price. The high-quality audio and great comfort are the selling points for this headset, and I have been very impressed. I highly recommend the Razer Kraken Pro V2 headset!

This review is for the Razer Kraken Pro v2 Wired Stereo Gaming Headset will be based on using it to play BF1 and BF4 on a PC as I do not have an Xbox One, Playstation 4 or Mac. To begin with, the Kraken V2 comes with large 40mm neodymium magnetic drivers that provide very good deep bass, good mid's and clear highs for gaming. I also tried them out for music listening on my iPod just for the fun of it, and while they are nowhere as good as my Bose headphones, these would be OK for casual listening to music. As for the microphone, it's fully retractable and pulls out from the left ear cup. Others heard me loud and clear when playing BF1 or BF4 PC versions. The audio and microphone are controlled by a small in-line control unit where you can quickly raise or lower the headset volume and mute the microphone. This is a wired headset, and believe me, you get plenty of length on the wire. The wiring comes in two parts. The hard wired part that connects to the headset has a 3.5 mm jack which is 54 inches long, and it also has an extension cable that gives you an additional 60 inches for a total of 10 1/2 feet of cord. The end of the extension cable has two 3.5 mm jacks. One is for the audio, the other is for the microphone. My PC has those input jacks on the front of the computer. You could also plug them into you audio card, motherboard jacks, or perhaps your speaker module depending on your setup. While playing my games, the Kraken Pro V2's did an outstanding job for the microphone, but the speakers is where they really shine. I could hear everything going on in my environment from bullets hitting near me, to the low deep bass of the tanks that I was commanding. I usually will game for an hour or two each day during the week and many hours on the weekends. The Kraken Pro V2's are light and very comfortable and did not feel heavy on my head. The Kraken Pro V2 doesn't offer surround-sound per se, but you can download from Razers website called Razer Synapse and calibrate your headset for a virtual 7.1-surround experience. I downloaded the software and it seems to work just fine for my Pro V2. It offers a graphic equalizer, and optional enhancements like bass boost, sound normalization, and one called "voice clarity. The Pro V2 comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

These headphones take it back to the core of headphones. Simple and effective. There is no need for batteries, flashy lights, different directional buttons or special apps. These are straight up wired headphones with microphone and they do a great job at being that. The Razer - Kraken Pro v2 Wired Stereo Gaming Headset looks big and heavy, but it is lightweight. They are big and with that they fit around my huge ears in any direction. The thick ear pads help create some noise isolation and feel comfortable for long term use. The material is like a light leather and does create a bit of a moisture barrier, so if you are a bit hot headed it can build some sweat. The headband is soft and flexible, capable of taking some twisting on and off of the head. The in-line volume and microphone controls along the braided cord are simple and make it easy for quick changes. These work great in game controllers, phones, media players and with the extra splitter adapter it will work in devices that had separate headphone and microphone ports. Available colors are green, white, and black.

This is a great pair of headphones if you have a gamer in the family! They look amazing, sound really good (could be used for music as well), microphone sound quality is great and sensitivity is good enough so you can talk normally without rising your voice. Headphones fit just fine on a 10 year old as well as on adult. 6' cord is fabric braided and very pleasant to feel, in addition to that Razer included 6' extension/splitter cable that could be used for computers with separate headphones/mic jacks. Mic is mounted on the retractable arm that is easy to adjust so it's close to your mouth for a great sound quality and gaming experience. There is a volume control and mute switch on the cable. Tested the headphones with xBox One controller and was very impressed with the sound quality. On the downside - I wish cable would be detachable (so it would be possible to replace it). Also microphone could not be moved over to the right ear cup - it's permanently mounted on the left one, more advanced gaming headphones often provide that option. Overall - it's a real good set for any gamer! It may lack some features of more advanced models, but for the price - these headphones are totally worth it!

The first thing that impressed me about the Kraken Pro headset was the packaging, which was professional, practical and vibrant (bright green). There is no R or L indicators on the ear cups - but they are not needed since the retractable microphone makes it obvious which way to put them on. The ear cups are very comfortable. The inline microphone controls are easy to use - there is a toggle for mute and a wheel for volume. The cord is great - it is not your typical wire, it has a woven cording over it. The retractable microphone is very convenient. The sound when using the headset is very rich and not distorted. The recording quality, when using Camtasia, was a little tinny, even though I had the echo cancellation and noise suppression features turned on in my audio manager settings. This was evident when using the headphones for playback, but when using the speakers the sound quality was just fine. Overall, the headset is comfortable, easy to use and has good quality.

    Best Gaming Headphones

Definitely, hands down the best gaming headphones to date. I used to use Rig headphones and now I am a true fan of Kraken. 1. Better surround sound and noise installations. In most games, you can hear the specific direction in which the noise is coming from. This is great for games that sound is important in the game. You can hear things like planes in far distance, footsteps, etc. 2. Better mic quality. When talking, the mic picks up my voice instead of the noise in the room. 3. Comfort. After gaming for hours, the headphones are still very comfortable. My old pair of headphones would get hot after a certain amount of time, but these are great, they don't heat up and I have tested for up 14 hours. 4. The mic retracts. The only downside is even when the mic is retracted inside of the headphone, it is still on. You have to make sure you mute the mic. 5. There is an extra cord for computer playing, there is an audio/mic cord that included.

I was greeted by a bold green Razer headset and it's fun so a great way to start. At first I thought that I need a wireless but after playing a while I think the wired is not too bad because my dual shock controller is already wireless so 1 less thing to worry about charging. With all the padded comfort you are going to sometimes forget that you have them on. Maybe not that comfortable but they are. Sound was just ok to me but I'm not a pro but I know what I like but not a deal breaker. The control dial for the volume feels cheap so I'm not sure if it will handle much wear and tear. The cable feels durable and wrapped nicely in a mesh nylon. I like the retractable mic because I can get rid of it when I'm not using it. Using this Razer Kraken pro v2 headset is a much better experience than just the tv speakers when I'm playing my PS4. Overall I would say they are great especially for my first gaming headset.

I recieved these, in exchange for my honest review! Ive used these multiple times, for pc gaming. The sound is very robust for 50.00 headphones, and the retractible mic is a awesome feature. I wish these came in white to match my gaming pc, but green is ok.

I had always thought going wireless was always the best option while gaming, but that's not the case anymore for me. Ever since using the Kraken Pro, I actually prefer it to be wired. Benefits over bluetooth? Well for one, I don't have to charge it after a long gaming session. Two, I thought the wire would get in my way; I didn't even notice it. Three, comfort level is definitely there with the over the ear design (I wear glasses and I didn't experience any discomfort with it). Maybe it's me, but the volume could be louder, I had it on max and it was okay but for gamers who prefers it to be loud, you might think it's not loud enough. Overall, great headset. Thanks.

Since I have been wanting a RAZER headset for a long time, I feel that the Kraken Pro v2 headset is the one to get, and test out. And, I have to say that I am impressed. Very good audio, smooth headset earcup cushions, a retractable microphone, and a volume control setter. As a video gamer myself, this headset is highly recommended by me.

These are extremely comfortable and the sound on them is great. The mic is very good as well, at least according to the folks I game with online. I used to have a set of Steel Series and as soon as I signed into Curse chat, they immediately remarked on how good the new mic was. I am a bit of an audiophile for headphones and these are not up to that standard for music, but they are no slouch either. The bass is nice and punchy for games and since I use other Razer products, the virtual surround through the synapse program is actually pretty good.

Another quality product from Razer. The headset is super comfortable and sounds nice, however the low end is slightly lacking. They don't sound as good as the original Kraken Pro's (v1 if you will), but definitely don't lack in sound quality either.

The best gaming headset I have purchased in years. My picky teen has gone through lots of PC gaming headsets over the years. We've owned two different Turtle Beach headsets, simpler and cheap Sony headphones, and a smattering of 3rd party knock offs. This is the first headset that has actually lived up to its promise--great sound and great build quality. As soon as you pick them up, you can feel the difference in quality, both in the headset and in its cabling. No cheap cables that will break in 6 months like other major brands. The sound is rich and deep--not hollow and tinny. It's been several months and they are still as great as when they were bought. I highly recommend this headset, and the Razer brand has proven to be worth the price.

The Kraken Pro v2 headset has been extremely useful as I primarily play console multiplayer games (e.g., Destiny 2, COD, GOW, etc.). I have Astro A50s, but the Kraken headset has replaced them because the A50s have been dying too quick in my gaming sessions (typically around the four hour mark). It's inconvenient that they die so quickly since the sound in them is probably a step up from the Kraken Pro v2, but this headset will suffice for the casual gamer.
